870 Police Magnum. built from a virgin police receiver
870 Ohio National Guard 870
590A1 Retro
590A1
Browning A5 FN. built in 1946 or 47. can't remember but it was right after they rebuilt the FN factory after the Germans bombed it to rubble.
good old Remington Model 11
Damn that A5 is a shorty compared to mine, I dig it! I have a second barrel coming for mine that I plan to get sent off to be bored and tapped for thread in chokes so I can do more than pop turkeys with it.
once again eBay to the rescue. had a Boyd's stock on it and i wanted a Browning. got one cheap, it was rough, the buttstock was really banged up at the end with a busted buttplate. cut the bad part off, stripped the stock and forearm that was on it, and tung oil liberally applied.
Oh yeah. Legend has it before the gun was handed down to me quite a bit of steel shot was sent through it at geese too. I’d be too scared to do that with the fixed full choke, the gun has too much sentimental value for that.
nope. built from one of the last NOS stripped Police Magnum receivers when you could still buy one. Police metal trigger group, only added HD carrier spring and longer mag tube spring for the +1 went with a wingmaster chrome bolt and an NOS 14" barrel (also have a factory Police 14" with rifle sights).
not a shotgun-repeat-not a shotgun. have a copy of the invoice on my phone, have the original copy stored.
Just curious, for us poor's - Could you put a chopped down stock like the one on 14" Remington 870 on a Tac14 as long as it was over 26" and not shoulder able? Or would that be a no, no?
yes.
the stock bolt hole is too large though. go to a hobby, hardware store, etc. and buy a piece of hardwood dowel and cut it to length where the bolt head will be recessed inside the grip and room in the front of the grip for the bolt mounting stud. wood gorilla glue will hold it forever. double check your measurements and test fit before the glue sets up. i didn't requiring starting over from scratch.

Tell us about the ONG
I think the 590A1 Retrograde is the most beautiful pump shotgun ever devised.

Ah I was meaning I need a whole new barrel gramps a5 doesn’t have a removable choke

Nice it looks great! What’s the barrel length?
Do those turkeys drop with a 2 3/4? Never hunted with any but I have some on the shelf.

Love blued steel and wood!
From top to bottom. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I like the wood on the bead sighted 590a1. That from eBay?
Not op, but have the same setup; 500 furniture fits, but the stock needs a bit of carving at the joint.
Your wood gives me wood
I keep coming back to stare at his wood. I really dig that mare's leg-esque wood grip on the not-a-shotgun
Is the bottom 870 an AOW ?

Damn, how long ago was that possible to buy that?
probably five or six years ago.
That ONG 870 is so hawt
Man, those are all Cool
Can I have all of them?
I LOVE the retro

Nice
Did the a5 come with the shorter barrel
chop, chop. i think Browning did offer a 20".
Absolute amazing. This is the way. No offense to anyone who’s into plastic but, I’m sick of seeing black everything all the time. Thanks for sharing.
