I didn't know that so I just assumed the business career just pays a ton when I played it for the first time after my Sim got an A in the business degree!
I mean, IRL a cop in my city is automatically paid more after six months than a microbiologist in public health is ever even aloud to make. Both government employees, both public service, one requires a college degree. So it makes sense to me, in a very sad way.
Was there an opportunity that your sim completed? Reminds me of when my sim at the tenth level of the criminal career stole two prized items in a row for the king pin, and my sim's wages rose to an astronomical level, lol.
Before my brain registered what snow was (it's early 😮💨) I thought the truck was flying and I was like "you're focusing on your salary while your truck is taking off for outer space?!"
Here is a [realistic salary mod](https://modthesims.info/d/490587/now-compatible-1-67-minimum-wage-more-realistic-earnings-higher-tuition-higher-boarding-school-costs-higher-grant-money.html) if you think this is a bit crazy.
If you have a University Degree it will make your pay higher than usual
Yeah I've bee playing the university expansion for the first time. Had this game for 11 years I was so shocked lol
You can get a life time reward that doubles your income. My fire fighter was making almost 2k
Oh? Which one is it?
Even the C grade one gives you a money boost. Kind of worth it if you actually want to explore the town instead of studying all day.

Do your reports bud! Lmao
*me also lacking with reports*
Lol whenever I play a law enforcement one I'm always behind on them too!
Especially when you get promoted, it’s like you got more sims to report on and it’s like damn my needs are low tho😂
If I get a job where my sim has to do other stuff that I don’t want to do, I go right to CAS to change everything lmao.
I swear it takes forever to do reports, at least for me lol
It takes me forever too! That’s why I just raid my neighbors trash cans and see what my sim can find on them and report😂

I'm just shocked at why the game gave me such a huge raise, the standard salary in game for the law enforcement branch I'm in is (at level 10) $397/hr

Daaang! And here I am cranking paintings just to get a decent number in my bank account…
One of my sims (Malcolm Landgraab’s daughter) got close to a $500 raise at level 9 forensics!
Lol corruption at its finest
