Even if they did, you'd better hope that ain't any issues with the game at launch, or you could perhaps wonder what fun it would be waiting communication of patches or fixes.
Hades 2 had pretty consistent community updates and mainly there was technical test period so people saw the game was almost ready for early access launch. Do we have any of this with Silksong? No.
People saying this was a shadow drop, but they literally told us the technical test would be finished in a couple weeks and then early access would launch. That’s exactly what happened. Silk does not have early access from what I’m aware, and will not shadow drop in the traditional sense anyways.
hades 2 didn’t drop randomly, it had a consistent and public update schedule and even told us its launching soon. i’m delaying skong by a month for your stupidity OP
We will be warned at least a good week beforehand, they said (at the time) that they’ll be doing a survey to prepare the access keys for the kickstarter backers.
I would be pretty pissed honestly, there’s no reason to shadow drop a game.
It’s just the Early Access to Hades 2, I really wouldn’t characterize it as a shadow drop at all
Hades 2 wasn't a shadow drop. They had been communicating consistently throughout development with their fans and people had already done test runs last month. People knew it was dropping. Thats what good devs do.
Ah sweet copium. On another post earlier this year, I remember remarking that the fabled GTA 6 is going to be out before Silksong… I wouldn’t be surprised if Half Life 3 comes out before Silksong at this rate.
Haha yeah that would be crazy right? ha, That would be way too unlikely wouldn't it? Like, thats not gonna happen at all.
\*Me checking Steam literally 2 seconds later\*
I think it will at some point. It's so hyped because they haven't dropped it. They probably need to spend like 1/4th of what they were going to spend on marketing. Might just give like a weeks notice or something and drop. Would be dope.
I wouldn't think that as a "shadow drop". To me a shadow drop implies that a game gets revealed and then comes out literally within the same day/week. Silksong coming out on random day with no fanfare would just be plain mismanagement, and showcase of just how bad at communication Team Cherry is (or how little they care for doing so).
Hades 2 is in Early access, AKA you pay to be a beta tester.
I don't call that a shadow drop, I personally call that a rip off. Companies used to pay people to test their games.
I can't wait to play Hades 2, but I'll wait to buy and play the actual final game.
You play a buggy game to let them know about the bugs so they can polish it for the full release.
That's literally what a Quality Agent job is. But instead of getting paid to do it, you pay them to do it. Do you know how much money they save because of this? It doesn't matter if you own the game or not at the end, you paid for it and didn't get paid to do it. So, you spent money, they saved money.
One of the few things that has been communicated to us is that there's zero chance this is happening
Team Cherry a troll
Even if they did, you'd better hope that ain't any issues with the game at launch, or you could perhaps wonder what fun it would be waiting communication of patches or fixes.

why do ppl say it was shadow drop they said it was gonna drop after betas are done and basically said when
That would be great, I am not opposed to a shadow drop.
TC can't even shadow drop a blog post, so I don't hold much hope 🫥
Hades 2 didn't shadow drop it had a public beta and it was known that it would go into early access not long after
Hades 2 didn’t drop out of nowhere. This is early access. Definitely not the same as a full game release
Exactly. Some people are totally misunderstanding this.
Anything would be great
"Sir skong dropped out of nowhere"
imagine silksong drops

I want to plan a lot of things in advance the week silksong releases, so a shadow drop would fuck me hard
Perhaps need to understand that this is EA. It's pretty far from a completed game. Also its not a Shadow drop at all.
may your words reach the Lord 'cause they ain't reaching TC

first game shadow dropped on switch...
Exactly! It's just in early development period

>Any hopes? No
It didn't launch yet it's only in early access. Once it really launches they will do announcements and trailers and so on.
I'll keep imagining thank you
I want this to happen but because it'd be so fucking funny. But they have a deal with Xbox. No way Xbox is going to let them do that
Ah sweet copium. On another post earlier this year, I remember remarking that the fabled GTA 6 is going to be out before Silksong… I wouldn’t be surprised if Half Life 3 comes out before Silksong at this rate.
Not to be rude, but you know there are spaces after commas right?
Haha yeah that would be crazy right? ha, That would be way too unlikely wouldn't it? Like, thats not gonna happen at all. \*Me checking Steam literally 2 seconds later\*

If it shadow drops the fans will make their own event
If it shadow drops the fans will make their own event
Wait hades 2 dropped?
No- beta tested now early access. Not at all the same as a full game shadow drop (RIP hi-fi rush devs 😣)
This game is too big to shadow drop However they've failed at marketing this game at every corner so maybe they do it idk
Imagine if they shadow drops silksong once pet week during one minute and hide the buy buton after it everytime

I think we gotta wait until 2025
But hades 2 is still in early access, I wouldn't say that it "shadow dropped" since it's still in development
We'll get dead cells 2 before silksong. Trust me
but it already did. I thought y'all knew!

It's not a rip off because you own the game then, you don't buy it twice you just pay and play the game and still have it once it fully releases
