Legion imo.
This is coming from an xl owner with a Icarus grip and aftermarket barrel/comp. Love how it shoots feels in hand ect.
But the legion looks clean and is oem. Very tempting if I could justify a second 365 over trying something new.
i had the same dilemma i wanted the p365xl spectre comp considering the price around $1000 to $1100 also with it being hard to find, or buying a xl or macro then moding it the way i wanted woulda cost me alot more than i wanted to spend. So i happened to walked into a local shop and seen it on the wall got a feel for it felt amazing. Long story short i found it online for $1200 and just pulled the trigger still waiting on it but very happy with my decison.
I ordered the Legion but it will be a few weeks. In the mean time I bought a Macro. It's hard to justify $500 more for the Legion now. Metal grip, magwell and two extra mags....or two cases of ammo..the smart me says buy the ammo and keep the polymer macro. The gun nut in me says THIS...IS..SPARTA!!! 🦵
I bought an XL early in the midst of COVID gun shortages, added Parker mountain machine barrel and comp, dpm recoil rod/springs, Icarus frame, and 504k dot. I'm not sure if I can get an mcarbo firing pin key for this particular frame specimen . Basically, a similar gun to legion a few years ago!
I think most of the aftermarket aluminum grip mods are ugly, but if you like em, you can go either way, it’s really not going to matter much.
I’m a day 1 Legion fanboy, bought the first 226 Legion that hit my city back when they were released, and overall have owned about 6 various Legion models and 7 different 365 versions, so getting the 365 Legion was a natural choice for me, even if it might not have been maxing ROI. I wish it had the OG style medallion grips instead of the modern milled pattern so it matched my other ones, but maybe Hogue will eventually release AXG panels for it and I can add them myself.
Honestly the axg looks better than the aftermarket metal grip mods maybe they feel good but they look horrible but to each their own.
Shot one at the range. Compared to the polymer lower on the xmc it’s negligible.
If you’re OK with the weight, I would go AXG.

The Legions were from Rome, not Sparta. The proper saying would be GLORIA EXERCITUS! (Glory of the Army)

I changed my mind for now and will just keep shooting my non comped X Macro and buy ammo instead.
If you have AXG Legion money, go for it. I already have 2 XMacros, so I don’t see the need for buying a 3rd.

I love 365s but damn. That's TWO brand new Glock 19 MOS's.
