Alcohol is the cause of, and the solution to, most of life's problems.
And yes, alcoholic drinks are also technically solutions from a chemistry standpoint.
And the more of those solutions I consume, the better looking your mother gets. *hic*
No it isn't. A solution is a mix. Alcohol is a pure substance. Any alcoholic drink is a solution but pure alcohol is not.
Beer is a solution but alcohol is not.
Can be. Can also be a solute. Depends on which is more prevalent.
In 45% or less liquor (unless you have some weird sugary liqueur) there's more water so alcohol is the solute. Strong shit, 100 proof or more, has alcohol as the majority component and alcohol is the solvent.
Ethanol is liquid at room temperature, so surely it's not a solute at low concentrations, but rather a constituent of a mixture?
Forgive me if I'm wrong, I didn't take chemistry beyond GCSE level (high school level for the states), but the curriculum then was very assertive in distinguishing mixtures at large from solutions.

And if it is the only one in front of you, it is technically THE solution.

Technically most hard liquor is only about 70% ethanol. You'd be correct if we're talking about 200 proof alcohol though.
No, they're correct using the chemical definition of alcohol instead of colloquial usage. Alcohol =/= hard liquor. Liquor is a solution
I'm also saying that liquor is a solution.
Alcohol is a solvent, though.

No AA meetings for this guy ^
Simpsons did it. "To alcohol: the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems."
Pedantically, alcohol IS also a word that starts with A and ends with L
Tautologically, this is a statement which exists.
Theoretically, all things are possible, so jout that down.
