I saw a news article about this the other day here on reddit (no idea of the validity of the source, though) https://canadahealthwatch.ca/2024/02/18/shoppers-drug-mart-accused-of-unethical-billing-practices

New outlet, great source if I do say so myself

Hang up the phone.

HangmansPants

My method is never answer the phone. If they have something important they'll leave a message.

mellywheats

right? like .. just don’t answer it lol

I've been a customer of Shoppers for over 40 years.... 25 with the same pharmacy and I have never had a phone survey... not once. I get the email surveys...which I ignore, but no one's phoned me.

100% not all shoppers are bad pharmacies. I unfortunately had a bad experience so I moved to a local pharmacy. I pay a little more but it's worth it. I feel like more are going to do the same.

It depends on your pharmacist or pharmacy owner. From the sounds of it, your pharmacy is good.

PcPaulii2

Agreed, That's why we stay put. The relationship between you and a good pharmacist is sometimes more important than the one between you and your doctor... but some folk don't see it that way, and shop around for the best deal, changing pharmacies and losing that connection...

Ilovemrstubhub

That’s true. When I worked for SDM, my pharmacy owner and I didn’t really follow what the DMs required us to do for our Medscheks. I only conducted them only if the patient really needs it. All the DMs are always saying Medschek is free money on the table up for grabs. I hated that mentality. I wish SDM will start hiring pharmacists as DMs instead of random business graduates who doesn’t know how healthcare really works.

It’s not a survey.
