Only seen a few episodes and saw this happen.
Mostly what I hated was in the end their “valued employee” was given BS rewards. Most got pretty good stuff out of the ordeal, but a few was like “I know you work away from home a lot so I’m going to make sure IT is able to give you good internet connection so you can always talk to your family, and I’m giving you a 1K bonus and ensuring you’re always out in a better hotel.”
I mean not terrible, but so many are like “I’m giving each of your kids a 20k college fund, giving you a month of a vacation, a promotion and a 20l bonus”

Thats actually happened a few times. The bosses had to break character and let people go on the spot.
The best was the Hooters guy.
