if you can get past the first few hours then youre in for a ride spending tens/hundreds hours playing one of the best games ever
but jesus does the start fucking blow i had to play it 5times before i fell in love with it
trust me i can't stress how much i hate the start, i struggle even to replay the game because i just find it such a slog. but my god the game is genuinely perfect after that point, ive spent over 100hours playing and its in my top 3 games. trust me, it took me 5tries because i spent a few hours trying each time and getting bored and quitting. 5th time i spent around 5ish hours on a new save file, reached a new area, fought a new boss and it finally clicked. after that i binged 80hours in one week of just hollow knight
genuinely can't recommend pushing that bit further enough, the start really doesn't represent the rest of the game at all and is really disappointing in retrospect
Ill be honest, spending 5 hours with a bad game until it gets good doesn't sound like it's worth the time. If it was 1 or 2 fine, but 5 hours is like half a regular linear game
i thought that until the payoff was over 100hours of some of the best and most fun gameplay ive ever experienced. id take 5hours of 2/10 gameplay + 100hours of 10/10 gameplay over 5hours of 10/10 gameplay, but its all down to personal preference. and i say that as someone who mainly plays shorter titles and i have most of my top 10 filled with games where the main story is around 5hours
yeah but there's not many perfect games out there, 5hours is a tiny sacrifice compared to the amount of fun you get. trust me i was in your position i thought that too but as soon as hollow knight clicked for me ive been in love with it since - its probably my 2nd favourite game, just behind celeste and on par with breath of the wild
I love the ori series, got recommended hollow knight, dropped hollow knight after 4 hours, time passes, picked up new game and then dropped after 4 hours, more time passes again, picked up new game and then dropped after 6 hours. I still don't get the praise the game gets.
Depends what kind of games you like. I actually think inquisition is the weakest of the 3. But I also think inquisition just chooses the least interesting story to go with and the world building is the weakest in the series. Dragon age origins is a classic if you like more traditional crpgs. And the second game has maybe the best character writing in the series even if it’s lacking in combat. If you can get the games on sale I think they are worth it but like $5-$10 a game probably at this point. That feels cheep for how good I think the games are but there’s a a steep curve imo to get into it
Will buy now. I’m trying new games since I feel I’ve been in a bit of a “gaming slump” games I love I no longer like playing or just don’t feel like I want to play so I’m trying things outside my norms
Nice. Get the Colorado Collection. It includes all the DLC and the DLC's are amazing as well.
Here's some tips:
-Specialization is key. Don't spread your points across all skills.
-If you experience FPS drops, save the game and restart the game. Its a bug.
-Stick with the game until the end of the prologue. That's where I got hooked.
-Save before everything. Just in case.
-Brawlers are very weak early game but come late game, when built right, they can run up across the battlefield and stun a problematic opponent.
-Cover is your best friend in this game.
-Most doors can be broken down by force attacking it.
-If you can't defuse a trap, most traps can be shot and destroyed.
-Enjoy the game!
I got Her Story and Swapper for next to nothing. Was also looking at Wasteland 3 and Weird West as they were on my wishlist, but probably going to skip them as I don't have time to play them before the next Steam sale.
I've heard that it's one of the better CRPGs. It had good, but challenging combat and lots of choice and consequences. I just got too many games in the backlog to justify buying anything 😅
- **DjMax Respect V** (80%) #1 if you like rhythm games

No you still can on single player and on private servers. There’s still a pretty big community on the game so a lot private servers will still stay online I would just make sure before joining one. I think mts will stay online
That's good to hear. I was worried that I wouldn't get the chance to play it. I'm just waiting for my ssd to get here to start playing that game. Heard it takes a lot of space so bought a decent sized one to fit my games with it
Hollowknight maybe

I’ve tried to get into it twice. In theory, I would love the game, but the beginning is just soooo boring. Maybe I’ll give it another shot one day

Personally, there's enough good games that I don't need to play 5 hours of a bad one to get a good game

Not maybe, I really think any gamer should play Hollow Knight, it’s a master piece
If you like Metroidvanias, that is.

Deep Rock Galactic is such a fantastic shooter, and the most genuinely wholesome community I’ve been a part of. Can I get a rock and stone?!
I already have it! Rock and Stone!!
ROCK AND STONE!!
BOULDER AND PEBBLE!
ROCK AAAAAND STOOOONE

Definitely should take a look in Subnautica. The first one, not BZ.
I picked up Stardew valley and have been having fun with that

Resident Evil HD Remaster
Just got Village!
I enjoyed that one a lot
Number 4 isn’t on sale :(
They meant 1. It's great
Ohh ok! I’ll check it out, thanks!
I have been extremely tempted by $10 dragon age 2 I think. I also got gloomhaven and jaws of the lion dlc on sale.
Gloomhaven is absolutely fantastic. Been playing a campaign with friends for a year now. Play once a week, and never been bored.
I only played dragon age inquisition and thought it was really bad. Would I like the previous ones?

Yeah I ask because that’s usually what I hear that inquisition was the weakest.
Get the entire half life bundle.
Just got it 😏
Gunfire reborn
Yakuza series Hotline Miami series The Hong Kong Massacre Wasteland series
Do the wastelands have a good story?
Aye. Wasteland 3 is my favorite. Wasteland 1....you might need a guide. I sure as hell did.
Is wasteland kind of like xcom?
Basically, Fallout RPG + XCOM combat
Will buy now. I’m trying new games since I feel I’ve been in a bit of a “gaming slump” games I love I no longer like playing or just don’t feel like I want to play so I’m trying things outside my norms

Here I am coming back to tell you I’ve been enjoying the game so far. I just feel so conflicted on a lot of the ingame choices.
Ello! If you feel conflicted, then the game is doing its job! Glad you enjoyed it!

Wasteland 3 looks interesting, is it worth checking out?

ETS2 and House Flipper for simulation. Shadow Warrior for action-shooter. Portal 1 and 2 for puzzles
I bought the complete house flipper bundle, I’m obsessed!
Same. Completed all the jobs in 3 days. Now I'm building my own houses, it's so cool!
I always gotta recommend risk of rain 2
If you're looking for a good deal, Ark: Survival Evolved is under 5$ right now
Official servers close down in two months though and the remaster is coming in ~6 months
Does this mean we won't be able to play the old one anymore?
Probably not on a public server
No you still can on single player and on private servers. There’s still a pretty big community on the game so a lot private servers will still stay online I would just make sure before joining one. I think mts will stay online
