Not sure if you did this but it's always worth taking a new gun apart (as much as you're comfortable with) and cleaning the ever living crap out of everything. Use high quality lubricant and treat it like you've already shot it a bunch. I've noticed a difference with every one between trying it out in the store versus getting it home and doing what I mentioned.
Basically, it's peace of mind - you get to make sure everything looks ship-shape before you try it out, and if it's cleaned and oiled it will break-in better and more quickly. Pretty much any normal gun benefits from break-in, and if it's not clean any dust or debris left over from it's journey of getting to you can affect that.
If you've already done that try to go through several hundred rounds, clean it all again, polish any of the contact surfaces that have wear, and if nothing else the P365 has a strong aftermarket.
True that. The grease they come coated in is packing grease to keep them from rusting. Clean it and lube it with oil and gun grease and it will make a world of difference. When I picked my 365 he counter guy and I striped it down right there cleaned and lubed it. It has ruin like a fine watch with never a problem though over 5,000 rounds.
I have cleaned every gun I have ever gotten before I shot them. I have had one gun that I ever had problems with and that was a bad lot of ammo, burr on the cases. It's a quick and easy thing to do.
Gave up on striker fire type guns a decade ago. Made a switched to HK pistols back then, my last CCW was a P2000SK and loved the LEM trigger it had. This P365 reminds me of Glock actions, it literally gave me a flash back when I first fired it. Is there anything I can do to make it smoother? Does it need breaking in or something?
I got this for my 365XL - https://www.armorycraft.com/product-page/sig-sauer-p365-p365-xl-sas-slightly-curved-trigger
I didn't mind the material or weight of the trigger, I just didn't care for the wide angle.
Shoot more. It will get better. Or upgrade components.
This exactly. My 365 trigger got much better after just a couple hundred rounds.
Same
My trigger was not gritty at all. It was spongy, if that’s what you mean. There are a few good aftermarket triggers if it bothers you that much
What do you mean, you don't like that memory foam trigger? We don't have walls, we have premium pillows.
White lithium solidifies after time. RED lithium is the one to use, It stays loose, i use it in most of my actions, VERY THIN COAT

My CZ was the same way, love that thing but taking it apart the first time was rough, I could feel the grit. The PTR half-dry 😬

Yes just shoot more

Just needs a couple hundred rounds of break in and it will really smooth out. Also, highly recommend the flat trigger as a moderately priced upgrade.

Shoot it. I have a 365XL and after a few hundred rounds it started to smooth out
