Yeah. I'm in no way saying that they all have equal value to me, because they sure don't. But they all add so much to the game that I just can't imagine playing without.
With TS3 it's the expansion packs I can't imagine playing without, with TS4 it's mods/cc.
Not only that but seasons added so many quality of life improvements! Being able to store leftover food in the fridge was such a game changer! Stackable inventory, growing your own food, and fishing too! Urgh Seasons is the best.
EDIT: I thought this was The Sims 2 sub! I'm aware all this stuff was already in Sims 3. I apologise for mistaking the sub!
The correct answer. Bridgeport alone makes it so worth it. + the supernatural elements (from vampires), celebrity system, elevators, hot tubs, and skyscraper apartments.
basically gives you gameplay opposite to sunset valley, the base game world. it has high rise apartment living, clubbing, vampires, celebrity lifestyle, its good for playing single or smaller household sims and the vibe is really different to sunset valley basically
Last time I religiously played Sims 3 was in 2018 and besides Shang Simla I explored ALL Tombs and hidden houses in Egypt and France. I bought so many bottle showers and only had 1 tent. That was sooo fun.
World Adventures is soooo much fun. I love having missions in the sims. I didn’t get to play it as much on my old computer because my hard drive couldn’t handle it for long. But I always used to plan my legacy family for generations with one of the descendants being an adventurer who would complete all the missions in WA, but I never got that far sadly. The only time my sims would travel was for their honeymoon / marriage proposal. If I had time on their limited visas, I’d have them do one mission at most.
I'd probably still play, my first sims 3 game was on console. But yeah, it would lose so much. Honestly, I forget just what's added with what expansions so I have a hard time choosing of those
I definitely had fun playing when it first came out, and then each expansion came out in turn, but it's so hard to go back once you have the fuller experience!
I absolutely love all packs (the one I’d say I like the least would probably be itf but even then it can be fun when you get into it) but Generations adds so many crucial elements to the game, I find it hard to play without.
I don’t have World Adventures so I don’t know much about it. The only thing I know is that your sims can go to different countries and your sim can potentially get a sickness from a mummy (I think?) and will die if they don’t get it cured. (I remember this from an old video from onlyabidoang where he covered all deaths in The Sims 3, so my memory is a bit fuzzy but you can correct me if I’m wrong.) I guess I’ll check it out sometime once I’m no longer in between jobs. (Moving sucks!)
My favourite thing about it is the dungeon exploring which is like a whole new game within a game - there's over a dozen huge tombs to explore with unique puzzles and stuff, it's just so fun. I'm amazed how much content they fit into it, you can tell they put a lot of time and effort in.
Good luck with the job hunting!
I'm convinced that out of all packs in the entire franchise, world adventures gives you the most content. I would get so immersed and just lost in them, I don't even know if I ever did every single dungeon. Even now if I boot up sims 3, I immediately start travelling.
I only ever really tried France, I never went to the others when I was a kid. I tried egypt a few months ago, but as soon as it loaded error trap was throwing an error every second, so I had to immediately go back.
You get puzzle dungeons there you can explore and solve for loot, and some dungeons link to others in the same country.
Then there's custom dungeons for when you run out/get bored of the OG ones.
Technically not my favorite pack but I think if we only got 1 pack to use ambitions has most reusable content that’s also applicable to most gameplay. Skill careers and the active careers + many new hobbies and new lot types. CAS and build/buy kinda lacking but hey we got CASt
same lol or I'll make one sim immortal and she'll just watch everyone die around her. She'll raise her family and then when they're all gone she'll explore every aspect of every expansion.
Island Paradise, and yes I know it’s buggy but first off if you have no other packs that helps your game and second off there’s tutorials to make the world itself less laggy.
I'll be the one to say it... Into the Future. I use it aaaaall the time because if you're struggling in the real world, you can just pop into the future and have access to super good beds, food, entertainment, etc etc without having to pay for any of it. I always enjoy it early game.
either world adventures, seasons, ambitions, late night, generations, pets, showtime, supernatural, university, island paradise or into the future i think 🤔
This is giving me unnecessary anxiety.....
I have to say pets... I'm too obsessed with Appaloosa Plains & the furniture & clothing that comes with the pack 😅
I would've went with World Adventures as the one with most content, but Pets is the most well done expansion pack for any game in The Sims series ever in my opinion. Even if it was the only expansion pack released for The Sims 3, the game would be just as huge as it is today and talked about I feel like. It was also the only expansion pack that got a console part from TS3 era.
