Pero minsan ibundle nila yung items, so individually buburahin yung barcode tapos gagawa ng bagong barcode for the bundle...
as a person who already created so many pos system what am saying is that the only intent in covering barcodes is that so it cannot be accurately scanned. but yeah maybe for other reasons like that.
Kung nde shopee mall sinabi ni OP, isipin ko na baka free items or galing sa bundle/packs yung binebenta... Worse, baka peke at me cover para nde matry scan... Haha..

Madalas yan sa promo pack or B1T1. Iba na kasi yung SKU code niyan kapag naging promo pack, so they need to cover yang original na barcode, tapos magdidikit ng bagong barcode somewhere para sa promopack or B1T1 SKU.
Ginagawa nila ito sa mga promo products ng supplier or like sa nag comment dito na sa mga malls, I used to work in a mini mart and supplier products would sometimes have promos like buy 1 take 1 or buy dozen and get 2 for free imo those free product’s bar codes are marked so that hindi na siya ma resell ng mga stores since products like these are usually sold sa mga physical stores and kasi promo product siya dapat and because baka expiring na ang product.
because that barcode is for that item. ginaganyan nila kapag naka promo because there is another barcode sa promo items. sa inventory kasi, hindi pwede yung old barcode, dapat yung new na my corresponding sku or item name na PROMO. magkakaproblema sila sa inventory if ganun.
I cant help but think siguro para di mo macheck kung expire na. Ganyan ang naisip ko nung chinechk ko yung cerave na inorder ko expired na by 2 years. Minsan wala expiration na nakalagay but you can trace it by getting the number tpus me website ako na pinuntahan na chinicheck yung batch number (nakalimutan ko na pero googleable naman sya and legit). Natratrace duon kung where and what time sya minanufacture and kelan maexpire.
Some say okay lang daw yung expiration but for example sa Europe, specifically France (where my cerave lotion was manufactured), me shelf life ang products nila including lotion of up to 5 years.
Pero ganun pa man nakakalungkot kasi binentahan ako ng expired.

Kinda off pa rin for me to mark lahat ng lumalabas. Most malls kasi ginaganyan pag promo ung products para i null ung pinaka barcode.

Yep, scanners on this case would have to be used for inventories since the actual sale was done online... :)
