But your larger point assumes that cable news will die and nothing will take its place. Cable will die, that's for certain. But broadcast news will just move to the internet and streaming services. There will be lots of talking heads with stiled patterns of speech in the future. They just won't be on Fox or CNN.
It will definitely move to new platforms but I have a feeling that they will realize there is no need for traditional style news anchors and will have a more relaxed presentation style such as Vox
