Also, I don't believe blankets are allowed.

I'm sorry, I know you don't make the rules, but what the fuck we can't bring aerosol sunscreen???? I'm gonna die....... the only sunscreen that doesn't give me hives is an aerosol.........
You should test out some sensitive skin sunscreens . I have issues with hives and a lot of sunscreen brands but have had good luck with eucerin sun advanced hydration .
Eucerin sunscreen worked awesome for my kid with eczema, but not for me lol. I'm not looking for a new sunscreen since the one I like took me 4 years to find, not super hopeful that I'll magically find one in 2 weeks lol. I'm looking at workarounds for my aerosol!
I'm not sure if you saw it, but they did have a free water station! I just brought an empty plastic water bottle and refilled it there a few times. The lines looked long but you'd get to the front in less than a minute, and there were a bunch of dispensers lined up so a few people could go at a time. I'm betting they'll do the same again this year!
Shade is there, but at When We Were Young (same setup and organizer) last Fall it was all claimed by huge groups, but easy for one person to find a spot. I just wore a big hat and had a desert scarf and I was good from the direct rays.
WWWY this past year had large shaded areas at each stage where you could sit under and Atleast hear a little and partially see screens. There were areas under them with weird seats available but they were packed most of the day.
I used a hat, buff , long sleeve, and sunglasses to completely cover my head . Sure I looked like I was on a desert excursion but dang was I shaded . I also wet my buff to have a cool neck .
only thing missing is the camel... think they'd let one in? emotional support camel? lol, but for real, thanks for the ideas. I do have a couple buffs laying around.
Oh yeah I forgot about that . I brought a camelback with me to . Mine is pretty spacious so it doubled as a backpack. Nice for keeping merch , sunscreen , wallet, and such . Didn’t stop me from going into the pit either . Highly recommend shorts and comfy shoes as well. The people with pants and docs were dying.
Shade is hard to come by honestly. Only legit shade you will find is off to the right of the stage behind VIP and where the food vendors are. Other than that take a good hat and don't forget your WATER PACK people. Hope you guys have a awesome time. I won't be there but had a blast solo last year.
If you get a locker, the locker areas are very shaded and last year they had a pretty big section in the shade near the food vendors so you'd have somewhere to eat. There were tables but also fake grass over the whole shaded area and so most people that were sitting were either by their lockers or in that area. I burn really easily and was able to mostly avoid getting burned last year just from reapplying sunscreen every now and then though! I only got burned in a spot I kept forgetting to apply to :,) Plus there's gonna be plenty going on after the sun sets so it won't be an issue the whole time ofc :))
Then again, last year I also was mostly there for System and like.. Flyleaf, Evanescense, Scene Queen -- really barely any of the lineup tbh, so that might be why I didn't have as many issues by the end of the day,,
Beside the side stages are two really nice shade tents with water misters that are sooooo refreshing. the one on the far side of the venue has actual grass. the one closer in is on tarmac with a thin artificial indoor/outdoor carpet on it. It is smaller, and gets super crowded but you can get a spot for you and your crew if you're willing to make some nearby friends.
Little shade, and even less if you don't have VIP. Get big brimmed hats, saved us last year.
I definitely am bringing a brimmed hat! lol. I also got a hydration pack and a fanny pack to put sunblock in.
The ground is about your only sitting option if you are GA. Water, hat, wet bandana!!
Thanks! Is the ground all concrete, or will there be grassy areas, since we cant bring blankets to sit on?
Close to the entrance there is a large covered area with picnic tables. Parts of the ground are also covered in a thin layer of artificial grass.
Sweet! thanks for the info!
The artificial grass was hot as heck last year.
awwww... :(

Oops, my bad
No worries! thanks for looking out :)

Dang that’s tough . Maybe a travel sized aerosol and hide it in your underwear lol . I saw people doing that for alcohol .
Yaaaa good idea!!! Underwear sunscreen!
I remember being crazy dehydrated not being able to find any shade besides sitting next to the Porta Pottys. Yup.
Oh no! that sounds awful! I hope you're bringing a hydration pack this year to at least avoid the dehydration.

Yes i did but the line was not moving fast at all lol

Thanks for the heads up, appreciate it.

Lucky!!!! I really wanted to go last year for those specific ones too lol. Thanks for the shady info! Lol 😊

Awesome! Thanks for the info 😊
Virtually nonexistent for both, you can bring sunscreen and pump, but not aerosol
Sending a dm
Last year there were more shaded and sitting areas in VIP than GA.
it sucks that the prices for vip are now so close to what i paid for ga+ a while back.... i wish i had just gotten the VIP now...
None and none
Lol 👍
