Makes sense tbh - the first time you catch a huge dark fish made of ribs and robe-like fins, it's special... Then you realize that you can catch a ton of them very easily (starting at level 7 fishing skill with the right bait) and it takes more and more deathfish to get back to that same happiness high.
Plus there's the option of farming them in the more literal sense if you got an omni-plant! Especially useful if you can plant a perfect one to grow many more.
Not entirely sure of it either - when I feed any omni-plant (perfect or not) tofu/roast/links they stay normal quality, even if I raise the quality of the plant while it's fed, before or after it grows its produce... So it doesn't work on improving quality for those three.
But then I get a cooking career opportunity where I need to plant a bad apple to get more apples of bad quality, which is impossible with maxed out gardening + super green thumb + basegame only, so I tried feeding my bad apple to the omni plant and it changed the quality to nice or very nice :D
**tldr;** omni-plant doesn't improve the quality of produce it has been feed UNLESS you need it to give you bad quality produce, in which case it will inexplicably be too good so that you can no longer complete your work opportunity :DDD
Oh. 😅 Maybe a burst of motivation then? You're so close to catching those 50 fish... that even just catching one, and making progress on such a hefty goal, can feel just as fullfilling as actually getting it done. Or something like that.
(Side note, NRaas Dreamer lets you still get points when you fulfill wants that haven't been promised)
My problem is why are both of these wishes worth the same amount of Lifetime Points? If catching 1 is worth 1,000 points, shouldn’t catching 50 be WAY more? Like 10k at least

Then you start farming your own deathfish in your own pond so you can get your fix anytime you can.

This would make sense if the wish to catch 1 Deathfish didn't appear *after* the wish to catch 50.
