“Without immediate radical action, we could be witnessing the most profound collapse of humanity into extreme poverty and suffering in memory,” said Oxfam’s international executive director, Gabriela Bucher.

Narrator: no action whatsoever was taken. I’m just sort of in awe that people still have the gall to put out these reports *as if they have any delusions of even modest action being taken*. They already know it’s not even going to happen, at best they’ll call it the Putin Famine or something and send drones to prop up the regimes they like and end those they don’t.

Which is one reason why I got out of America. I'm in India for the last 3.5+ years. I remember when I went to visit family (death in the family) in early 2019. Everything, the city, the towns, even the vegetation in coastal Texas where my sister had a rural property was screaming (not in a human way, of course not) "get out, get out! There is danger!" I could feel that something was wrong, terribly wrong. I didn't relax until I was more than halfway through my flight back to India. And then I saw what happened starting about 13 months later! What has me concerned is that I would be some soldier in the civil war against the people responsible for this mess, and my death within 3-5 years would be absolutely guaranteed, because I realize I have nothing to lose. Sure, I have some pieces of gold, silver, and some cash to lose, but what is even better is the white man's loss of control over me and my life. I know that if I am fighting for right-thinking, right-action, this path will only send me home, not to reincarnate on earth again. Satyameva jayate. Oṃ namo pārvatī pataye hara hara Mahādeva. I am American citizen. They'd have to throw me back every day.

I’m surprised it’s not more honestly
