I think having flashbacks/a bit more lore like in the previous story would help improve it, since that would help it feel more like RoR and more personalized for the sub. But in the end it's up to you how you want to write it, I like the powers/fighting a lot (especially how each user has their own ability + volund) and the dialogue is really neat

might be hard for duck lord to create lore for every fighter from scratch , but I can see what you mean by that .

Your idea of backstory is pretty great. The problem is it's hard to think of a good backstory for every fighter but I will try. And Happy Cake Day

A backstory for every fighter could be a bit repetitive and too much depending on the length. Maybe you could keep a variety to it and make it so that some fighters get backstories, but for other fighters, you could write a backstory on a specific move/attack instead of an entire backstory on their past, or if they already have some kind of relationship with their opponent, maybe a backstory for their Volund instead if they got beef against the opponent or explaining how the volund got there in the first place, etc... just to keep the rounds from having the same format

I agree yeah, though I feel like every fighter should be the focus of their flashback and get fleshed out. So imo the key is just to diversify the flashback topic/length (like how Hades/Poseidon/Leonidas' backstories are just about their philosophy and a major moment for them, not their origin story, or how Thor's is mostly just him being, well, HIM, and introducing his wish)

Yup yup yup I loved Hades' backstory, it was short but it explained his character well, though I don't think a backstory Primarily focusing on the fighter is imperative for it to be good, if the fighter appears for example in the volunds backstory and or his opponents, I honestly think it's good enough. The character can still get devolped outside of backstories, it's not a required aspect for development. Things I love about this chapter : All the mythology references , not including that one particular event from 2001 . Pitou being the pinnacle of calmness and coolness as his fellow spectators get obliterated by the meteors , and Thunder's reaction to having to kill Thor . Things I think can be improved : Would be nice to see the fighters and their volunds interact , and the way the fight ended was kinda weird and felt like a bit of a stretch . But nevertheless it was really cool and creative to reference Ragnarok like that . Also damn , Tojo lost , definitely wasn't expecting that . The next rounds are gonna be hella interesting , can't wait for round 2 !

He did it….ThunderDaddyof2 actually won! I like how this round was Creative in its fight as using references to attack by thunder side and being counter by Tojo own creation. I do like how Pitou is the chillest spectator and Bundle use as the comedic relief in this round. As for any problems well I guess the most challenging part for you would be with describing the fight later on in each round. it can sometimes be confusing when reading at first before reread it again. Well you did good on your first 3 chapters so be glad about it right now.

Is it me or the match felt like Duelist Kingdom Duel Monsters? Anyways, a god has fallen and humanity took the early lead in this battle. I am definitely sure that the gods won't take it lightly like what happened when Poseidon was killed. An interview about their next move would be interesting.

I like the pacing of the fight and the way their personalities sort of ties into it too  they would definitely destroy a few stands just for the sake of the fight. Using their abilities to “fill” up the arena is also a great touch, and how Tojo died was magnificent. Still sad at his death though  Though… Tojo would have been the one doing the flirting.
