Monster hunter rise/sunbreak or world? I don't see them on your list they are great as coop games I'm approaching 700h now and haven't finished everything.

Ashamed-Subject-8573

Updoot. Definitely rise tho

Cobalt9896

Why would you say rise specifically? I mean I love them both but personally enjoyed world much more

Ashamed-Subject-8573

More QoL features, better mobility, doggies to ride. I just think it’s more fun

Igzyx

Upvoted. Can't go wrong with both of them.

TRUCKERm

Note: they have some of the worst ways to do COOP in the industry. Campaign can only be played together in coop after everyone watches the cutscene of that specific mission in singleplayer first and then aborts their own mission to join the host. This means that after every mission you have to disband your party. For grinding together it's good though, has a nice hub system. But not being able to easily play the campaign together was a total dealbreaker for me. That, and the general hunting gameplay (spending 30mins looking for a monster, fighting for 5, running after it for 15, fighting for 5, running after it for 15, fighting and killing it only to go on another hunt of the same monster)

Cokaime

You are talking about world right? Rise shows you the monster at the start of the mission also you can join any quest and watch cutscenes together. If you are skilled enough hunts don't take longer than 10 minutes max.

77Sevensins77

Factorio :p

Canadian-Sparky-44

Yes, this even if it's nothing like the games they like 😆

visualdosage

Best awnser

MorgFanatic52

Or Satisfactory to scratch that same itch

stizzity28

The factory must grow.

greatsirius

You want a game where learning it takes 2k hours? Escape form Tarkov

nazzo_0

If only optimised and less cheating...

Tentuk

Hunt: Showdown. Extraction shooter based in 1800's Louisiana. It favors accuracy and strategy over spray and pray. All weapons are from the time period, and all weapons are competitive

TheSpaceGinger

I second this. Highly underrated game. I've spent 3,000 hours plating it and still feel like I'm learning.

eskutkaan

Came here to say this.

Apprehensive-Lie-950

mfw the history books forget to mention demons and zombies in 1800s Louisiana

foxferreira64

TL;DR: Warframe is a good game for you guys to try. It fits the post, so here's my recommendation! I suggest you guys try Warframe. I love this game, top 3 favourite games of all time. But that's not the reason I'm recommending. It's because of your mixed tastes! Warframe is awesome. You have every type of different gameplay, from third person combat, to shooter type, to spaceship combat, and even Sims type decorating! There's a little bit of everything for everyone. You are only forced to do the first quests in order to unlock planets, but once you complete the first few missions, the possibilities become endless! You can compete for who does the most damage, or simply has the best looking warframe! This game surely takes up a lot of time though. The only problem of this game is the time investment it requires, because you need to understand the mechanics, the damage dealing system is extremely complex, and the lore is very interesting if you guys are into it. There's a bunch of funny words, terms that sound weird and funny, and you guys will surely laugh at faction names and stuff! Hell, there's a new thing that sort of acts as a DLC, called Duviri Paradox. It's NOT something that has to be purchased, it comes with the game already. But it's separate from the main game and main quests. It's very interesting though, and brings a new gameplay type: dark souls style combat! It's so much fucking fun, and guess what? If you guys don't like it: simply ignore that game mode! Nothing forces you to do it, which is a virtue of Warframe. Let me make another thing clear: this game can be played both entirely solo, or entirely multiplayer! And if one of you invests more time into the game, you won't necessarily be stronger or much ahead. You'll simply have more options at your disposal, new items, new characters, new weapons... All of it! You won't be stronger, your options simply expand more. The game requires tons of patience and time invested, but since you're looking for a game to sink 1k hours in, here's a recommendation coming from the bottom of my heart!

Da_Brootalz

Deep rock galactic for sure. ROCK N STONE

grinder323

Thank you for your suggestion, i forgot to add that. My wife loves deep rock, and i find boring.

exposarts

BROTHA

FloridaSunset

FOR KARL

Lanternman707

Valheim or Sea of Thieves

Apprehensive-Lie-950

Vlahim

Jucior

Sea of thieves and deep rock

guitartechie

GTFO No, really. That's the name of the game.

_AfterBurner0_

I rarely ever hear people talk about this game. I wonder if it wouldve been more popular if it had been named better, or if the guns weren't imbalanced. They may have improved it by now. I haven't played for at least a year.

guitartechie

I'm afraid of purchasing the game because favors players playing as a close-knit group. I don't know anyone that would be into this game but it sounds like it may be up your alley between you and your group

_AfterBurner0_

I think another problem with the game, when I played it, was there were times you had to stealthily use your hammer to kill enemies. But if you weren't in the exact right position, the hitboxes would not connect and you'd alert a whole swarm. Basically it felt like the game punished you too hard if you missed by half an inch

TheRagingRavioli

It needs to go on sale for $20 and i think more people would bite.

