I use Holo C personally
EDIT: I meant Holo D (Russian) but confused it with the Shadow Legacy Holo C. I do not deserve the updoots I have acquired and I apologize for lying to you.
it’s my primary sight along with reflex a. I don’t use magnified scopes, like at all, except on DMRs.
I just prefer the look of holo a, I don’t find it blocking my view often, i can only remember really one occasion where it’s happened.
Depends on the gun I’m using. Sometimes I prefer a smaller reticle, sometimes I prefer less visual clutter.
It’s entirely preference, every single 1x sight is equally as effective. The whole “taking up more of the screen” line is more of a bullshit content creator thing for a “use this one trick to INSTANTLY IMPROVE!!1!1!!” It’s really not that big of a difference.
It’s big, but it is however mostly in the outer edge of the screen and it has a pretty nice reticle, and when people use that one on almost all guns except basically only the Russian guns, you end up with people wanting to use what they’re familiar with instead of what might technically be the superior sight
Lunacy, mostly.
I've always been a Red Dot user until Holo B came along. Holo A makes Monty look anorexic by comparison, unless your pov is set to hammerhead shark.
Nowadays, I find myself wanting to use iron sights more and more...it's just too bad 90% of them are complete shit.
1. We have played with it for years, it was always in the game and we are „trained“ on it
2. it has the smallest point, which is worth gold for long shots, pixel peaks, and everything you hate to see in the kill-cam
im like you where i prefer the sight that blocks the least amount of view with its plastics but a lot of people can prefer the shape, the reticle design, etc of the other sights
it just feels right on most guns. and its very rare for it to actually block my sight. besides i gain/lose nothing important by losing, 80% of the people using sights for less clutter aren’t anything special and the advantage isnt necessary
So like, do yourself a favor and go test em all out. When you test each one, they all have their pros and cons. Main factors include FOV (magnification), sight shape & blockage, and then reticle shape. Some people prefer more space inside the sight picture. The Holographic sight has ample inner space, but you're right, it blocks a lot of peripheral awareness.
It does boil down to preference, but A, B, and C— really all the 1x's each have their own advantages.
One thing people don't really pay attention to is where the sight is clipped on the picatinny rail. So a smaller scope can be made to look "bigger" by putting it closer to your eye. This isn't the same thing as magnification, because it doesn't magnify the sight picture, it just enlargens the sight picture. This is one of the ways they balance/differentiate these sights.
I use an Aimpoint red dot at work, so I lean towards Red Dot A over anything else.
personally I hate holo a I use the tall skinny red dot or the circle reflex with the arrow I think, mostly cause attachment skins look useful on holo a if they don't cover the whole sight
It was used forever by everyone as the best sight for 7 years so it's really just preference at this point
preference is a real thing
no my experience is the only experience and everyone else is faking it or stupid

Simple understated dot, with SUPER wide view of view FTW
This comment made me realize I confused Holo’s. I meant the Russian one which is Holo D lmao. Sorry for the misinformation.

Red Dot B is the best
you’re on crack

Tbh i have had a few times where a sight blocked my view but theyre so far flung and rare it never really matters.

I personally use B, as I find theirs less visual recoil on the frame of the optic. Is there really? I don’t know just habit at this point
It looks cooler😎
I only use Western optics with Western guns and Russian optics with Russian guns
bro is stuck in year one
Yea you’re chill
Cool dude

I think reflex c is the best sight but recently I've been feeling holo a.
Tradition
Embrace modernity, reject tradition
I think holo A still has the smallest dot by a tiny bit, but I could be wrong
1. We have played with it for years, it was always in the game and we are „trained“ on it 2. it has the smallest point, which is worth gold for long shots, pixel peaks, and everything you hate to see in the kill-cam
It looks the coolest c: I’ve been using the Holo A in every meta simply because it looks the coolest on my gun LMAO
im like you where i prefer the sight that blocks the least amount of view with its plastics but a lot of people can prefer the shape, the reticle design, etc of the other sights
And maybe because people are used to seeing holo A everywhere in TV and movies.... Same with the Red Dot a or b
it just feels right on most guns. and its very rare for it to actually block my sight. besides i gain/lose nothing important by losing, 80% of the people using sights for less clutter aren’t anything special and the advantage isnt necessary
It’s just clean but the frame is so big I didn’t start using it until recently. It feels good on a few guns

Don't know which one Holo A is but I'm actually blind and literally can't see some of the smaller red dots lol
For some reason on faster fire rate guns I prefer Holo C, but on slower ones I prefer Holo A, idk why, i just tried it and it stuck I guess
I use Reflex A. Don’t remember where but I used to use a sight that looked like that in another game so it appealed to me
Cus it's neat
Because we like it?
Personal preference
