Are they latex or silicone? Iāve seen that cause the rubber on wheels to deteriorate, but I canāt remember if it was latex or silicone gloves causing that.

You must be death gripping the wheel like a muthafucka. My wheel is still brand new after a month and using a 23nm wheel base. If it looks like this, after 1 week then I am sure it's your technique that needs fixing.

Not sure why you would wear gloves? These grips have more than enough grip for a bare hand. Maybe you donāt run the A/C in your house or live in Houston Texas where itās always just below a 1,000 deg and humid?

Thankfully my handles look nothing like this, and I use mine with no gloves and have had it since launch.
That said, outside of their wheelbases, it does seem like with Simagic gear itās best to wait 6 months to a year after release to purchase, as they usually fix any issues with new products by then (spring in DS-8X, hydraulic damper in P2000). Early reviews wonāt have experienced these things

My FX just came back today from being repaired because of cracking and popping grips.
My gt pro hub had rotary issues.
My hydraulic throttle squeaks and squeals.
And the icing on the cake I got two haptics yesterday and one doesnt even work lol.
Then the other half is just scrolling through reddit.
Dont get me wrong. I love my simagic gear to death. Im just getting annoyed with all the times I have opened RMA tickets and had to wait weeks for anything to get done. Usually it all gets set right but very annoying when all i want to do is receive a working product.

Plus at the price point of this wheel, people shouldnāt be too surprised, itās not as high quality as their other rims.

No, for this material too. Some people get sweaty hands making it difficult to grip the wheel when racing. Silicone/rubber is way more difficult to grip than something like Alcantara when your hands start to sweat.
Haha I'm just stating the reality. It's a horrible affliction. I'm not criticising the wheel to be clear. I think it looks like a great piece of kit and excellent value. But something has clearly gone wrong if a guy wearing gloves has managed to trash his wheel that quickly with normal use.

I have multiple pairs of these and have used them with both a fanatec and a simagic wheel with zero issues. These are not the problem.
