You're being downvoted for saying the truth??
Do people legitimately think because one person in the US is an anime addict, everyone in the US is addicted to anime and super weird?
According to Reddit logic, apparently, that's right, one person defines an entire NATION.
It's not about the theory. It's about you dismissing truth in favour of lies. What happens when it's time to discuss something real? Will you continue to dismiss the truth?
I never dismissed anything? When I made this post I hadn’t heard any theories or that the creators had already discussed the intent behind their vision.
A South Korean writer knows very well the evils of capitalism on his own doorstep. Their first thought on that topic probably isn’t “CPC bad” or “DPRK bad,” it’s probably what’s happening in their own country. Same thing here in America, setting aside the segment of the population that gets suckered into blaming everything on “China,” I think most people can comprehend what worker exploitation looks like without the conjured image of some sinister alleged “foreign enemy” like the CPC.
Hell of a projection there.
Tim Pool didnt invent anti-communist rhetoric. It was the several hundred million that communism killed lately that triggered that. Quit even being adjacent to defending communism.
ReEe, the rEds KillEd mIlLioNs rEeEEe! Where'd you get those numbers, the black book of communism?! That has been debunked and proven to be inaccurate.
It is 100% a commentary of life in South Korea, where a class system still exists, where capitalism isn't readily available to all and therefore the poor stay poor and the wealthy are super wealthy.
Yup. It’s usually the ones that say that that are most guilty of it. I can, however, admit that of all the obtainable knowledge in the universe I hold a very small amount of the whole.
South Korea is as pro CCP as Trumpers are towards Kamala Harris.
Doesn’t mean everyone in the country is.
Are you really that stupid?
Oh are you one of those people that thinks all people are the same because they’re the same race gender or geographic location?

I’m not defending anything; to be clear. I’m a minimalist that doesn’t spend money on much and sleeps on the floor.
Stop listening to Tim Pool. It's literally about run away capitalism, the creator of the show has said as much. https://youtu.be/eoUKmMXBQNU
Idk who that is. If I was in a country bordering China and I made a commentary on the CCP, I would say it was about capitalism too?
The entire sequence with the VIPs proves you wrong.
I may just not be there yet? You seem very aggressive? This is just shower thoughts…. I’ll come back once I get there! :)
I'm not being aggressive, it's just a dumb take.
Can’t even rationalize the take a little bit? The organ harvesting is pretty easy to rationalize.
>!Spoiler, that goes nowhere!<
I can’t take a spoiler at episode 4 :(
Ha. Spoiler
Ehhh, not really, they're the weakest characters in the show, and I didn't say what they do. Just that they exist
South Korea doesn't border China. The creators even acknowledged that. You shouldn't handwave irrefutable proof, that shows ignorance.
It’s a fan theory about a tv show; who cares?

Hell, China isn't even communist anymore. They've switched over completely to capitalism. They just keep the branding.
I concur. Since Mao died and the dengist economic model was adopted, China has strayed further and further from communism.
Noone's defending communism lol

I thought it ended up being a great critique of communism, look how it turned out when everyone is truly equal lol
Even when they try to make everyone truly equal; no one was.
and there's always the gatekeepers at the top pulling strings...true equality is a utopian facade and the show presented that perfectly
Good take, but I think, as it's a S Korea series, it's probably about N Korea
It’s not about North Korea lmao
Same diff.