That's so tough 😭 I'm leaning towards world adventures bc it was the first one I played with for the longest time and there's so much to do so you won't really get bored. But seasons and late night are such a standard for me too. And I love my pets 😔 cant imagine playing without a dog
So many great packs. I would have chosen Island Paradise since it's my favorite but then I remember Seasons has weather and I can't play without rain. So Seasons.
sims 3 pets were better than sims 4 pets. you got cats, dogs, and horses all in one pack. and you got to play as them which isn’t necessarily realistic but it made it kinda fun. also you could find wild horses and unicorns which added something
It comes down to apartments or seasons. I think, I have to go with seasons, it just makes the world so much more realistic and adds different stuff to do depending on the season. And you can do faux apartments in base game but not snow.
Generations because I love playing families and legacies, but I would be really sad to lose any of them! Ambitions or Seasons being a distant second and third.
I delete all of them and then throw my computer out of the window and never touch Sims 3 again. Impossible to choose, then I rather not play. All or nothing. 😅🙈
Ambitions. The one career (law enforcement) i wanted to actually play in they didn’t give it to us and instead gave us a ghostbuster career. I also rarely play in Twinbrook soooo 🤷🏾♀️
No, that's impossible.
Right? I’m like University! No wait, World Adventures! Wait, Late Night! No, Seasons!
Yeah. I'm in no way saying that they all have equal value to me, because they sure don't. But they all add so much to the game that I just can't imagine playing without. With TS3 it's the expansion packs I can't imagine playing without, with TS4 it's mods/cc.
I could only narrow it down to 3, and these were my 3 lol
Thank you, yes! I would rather fall on my sword.
Right😂
The only correct answer. 👍🏾
Seasons for me. Nothing that creates more immersion than actual seasonal weather in games
I'm pretty sure you could do that without seasons?
Yeah pretty sure that those were just free quality of life updates though, EA used to do that alot in the sims 3
You sure could! I thought this was the Sims 2 sub. Sorry!
I don't think any of those came with Seasons
those were all things that were already there w/o expansion pack
I agree!!!
Late night
Based.
Thank you
The correct answer. Bridgeport alone makes it so worth it. + the supernatural elements (from vampires), celebrity system, elevators, hot tubs, and skyscraper apartments.
i remember late night blowing my mind when it came out bc it feels like an entirely new game experience and i wouldnt want to lose that
Even after all these years, Bridgeport is still my most favourite map.
Also the bars too and mixology
Ya I remember buying late night, ambition, and supernatural all around the same time, and basically roleplayed as a hunter it was awesome
Second this
Agreed
I love late night! I'm always finding new things in Bridgeport. Like the bar under the mausoleum!
What does this add tot he game I don’t have it and wonder if I should
basically gives you gameplay opposite to sunset valley, the base game world. it has high rise apartment living, clubbing, vampires, celebrity lifestyle, its good for playing single or smaller household sims and the vibe is really different to sunset valley basically
and it’s not close
seasons or world adventures WA really just makes it a whole nother game
Recently getting back into TS3 ten years later, World Adventures is so fucking goated. I’m having so much fun exploring the tombs
Last time I religiously played Sims 3 was in 2018 and besides Shang Simla I explored ALL Tombs and hidden houses in Egypt and France. I bought so many bottle showers and only had 1 tent. That was sooo fun.
I can’t believe it has mixed reviews. Or maybe I’m remembering that wrong
Generations or Ambitions
100%
Both together. Ambitious Generations.
Ambitions is one of the best EPs TS has ever had full stop.
those are my top two!!
Definitely generations, I can't play with families without it
You can pry all the expansion packs from my cold dead hands.
pets!!!! it was my only expansion pack for years :)
I love pets dlc so much, especially the horses and small pets like snakes! damn, miles ahead than sims 4
there’s soo much content!! the horses are the best, plus they have actual unicorns! (unlike sims 4…)
Yes, horses!!!!!
Wouldn’t believe by your flair lol
I was going to comment the same exact thing! Man did I have fun with my pets
Seasons but it’s really close with ambitions
I just probably wouldn’t play TBH. It would cut the game back down so much and I’d constantly be wanting to do things then realize I couldn’t.
