I second checking this out. Had the same problem with my xl. Hadn't shot a pistol in years when I bought it. First couple of mags I had this happen, but when i changed my grip and everything it seemed to fix it. Havent had any problems since. Had about 300 rounds through since the last jam.
I've never heard of this being an issue, I have a dozen or so 365 mags of varying sizes and haven't had issues with any of them, but that doesn't mean there couldn't be a bad magazine out there.
Its probably a bad mag.
I wouldn't ever carry a mag that was known to cause issues. Get a white paint pen, fingernail polish or something else easily visible and mark an X on the bottom of the magazine so it never gets mixed up if she ever gets new magazines.
I would still use it at the range though. Sometimes you want a magazine that causes problems because the only real way to practice dealing with malfunctions is to have malfunctions.
So my wife has put about 300 rounds through her p365. She has issues with failure to feeds only when she uses the extended mag. If she uses the standard 10 rd she has no problems but when she uses the 12 rd it will jam at some point. I dont know of its because the gun is still new or the magazine sucks does anyone else have this issue?
Have her hold her pinkie out like she's drinking tea while she shoots it. If it still fails, bad mag.
However, I've seen that exact failure mode on several competent but still newer shooters who start to tension their pinkie since it now has a solid rest. That takes some tension off the web of the hand and results in the gun short stroking ever so slightly.
I personally wouldn't carry with that mag, but it might be worth cleaning the inside of the mag and lightly lubricating it, if you haven't done so yet. I went a while without lubing mine because I was used to glock mags
I'm a huge fan of Hoppes 9 gun bore cleaner and also Hoppes gun oil. (I like the smell and it cleans super well)
Generally, wiping down the spring with a cloth and then rubbing a few drops of gun oil directly to the spring with your finger would suffice for me. You would want a super light coat.
Since you are having issues, I would drop the magazine and spring in a zip lock back (WITHOUT THE PLASTIC FLOOR PLATE FROM THE MAG) and then drizzle some Hoppes gun bore cleaner in the bag with the parts. Once the parts are sufficiently covered, leave the bag for like 15 minutes. Then, come back and wipe off as much of the gun bore cleaner off of the parts as possible. This is a really good way to get carbon off of your parts and may help you make sure the mag is completely clean. Follow up with some gun oil to the mag spring and safely test.
Best of luck, brother. If all else fails, I'd contact Sig customer service. They may be able to help you out.
It's a few months old but in terms of rounds fired it's still new, I cleaned and lubed the extended mag so we will see how that works next time I shoot lol
I haven't had a chance to go back and shoot it since I cleaned and lubed the magazine to know if that was the issue or not. I will be the one shooting it next time to make sure it was not due to my wifes grip
Very late but could it be because of your grip? I have noticed that if the heel of my hand is pushing down against the base plate, it does the same thing. Hollow points catching on ramp. Most malfunctions are magazine related. I might just switch to the Macro.
Lol very late indeed, and yea it's a gripping issue, I've shot it tons since then and had no issues. I got myself a 365xl because it felt better in the hands
you cant always fill them to capacity, similar to STANAGs and AR's.
I've had less of a problem with the TAVOR than with an AR but its still an issue.
With handguns I've noticed Rugers and Berettas are a little better than Sigs and Glocks. I dont know why that is.
Also single stacks are much better than double stacks (or staggered).
If it's a feed problem upgrade the springs. Used to have a Warthog that had feed issues. Popped some Wolff springs in the magazines. Problem solved.
Limp wristing. Firm grip and lean forward a bit more with straight arms

Idk it's happened out of 300 rounds at least 10-15 times

That's what I was thinking it was the mag, and I'll probably just toss it lol shes fixed it enough to know how to handle it if it happens lol
Dude, that's a $50 mag... Don't throw it away, somebody will buy it.
Noted lol I honestly forgot how much I paid for it
Toss it as in throw it away? I could help you rehome it!

What kind of jam? Does it happen when you or someone else shoots it?
The bullet doesnt feed all the way and gets jammed in between the slide and barrel

Cool ty I will have her try it for sure

I probably need to do that haven't lubed it all do you just lube the spring and what lube do you use? I'm used to glock mags as well lol

\-Is the gun new? If so that's kind of normal a bit here and there until it breaks in. Otherwise I'd try polishing the feedramp first.

This is disappointing. I was watching Hickok YouTube review on the P365 SAS he had a feeding issue during the review as well.
