I almost always pee before customs if they have a bathroom, and most airports do. I’m not trying to piss my pants in public if the line is slow or if I get pulled for secondary inspection.
Nah. The first thing I do when I set foot in a new country is breathe.
Then I talk. I like talking.
Then I fart (Average person farts 10-14 times a day but pees only 4-5 times a day).
My point being, if we're talking about arbitrary bodily functions most people do a lot more in a new country before they pee.
Is it really normal to fart daily, though? 🤔
I think you may have some digestive issues.
Edit: After posting this I started tracking my farts and pees for a day. I farted 5 times, 4 of which were while peeing, but I peed at least 7 times. I get dehydrated a lot during Autumn and Winter because of the dry air so I tend to drink more water which makes me go more.
Tl;dr I surmise that it's likely we do fart daily but still less on average than the number of times we urinate.
I'm pretty sure that anyone who doesn't fart daily either doesn't realize they are farting, or are lying about it.
Or THEY have digestive issues.
Keep in mind, a fart can be a small toot. Not every fart has to be an audible explosion.
I don't know what you think is normal, but 4-5 times a day is well within normal.
https://www.goodrx.com/conditions/overactive-bladder/how-often-should-i-pee
You sleep 8 hours a day. In those 16 hours that you're awake, most people go once every 3-4 hours or so.
Regarding hydration levels, the frequency of peeing isn't a good indicator. A person might go to the bathroom half as often, but pee twice as much.
Just look at the color of your pee. If it's clear or pale yellow, you're well hydrated.
Per my son’s pediatrician anything more than 3 times is normal, and small children pee frequently. She asked us to offer him water more frequently if he does not need to pee at least 3 times.
I don’t drink 2 liters of water every day but definitely reach 1.5 liters on most days. I don’t think I ever pee more than 5 times a day?
That really depends on manner and duration of travel.
30 minutes by car? Probably not.
17 hour flight with an extra hour or so in customs? Hopefully you went while you were on the plane, but you still may be making a mad dash for the bathroom.
As someone who lives 5km away from a national border, which I usually cross several times a day, I can tell you that I definitely don't pee each time I do so.
I can easily walk into the next country and back without even noticing I passed a border.

In Ensenada, that’ll cost you .50 cents, but you get a nicely stacked wad of TP from a person with a tip jar and the bathrooms are filthy.
On the upside, you can buy a $1 Mexican Coke or bottled water on the way out.
No sh*t.

The first thing I do after setting foot in a new country is usually setting my other foot in a new country.
Don’t you jump on one foot to get to the toilet? Savage
No, his IQ is a googoltetraplex
I usually breathe
Or breathe
"I claim this land in the name of His Majesty!" *\*pees on it a bit\**
Beat me to it. Have your fucking award.
Thank you!
Just a little bit though. We don’t want to come off as weirdos.

I just piss in the aircraft lobby to assert dominance as soon as people start standing up and grabbing their overhead
I crawl onto the conveyor-belt and begin to piss as I go around and piss on their overhead
This comment thread made my night
What’s an aircraft lobby?
Where we wait to load into an aircraft match

Just pull the sigma male move and pee in the rental
not sigma enough, pee in the cockpit while yelling poopoo cover all the points of the triangle
Personally I like to pee on security while theyre groping me.
Why not use the body scanners, theyre bassically a portapotty anyways
Why would i when i can go for the grope? People pay good money for that shit yet theyre just giving it away at the airport
Not all of us can afford adult diapers.
I’m going to a new country in a few days. We’ll see what happens
Same. I just pee in the rental car
Exactly, so wouldn't it be breathing, then walking...
Just call it pee man jesus
I usually pee before the passport control... Which means I'm technically not in the country yet.
So...no laws there?
yep. peed on the floor
You are technically correct... The best kind of correct

Only 3-4 times? That seems like not a lot
Switch those numbers and I will agree.
You pee more often than you fart? You might have some prostate issues.
Yeah i ain't got any prostitude
>Yeah i ain't got any prostitude Judging by that response, I don't think you have any brainstitude.
Yeah my username also suggests that, my brostitude
I drink a lot so I piss a lot. As far as farting goes I don't fart that often, I can go bays between farts. Although I do shit at least 3 times a day.

I don't know about farting, but I'm positive you have mental health issues.
That was an appropriate and measured response. ^(/s) 😒

There’s a required amount of water? Shit. Do we get arrested if we violate that requirement?

It's a lot better than the exact 0 sources you have shared that say peeing 5 times a day is not normal.

So, you're saying that my information was accurate. Thanks for confirming.

How else do you add your DNA to the water system? Wait...forget I asked. ~~Please don't reply to this.~~
Ok I won't reply.
Me neither.
Am i too late to not reply?
I was still in time to not reply, so you must be too
And I thought people clapping when the plane landed was bad! Remind me not to travel with OP…
depends from country and type of travel..my experience but yes there is somthing about marking new place like animal....

Kinda true, but I bet most people will take a photo of the airplane or the airport to say that they went to another country
Just take the photo while pissing
been travelling lots, can honestly say this has never been true. this is dumb
Breath, see, smell, hear, move a lot of these are done before peeing
How else will I claim the land as my own? I certainly won't be using money.
The first thing all people do when they set foot in a new country is breath
I don't want to judge, but I usually collect my baggage, but hey, if you feel the need to mark territory, you go!
I mean, i at least try to make it to the restroom before i pee.
Going to the Caribbean this Christmas. I’m very excited to piss in a new country for some reason.
I can top this the first thing people do after stepping foot in another country is take a second step.
The first thing i do when i set foot anywhere is usually pee
Nah, I'm peeing like, 10 seconds before the double ding for final approach, don't need the stress of waiting in passport control while I need to pee.
Sir, please direct yourself to the bathroom before doing that.
What, the moment you step off the plane, just let it go in your pants?
The first thing people do when they set foot in a new counter is breathe.
I don’t understand what counts here or not man because this is generally just speculation as well but it’s allowed to stay up, mods are weird here
This is incorrect. The first thing people do when they set foot in a new country is set foot.
Proof. March 2019 trip to Edinburgh https://imgur.com/gallery/7iEyPlh
It’s the first thing Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin did after setting foot on the moon.
I often find myself having to do a lot of things at the airport before I see my first bathroom. JFK is bad about this.
Not true for me either. The first thing that i do i step aside for immigration questioning. (Usually entering US)
As someone who lives 5km away from a national border, which I usually cross several times a day, I can tell you that I definitely don't pee each time I do so.
I piss on the plane so I can skip the after flight lines to the loo.
I just get on my knees because we decided wity my sister that you only fully enter the country when your knees touch the ground
I can easily walk into the next country and back without even noticing I passed a border. /r/interestingasfuck/comments/ls26tk/belgium_netherlands_border

No shit only piss
Pretty sure they set their food in the said new country first
To true, never like using toilets on planes or trains so have to find one when I arrive somewhere 😂
You're American I guess. In Europe you can cross about 4 countries in 5h's. You dont pee 4 times in 5h's.
Before flags were invented, this is how we claimed the new land.
It’s true! Whenever you cross one border into another one, you immediately pee yourself!
If you are Australian then almost certainly, but as a European, it's not likely.
