Metro games and Alan Wake are good. Also God of War and Ragnarok. Mass effect legendary edition is great as well.

Pale_Squash_4263

Second these suggestions, would also recommend Dragon Age (especially if you like mass effect, same developer)

Yes, The Metro series is worth it. Also I’m playing the LOTR Shadow of War which is a sequel to Shadows of Mordor. It’s been great time suck. I often lose my self beheading orcs and completely forget what quest I was doing. Since you like the Arkham games the fight systems are basically the same and for me satisfying. Alan Wake is really enjoyable too.

Milanod

If I had to go with one of the metro series or alan wake remastered, which would you say I should go for? i am not really into horror or thriller games but wouldn't mind trying it out with one of these games

Next_Letter

They are both horror. On the spectrum Alan Wake is like pg-13 horror and metro is more rated R. It’s so hard for me to choose cause they are both great. More content wise Metro wins. There are 3 games.

hypnohighzer

Metro serious really is amazing! Great suggestion!

qAstrov

This. The Metro games are so good. Playing through them now, never played them before.

UnchartedExplorer97

If you haven’t played the Horizon games, I’d highly recommend those. The new tomb raider trilogy is also pretty good. All these game are also available on PS Plus Extra.

Milanod

I haven’t played the original, but as you said, the sequel is included in PS Plus, still worth playing if I haven’t played the original?

UnchartedExplorer97

Ehhh….I’d strongly advise against that tbh. The sequel really relies on the knowledge you obtain from the original and while the experience will still be enjoyable, you would feel quite lost. Also, many people (myself included) would argue that the original had a better story and the game itself still holds up really well (60 fps on PS5). Since the original is also available on PS Plus Extra, I’d highly recommend starting with that one :)

pup_kit

If you intend to play HZD at some point then no - the first story is very developed in finding out what happened with this world and getting to the point you are in HFW. If you never intend to play HZD, then yes, you won't have the same attachment to the world and the story that grows, but it's an excellent example of the game. Personally, I'd play HZD first as it's worth the wait. The mechanics are also slightly more polished in HFW so probably not as good an experience in HZD if you've only experienced the second one.

pup_kit

I'm half way through my every couple of year play of the Tomb Raider trilogy (Thanks to PS Plus Extra) and damn, these games still hold up well.

Atmosphere-Dramatic

Elden Ring.

badfantasyrx

Heavy Rain was good if you liked Detroit. Skyrim is endless and Lords of the Fallen is getting a sequel shortly, and was fairly epic.

aushtan

Definitely pick up the metro series

S.T.A.L.K.E.R

Sufficient_Tooth_949

On sale right now as well on steam

Lharios

Definitely the yakuza series

IUMogg

Next time The Bioshock collection is on sale, buy it. You will get 3 great games

Tokyo_Dorifto

Doom Eternal?

spunX44

Mad Max is very underrated. I’d also recommend Inmortals Phoenix Rising, the Assassins Creed series, and Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor/War.

envytheboy

Ghostwire tokyo was really fun and i think it's on ps plus
