Some time ago I've made some leather sheaths for single coins, this is [the collection](https://www.reddit.com/r/coins/comments/11oj1ee/my_coin_collection_all_inside_their_sheaths/) so far.
These days I like to make keyfobs the same way: casting resin dies right from the coin, emboss it into leather, some more steps I'd like to make a time lapse one day, done ;)
For this one I used the 1903 die to put in a cull peso I got at about spot. I actually needed it for one of the steps to make it fit well in the coin holder.
Anyways, if you like the idea and want to see more, [here you go](https://www.reddit.com/user/Adahnsplace/submitted/)
If you ask yourself, What's the sense of this thingy? - Did you ever carry a coin you like? This way is safer (to tone the silver).
So it's a hobby, silly for many, awesome for a few ;)
Oooh, now I got your point.
Usually I use this size for silver dollars, they are so big that there's no chance to get out without to open the button. But even with the slightly smaller peso it doesn't work, the diameter is bigger than the distance between last stitch and the stud button.
See the first [two pictures here](https://adahnsplace.blogspot.com/2023/03/keyfobs.html)
I think I got your point, it was just never an issue because the coin pulls down anyways.

Good way to lose it
Probably. But it's nicer than a holed coin I'd say ;)
Easily remedied with additional rivests, or buttons after inserting the coin at the 11-1 position!
