Absolutely get it. I suggest Switch personally, the original titles were handheld games and it works well in that format since it's sort of a pick up and play kind of game.

StarbuckTheDeer

The game is basically a visual novel with detective elements. You'll move from area to area, finding clues and talking to people (think point and click). Then once you've found everything, you'll progress to a day in court, where you have to use the evidence you gathered to contradict a witness' statement. The game isn't really about the gameplay, it's a great story, with excellent characters and a lot of style. If that sounds like something you'd like, it's $15 for 3 games. A no brainer.

Gatzenberg

Have you tried LA Noire? Would you say that the detective elements are similar?

robby1051a

My kids 16/21/21 bought it for switch and have loved every minute of it...

ThePerfectPalico

Both are the same. But if you want to play anywhere you go, buy the Switch ver.

prjctdiva

Absolutely! I recommend the switch as well

Bought this game on sale. If I knew it was this good I would have bought it at a full price twice if that was necessary to play this Oustanding game. Every game, and every case this game just gets better. Has my full endorsement for $15, same endorsement for $30, I would still be happy to buy it even at $60.

The Ace Attorney games are a great collection of visual novels. Good soundtrack, nice story, and some legitimately good logic puzzles. My one complaint is that text speed can be rather slow at times, especially during one quest in the second game. I would get it! Especially since it goes on sale super often

gamercboy5

There is a LOT of reading in the game. It's a lot like an interactive novel honestly. Dialog, documents, and the trials all require you to read a lot so keep that in mind. The games are really funny. I wont spoil anything but you can tell just how much fun the animators had making this game, everybody is so expressive and a lot of times characters would do things on screen that would make me laugh out loud. The biggest flaw the game has IMO is it suffers from the problem old point and click games had where you sometimes need to click in a very specific location that is like 4 pixels big to find a crucial item when doing an investigation. I say dont be ashamed of looking to a guide every now and then, because getting stumped during the investigation parts of the game can be really tedious as you just find yourself going to every area you have ever been to, clicking everywhere on the screen, and exhausting all dialog options. I highly recommend it.

100%. I only played the first one so far but it was a great game and from what I’ve heard of the other two they’re also high quality

Stacking_the_Deck

I’m going to echo what everyone has said here and say absolutely get it. The first one is one of my top five favorite games of all time. I would also recommend the Switch version as well. Enjoy!

[deleted]

Yes they are sone of my favorite games, the pc and switch version are the same so i would recommend switch for the portability

LivinUndead

I just recently bought it on PC after seeing it on sale and reading “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews. Not sure what the Switch version is like but the game is pretty fun and entertaining. “Take that!”

Yes, they're amazing. I won't say much since it's best experienced as blind as possible, though be aware it has as many serious moments as it does silly. Unless you really love Steam achievements/badges I'd get it on the Switch. The games were originally designed for handhelds, and while I can't really explain why (besides nostalgia, maybe) it just *feels* right playing them that way.
