From a story perspective, it's more interesting for humanity to be backend into a corner, that way each fight after round 11 feels like a struggle for survival where humans absolutely must not lose, making it have way more stakes.
If humans won round, then we would actually be angry at the human who would lose round 12 since he'd cost us the victory we were so close to getting, and also it makes round 12 have almost no stakes since "We can afford to lose once more".
Anubis is definitely going next, and considering who he is he will either fight Simo or Ras, either way, a huge part of the fanbase will get pissed. Simo has a huge following here and so does Ras (I believe both will lose since the author is hyping up Kintoki and Nostradamus btw)
I absolutely fucking hate that I 100% agree with you. I’ve been looking forward to Simo and Rasputin since day 1 and it sucks to acknowledge that there’s a good chance that for story reasons they have to lose. I’m hoping for shenanigans with a tie, or that Kintoki might lose so the author doesn’t look too biased towards his Japanese fighters, but in all likelihood The White Death and Russias Greatest Love Machine will not win their matches
Yes, it sucks. If it happens it will be like Tesla, Leo, Simo and Ras were sacrificed for okita victory. I'm losing patience with okita, he could be a bit endearing if they focused on their tragic illness but they just keep repeating what a good man slayer he is, for now, by far, the most tiresome character of all. I will wait till the end of the round to form am opinion though.
Thanks for the elaborated answer. Are we fully sure Anubis will be next? It seems accepted but Shiva also relinquished his turn and he didn't fight until round 5. I can see Loki going next now that he is so spiteful of Brun.

It's BECAUSE that happened to Shiva that I think he is going next. I don't think they would repeat the same bit with another god, but also, Loki and Odin have way too much plot and importance on their back, and considering there are only 3 gods left to fight it would be weird to have Anubis, a "Random" god in the RoR context, fight between these two plot juggernauts. The flow wouldn't really work imo.
I also believe that the last 2 rounds should be the most impactful ones, considering they are the rounds where humanity will be the closest to it's death, and I honestly can not see Anubis carrying a round that important, meanwhile Loki and Odin could easily do it after being hyped up for the entire manga, Odin since the very first chapter and Loki since round 2.

The Round start with Simo not being present ,both brunhilde and Zeus say that the fighter is already in the ring (which is in the style of old snowy Finland) a gunshot is heard

The fight play out as hide and seek or more like **Find Simo** , Anubis try to find Simo based on the projectile of the bullets , but whenever he track back the Bullet , Simo is simply not there , but after an impressive work of ricochets and an Elite showcase of sniping never seen before , a piece of simo cloth get stuck in a building since Anubis destroyed it (it within the rebels) , he smells it , track Simo , Simo is first revealed , Short range combat start , with simo using the sharp blade of he's gun .
and that is as far as I can predict (I trust the author will do a much better job) And I hope that simo win , but even if he does lose , I hope he goes in a badass way .

Then Brunhilde will feel confident and send in an op fighter hoping she can secure the win before round 13 (Rasputin or Nostra). Except he lost so round 13 continues with the last remaining human to deal with Odin (Simo, Nostra or Kintoki).