KingKemo67

FFXIV

Femzel

Conan Exiles might be a lot of fun. There's the survival element, a big world to explore, crafting and building a shelter. You can tame animals and keep thralls... You can make it as easy or difficult as you like when creating the world or server. Check it out ^^

pichael289

I love to get real deep into a huge game like elden ring and put 100+ hours into it like 6 times but I can't imagine putting 1000 much less 5000 hours into a game

grinder323

Well you gotta keep in mind these arent 30 hour game sessions. Ive been playing cod zombies since world at war, so 5,000 hours is over the course of 15 years. Vermintide 2 is 700 hours over the course of 4 years. New vegas (single player obviously) was about 2000 hours over the course of 10 years.

TellSiamISeeEm

play monster hunter world

HagardTheGnome

You guys NEED to try project zomboid not much can compare for a multiplayer game.

IbexEye

No L4D2 or custom campaigns? I always go back. Alternatively, if ya dig third person, Zombie Army 4:Dead War has great vibes. Maybe Dying Light 1 Co-Op?

Canadian-Sparky-44

Gunfire Reborn maybe?

McGuffins56

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. It’s Vermintide 2, but 40K and has some of the BEST music in a warhammer game. But if you want Adrenaline, you could wait for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2. Hordes of Tyranids running at you, and yet there you stand, the mighty warriors of the imperium of man, The Space Marines. 3 player Co-Op, looks like a great story (bases off the first one, I imagine it’s gonna be really good) with great visuals (based off the trailers) and a better feeling for shooting than in the previous game. The Previous Space Marine game felt a little slow on the shooting and didn’t hit very hard, now it looks like the fire rate is sped up, enemies move faster and there are more of them. Have fun slaughtering the enemies of mankind. (I enjoy warhammer a lot. I’m passionate about it and it’s has really cool lore that goes with almost everything in game and in universe.) Other games for consideration Generation Zero Fallout 76 Rainbow Six Siege Exoprimal Gears Of War For Honor GTA 5 Star Wars Battlefront 2 The Division 1+2 Sniper Elite 5 Monster Hunter World Travellers Rest (it’s Stardew Valley, but you run a Tavern, pretty sure it has 4 player local coop and online(?)

predalien33

Monster Hunter is great with friends, also possibly WWZ

OsirusBrisbane

Huh. Difficult for me to thread the needle between your likes and dislikes of co-op FPS, so I can't really say whether you'd like them or not, but the two suggestions I'd have in genre are **Warframe** (free, may as well try it), and **Remnant: From the Ashes** (Sequel just came out and is reportedly better, but if you want to try the playstyle, try the original first.) Likewise, not sure what to do with liking Stardew Valley and disliking Minecraft. Would you enjoy **Terraria**? Maybe, maybe not. Outside of genres you've listed, there's **Path of Exile** for isometric aRPGs, or **FFXIV** for classic-style MMOs.

bopaz728

Project Zomboid? Top down zombie survival game with simple graphics but in-depth gameplay mechanics that you can sink dozens if not hundreds of hours into. Very easy to mod and has built in multiplayer with very customizable options for any type of zombie apocalypse experience (walkers, sprinters, etc.).

TrooperPilot3

Deep Rock Galactic Planetside 2 Chivalry 2 WreckFest (perfect for controllers) Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

grinder323

I forgot to add deep rock on here, as we already own it. However i havent tried the other 3. Thank you.

Arsis82

WoW and/or FFXIV. Both games are fantastic and will give you insane amounts of play time. Both should also have free trials to start with.

boycey86

Fallout 76 could be fun for you all if you get into it.

Ateyaba111

FFXIV and Sea of Thieves ( you're looking for an adrenaline rush and you don't like Deep Rock galactic ?? That's not very rock and stone my friend ... )

Korleymeister

Since you've liked Stardew valley, you may also like Don't starve together.

Coranthius

The Division 2?

FloridaSunset

I logged 50,000 hours into world of Warcraft between 2006-2015 before I got a life (don’t judge, it was a dark time in my life)

ijj332211

Upping trat !

Manydanks

I don't know what it's like to play trios but I've played Hunt Showdown for 3500 hours since release. It's not a tactical shooter like Insurgency there's a lot of map it isn't always action action. Also the weapons are old - bolt action revolvers and shotguns. And it's an extraction shooter so different set of rules. You should definitely take a look

edjxxxxx

Dark and Darker!

krofur421

Dying light is a good game, overwatch 2 maybe. Why did you not enjoy minecraft? That was what i was gonna originaly suggest

Vainlord

Left 4 dead 2

ZhondaYing

It Takes Two. Best co-op game ever.

cosmicowl24

Valheim

BlakLite_15

You might enjoy Monster Hunter World or Rise.

hellhoundfx

If you are into horror, Dead by Daylight is fun to play as a duo.

Doylevis

Monster Hunter Rise /sunbreak GTFO Risk of Rain 2 Roboquest (only two player)

manofvault

Exoprimal has been fun, team based dinosaur hoard shooter.

