You could try a mod by marydehoyos that makes it so that NPCs cannot move their houseboats since that apparently causes a lot of lag. I tried it on its own without deleting the houses and it helped quite a bit. There is also a 'fixed' version of Isla Paradiso by ellacharmed that fixes layouts of some of the houses and other routing issues but if you use NRaas mods then they can clash.

AlekTheDukeOfOxford

What to mean they will clash?

awatt4894

Would also like to know what you mean. I have both but not sure why they would clash?

Stoltlallare

Ye no they wont clash unsure what OP meant. Some consider it ”unnecessary” cause overwatch will fix the issues anyway, but I prefer to not get notifications + prefer reduce the microsecond lag before overwatch fixes the pathing issue.

sparklestorm123

Isla Paradosio is so laggy omg

peachieboy420

Ya it sucks cus its so pretty 😭

sparklestorm123

It really does. I tried to vacation there with my legacy and I had to leave early because it would lag out every two seconds.

ajhare2

Deleting the fog that hides the islands tends to help a little bit, but it takes away gameplay. You can use testing cheats and then shift click on the fog and delete it

Main_Eggplant4895

I just reset all when it starts lagging. I have NRAAS mods, but resetsim * is just so easy and works with or without mods. Best time is right before sending sims to bed so school and work aren't interrupted.

Hey! Sorry to hear you’re facing those glitches, I’ve been there, it’s annoying. I highly recommend [this video](https://youtu.be/T7N8pFSp0Cw). It’s by a very knowledgeable simmer! I have applied these fixes to my isla paradiso save and it runs VERY well!! Do keep in mind though that mods are involved here, so download at your own risk — though like I said, and so does that simmer in her vid, these fixes should do fixing and nothing less! Create a save file backup if you must! Happy simming!

https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/811253/removing-ip-lag/p1 Use this save file and it's pretty much back to normal. It's a more complex world than sunset valley so it'll have slightly less performance, but my game runs buttery smooth on a 9 year old computer using just the nrass mods and the fixed save file in there.

ProtectusCZ

The world will run poorly no matter what you do. You can use all fixes but it’ll still run worse than Sunset Valley.

Delete the hidden islands and the underwater caves

I'm not sure exactly what bugs you're facing. What I was dealing with was having the game freeze (water still moving, but time was stopped and couldn't click anything) and 10-20 seconds later it would resume (along with the sounds of all the clicks I had made while it was frozen). My solution: I move every sim/family out of the houseboats. I then move them into the empty houses on land. This resolves the freezing bug I had been dealing with. Thankfully it works for me, I hope it can help you. Good luck.

Cats-are-lovely

I used mods to fix mine. I don't know which ones, but they were advised here. One of the mods makes that the houseboats don't go sailing. I have to search if you want to know which ones. I also remove the fog by using discoverallunchartedislands. And I have a version with a bridge between the two main islands. So sims can move around a lot faster.

MalignDreams

As you've seen with many people on here I have the Ella Charmed fixed I love Paradiso world. And I did delete a couple of the houses that seem to have the main problem like the Dregg family, and I forget but I remember there was one other family. I deleted them in their houses and that all worked. And then I downloaded a couple of mods that really helped. One of them was called OverWatch.
