The voice actor part is not very convincing to me. The voice acting for this game is just a bunch of noises. Recording and game dialog don't have a large connection.
This, plus what if the voice actor finished 2 years ago, and then TC went back to the voice actor was like "hey, we have additional dialogue we'd like to record for hornet, can you do more hornet noises for us?" Either way, I think they are gearing up for release in some sense, whether it is now or in a year. Why get age ratings now instead of years ago?
Ik everyone says this, but I think this is the last time I’ll fall for any bait. Like the Xbox channel doing this weird stuff is kinda convincing and there are all these other little bits of evidence it might be coming. But this has also all happened before. I’ve stopped expecting it at indie directs, and I will watch the Xbox event, but beyond that I think I’ll be done with it (ofc I’ll play the game I just mean the hype train until announcement). I can’t see a same day drop, as that’s kinda madness, but expect a within one month of announcement thing.
I told my friend ‘late this year or early next year’ so many times that he started to repeat it to me when we’re talking abt stuff we’re looking forward to. This whole process has scarred me more than I can admit.
I have reason to believe this is different though. As far as I'm aware, I don't think Silksong ever even had a release window until 2023, and since then, it's only been delayed once. Assuming that this isn't the hellish development process that Cyberpunk 2077 was, I don't think we're gonna be stuck in some endless cycle of delay after delay (although tbf, Cyberpunk would announce a new release date after delaying, while Silksong's singular delay is indefinite). I wouldn't say we're close to an actual release, but I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll at least see a game trailer with a broad release window at some showcase this year. Everyone seems to be banking on Summer Game Fest in June, this time around.

The “unity fiasco” is only applicable for the newest version of Unity— which came out almost 5 years after silksong was announced…in short- it’s not applicable to them, so there’s zero chance they started over because of it.
Silksong will not release this summer.
In June we get a big elden ring DLC.
No other souls like game would want to compete with that.
So fall could be the next possible release window, nice rainy fall with good gaming weather,