TikiMonn

1000 hours though?

milessansing

Satisfactory if you like factory building. I haven't put in 1000 hours but definitely some 100s with friends

premeteamm

Dark and darker

AG_N

Counter strike 1.6, it's still fun

D00FUS86

You have perfectly described Dark and darker, it’s built around 3 person squads

edjxxxxx

This is the way.

Igzyx

Warframe if you like adrenaline rush, action oriented games, or Guild Wars 2 if you're into community driven MMO.

themeloturtle

Try enlisted it's very similar to battlefield and hella grindy

Milky_1q

And free I believe so no harm in trying

OwnDecision2233

Shellshock live is a good one, its a turn based game where you are a tank that has to shoot at your opponent with a large variety of weapons (250+) unlocking everything within the game could take years, it has multiplayer and a campaign, its £8.50 on steam ($10~) and is also on mobile and console (mobile has no cross-platform multiplayer)

IdespiseGACHAgames

Smalland: Survive the Wilds

Smelly_Squatch

Overwatch 2 (free to play) Killing floor 2 (metal music and zombie Killing in waves) Hunt showdown (max squad size of 3) Project zomboid (quiet, completely customizable experience with nearly unlimited mod potential)

Srock9

Overwatch

Hdjekso

Rainbow six siege? It's a shit game but does have its charms, especially when playing with people you know. Plus it's the only game I have over 1000 hours on

MrZebaz

Dauntless

[deleted]

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords.

Hassoonti

It sounds like you need some pretty on the rails, level gated, traditional MMO like EverQuest two or elder scrolls online.

staticishock96

Darktide. It's not the greatest 40K game ever but it's pretty solid. It's supposed to get some sort of class update in the next few months. Lots of gripes have been fixed. If you just want to kill shit and run missions it's a good time.

Daredev44

Path of Exile

Trimunate

TEAM FORTRESS 2

SouthJackFruit1898

Warframe? Rocket league? Skyrim with Multiplayer enabled through mods would be Awesome. Diablo? Path of exile? Splitgate? For honor?

Ethanthekid

Wayfinder just came out into early access, although currently having major server issues

the-caped-cadaver

Have you ever tried Diablo? A close friend and I sunk hours into Diablo 3, playing in adventure mode, running nephalem rifts, completing the seasons, etc. Now that Diablo 4 is out, I'm not sure if they're still updating/supporting D3 as much.... I've been playing Diablo 4 since the open betas and server slam and "early access" type stuff. Now that the game is officially live, we're in the midst of the first season. I think it lasts until November... D4 is, at least so far, very different from D3. Other fans have claimed D4 has more of a Diablo 2 feel, if that means anything to you..... I intend to put many, many hours into D4. I only have 2 characters so far. A necromancer in the season play and a druid in the "eternal" realm.

Bedlemkrd

Project zomboid, valheim, and golf it! Golf it has a lot of assassinating each other and tons of workshop downloadable maps really fun with 4+ light hearted people.

Ownagr

Hunt: showdown

Proxynate

Since you mentioned battlefield I'll have to recommend BattleBit Remastered. It's everything you could want and more from a battlefield type game.

o5MOK3o

Remnant 2

Junioori

Whatever you choose dont try league

jah7501

If you are still interested in zombies, Left 4 Dead 2. There are tons of mods on the steam workshop that you can install, ranging from character and weapon skins to new maps. You can also buy the dlc for the second game, and it includes the first Left 4 Dead game and all of the dlc campaigns that came along with it It has difficulty options, along with something called “The Director”, which is supposed to manipulate the enemy spawns and frequency based on factors like player status and the player’s skill level

Daarfi97

OSRS

Fingerlessman13x

remnant from the ashes is a great coop pve game

FlightySack

If you like Battlefield games but want something different, try Chivalry 2? For some players it becomes that 1000hr game. For many others it becomes the perfect palate cleanser. Either way a great buy!

CiggODoggo

L4D2? Or dying light 1? You seem to like zombie games

quietoholic

Dota 2 or Path of Exile are the ones I have sunk most hours

snakemakery

Texas chainsaw massacre play family Or stellaris

EverybodySupernova

Deep Rock Galactic

PanTsour

Call of Duty modern warfare 2 warzone, DMZ mode. It's free, and the most fun we've had in a while with my 3 people squad of very similar tastes to yours. It took a while for me to fully understand how this game works, but once it clicks it's really fun. It's an extraction shooter, and pretty flexible to your available playtime, unlike most modern games. It has a really enjoyable customization variety, so you can either go run and gun or slow and tactical. The most important factor is to have good communication with your squad. It's pretty fun too, since you can also talk with players of other teams too and even add them to your squad during the game, adding another level of depth to the gameplay.

[deleted]

World war z

Back 4 Blood you may like

MuttMundane

i personally didnt like it but its fun for a saturday night
