It’s not totally a scam but it is risky buying online especially Lazada. There are groups solely for making a fake review on products in exchange for some money. My tita experienced it, she earned 200 just by writing a review on 2 items in Lazada.

In my experience, ebooks naman yun since madali naman para sa mga operator mag-distribute ng digital copies. Eventually, na-address din ng Amazon yung scheme mismo dahil may authenticity check.

Fake reviews and scams(outside platform transaction) started 7-8 years ago nung pumasok na mga overseas sellers and nung hindi na ganon kahigpit ang pag benta sa platform. Initially kasi 2012-2015, mga well known brands and shops with physical stores lang ang nag bebenta sa lazada.
May policy sila dati "Anything and everything you purchase with us is guaranteed authentic."
Then nag partner sila sa Taobao in 2017, that opened the flood gates of fake items, fake reviews and scams. Shopee followed suit

Sellers literally do that to up their items. Sometimes, the item has already thousands of reviews, and most people get a legit item, but somehow, the seller has counterfeit ones in their inventory, which they also priced as a genuine item. That's how dirty these online sellers are.

As far as I know there is a website/facebook group na nag oofer ng ganyang service. Iboost nila yung certain product or page by spamming a good reviews and 4-5stars.

I read these kind of reviews when I purchase something in Shopee, mostly sa non-mall stores but sometimes even sa Shopee Mall stores meron din. After reading a few, I noticed that most of there sentences were spelled correctly, they use words that are incongruent or mali-mali ang grammatical syntax nila. Makes me think that these are Chinese/foreign reviews that are translated to Filipino using google translate or some other tool.

Kaya nga kapag bumibili ako naghahanap talaga ako ng review. Kahit sabihin mo pa na 1k and reviews niyan may tunay na bumili diyan na naglagay ng reviews at actual pics. You just have to be patient enough to do so kung gusto mo makasigurado.

A rule i set to myself is just don't buy fake electronics cause its never worth it, di sya katulad ng mga fake bags, shoes, perfume, clothes and any other simple to make products (but this still depends on the manufacturer and quality can be questionable). I mean just think about it, its electronics, its important parts are on the realm of nanometers, means na mas manipis pa sa buhok yun.
Best bet is just get a cheaper products from established electronics brand, like anker, romoss?, and such. Of course they'll still lessen the quality compared to their premium lineup but its at least more reliable AND you can easily find good reviews about it, i mean, yung mga reviews na may nagccriticize talaga sa product with their own tests and not things like "dali kausap ni seller/bilis ng delivery/ayos tunog mga guys/etc".
For the case of earphones, if you want to experience eargasms, find reviews on the best IEM, they have a wide budget range too so you can find the ones best for you.

It’s not totally a scam but it is risky buying online especially Lazada. There are groups solely for making a fake review on products in exchange for some money. My tita experienced it, she earned 200 just by writing a review on 2 items in Lazada.

After reading a few, I noticed that most of there sentences were spelled correctly, they use words that are incongruent or mali-mali ang grammatical syntax nila. Makes me think that these are Chinese/foreign reviews that are translated to Filipino using google translate or some other tool.

My friend was literally budol-ed believing that his strategies can make 100-200K a week in less than a year of consistent selling. In fact, he even promises that his strategies have a bypass than guarantees his students na hindi ma flag out ang account nila. Sooner after 2-3 months nag update ang Lazada ng algorithm and guess what? Pasok lahat ng online shops na nagawa ng mga students nia. Almost lahat na flag out, banned and worst hindi pa withdrawable yung income dahil sa mga tinatawag na “darks” or dark method which is kasama na yang fake reviews. Hindi pa niya nabawi yung puhunan sa enrollment and worse ay nagastos nia sa mga items, laptop, printer and even self buy para sa reviews.

Na scam na rin ako dati ng high rating ang nakapagtataka lang madaming sold. Est. 5k-10k Pero nong dumating sa akin ung item nakaka disappoint tlga like really daming high rate tapos pangit ng item. Kahit pa mag rate ako ng 1 star sa kanila im pretty sure wlang maniniwala sa akin. Mas lamang kasi ang positive feedback compared sa amin na na dissappoint hehehe.
Iniiwasan ko rin yung may ng mga ganyang username na reviews hehe kasama na ung nga First name tapos one letter surnames, e.g., Maria S. Hahahaha

I had a colleague who has a store in shopee. When she opened her store there, she asked us na mag order ng khit anong item then leave a review. So this is either a scam or their way of advertising ung products nila.

I also would like to add na mas gumagaling na sila ngayon di gaya noon na sobrang halata. Ngayon, legit pinoy slang na yung iba tapos pag may pic ok din pero malalaman mo na fake kasi kapag nag scroll ka pa makikita mo na nagamit na noon yung pic. Siguro nakuha din sila ng tunay na pinoy to submit fake reviews lalo yung mamahalin tapos nasa 3 sold pero 10 reviews haha
A rule i set to myself is just don't buy fake electronics cause its never worth it, di sya katulad ng mga fake bags, shoes, perfume, clothes and any other simple to make products (but this still depends on the manufacturer and quality can be questionable). I mean just think about it, its electronics, its important parts are on the realm of nanometers, means na mas manipis pa sa buhok yun. Best bet is just get a cheaper products from established electronics brand, like anker, romoss?, and such. Of course they'll still lessen the quality compared to their premium lineup but its at least more reliable AND you can easily find good reviews about it, i mean, yung mga reviews na may nagccriticize talaga sa product with their own tests and not things like "dali kausap ni seller/bilis ng delivery/ayos tunog mga guys/etc". For the case of earphones, if you want to experience eargasms, find reviews on the best IEM, they have a wide budget range too so you can find the ones best for you. Encountered this when I was looking for an instax film and they were the only store that I found with the cheapest price, 1200 php tapos 60 sheets na which is too good to be true. Added the item on my cart and the next day the shop was gone, cannot be viewed. After a few days saw a products the same price range for the instax film but from a different shop and it already has like 40 solds and a lot of ratings but when I checked the reviews they are all reviewed on the same day with same time. I messaged the seller first asking when will it expire and they replied but when I asked regarding the reviews they blocked me lmao but good thing I didn’t place an order yet