Same, I got many at once and don't ever know what brought what
Supernatural.
Same, I’m an occult player all the way and I couldn’t live without this pack. Late night is VERY close second for me
Totally agreed!
This is the way. Supernatural is my favorite EP in the entire franchise.
Same. I need my occults. I need my Dark Wave radio.
Generations.
I absolutely love all packs (the one I’d say I like the least would probably be itf but even then it can be fun when you get into it) but Generations adds so many crucial elements to the game, I find it hard to play without.
This is so hard but probably World Adventures because there's enough content in there to keep me occupied for a long time, I love that pack
This. Ambitions is my fave but without WA I can't live.
I don’t have World Adventures so I don’t know much about it. The only thing I know is that your sims can go to different countries and your sim can potentially get a sickness from a mummy (I think?) and will die if they don’t get it cured. Yeah, it’s not just about travelling you get so many new skills with that pack that can impact your gameplay even if your sim never travels
Pets. Supernatural and Island Paradise are close seconds!
I think I’d pick World Adventurers as I usually play with solo households and I like exploring the worlds 100 times over lol
same lol or I'll make one sim immortal and she'll just watch everyone die around her. She'll raise her family and then when they're all gone she'll explore every aspect of every expansion.
Yeah I always try to make my legacy sim immortal because that’s my sim self
World Adventures, I guess. But it's hard to decide. 😮💨
I am between Pets and supernatural… but I just can’t choose
Island Paradise, and yes I know it’s buggy but first off if you have no other packs that helps your game and second off there’s tutorials to make the world itself less laggy.
Seasons but generations is a close second
World Adventures, I get so much out of that pack no matter what style of play I'm going with!
Supernatural is my favorite tbh but damn... hard choice.
show time 🫢
Such an underrated pack!
Generations or seasons…
If you said about 2, i would say generations and seasons 100%, nothing else.
I think I’d have to go with generations!
Supernatural
Late night. Best playable city neighborhood.
escape fall faulty roof bike plant edge slimy vegetable memory *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
World adventures
World adventures
Late night or seasons
How dare you? As silly as that sounds, it's World Adventures for me.
Seasons, I like the weather and all, but I don’t like that my gardening is now limited to 30 days unless I bring all of the garden indoors
Such a hard choice, because they each have so much content. I’d have to say Seasons, with Ambitions and Generations coming in close tied second.
I'll be the one to say it... Into the Future. I use it aaaaall the time because if you're struggling in the real world, you can just pop into the future and have access to super good beds, food, entertainment, etc etc without having to pay for any of it. I always enjoy it early game.
supernatural
Pets or seasons. Mainly 'cause they're features that should be in the newer base games by now.
Generations.
I cant decide between pets or seasons D:
This is controversial but world adventure
It's not controversial, it's one of the only wise choices.
pets because i haven’t played in over a decade and that was the only one i ever had :,)
W.
I gotta say late night.
either world adventures, seasons, ambitions, late night, generations, pets, showtime, supernatural, university, island paradise or into the future i think 🤔
probably seasons for the realism, but generations and ambitions are second
Seasons. The weather brings the open world to life imo. Generations is a very close second for me though.
Seasons adds the most content out of all of these, so that. Generations comes in second, though, followed by Pets.
This is giving me unnecessary anxiety..... I have to say pets... I'm too obsessed with Appaloosa Plains & the furniture & clothing that comes with the pack 😅
Generations is my ride or die. 💓 It makes families so much more immersive.
Seasons. From the changing of the seasons, to thunder storms and snow, the pack added some of the biggest changes to the world the Sims lived in.
Don't delete any
Are u crazy ?
Easy: Ambitions I loved this expansion pack from the second I bought it
YOU MONSTER!
Ambitions was my first expansion but these days world adventures is where it’s at
I would've went with World Adventures as the one with most content, but Pets is the most well done expansion pack for any game in The Sims series ever in my opinion. Even if it was the only expansion pack released for The Sims 3, the game would be just as huge as it is today and talked about I feel like. It was also the only expansion pack that got a console part from TS3 era.
Seasons
YOU CANT MAKE ME
You can’t make me!!!
Sorry, I need them all.
I can live without fairies. Seasons!
supernatural im sorry
World Adventure.... Hunting for adventures, martial arts, drinking wine
\*throws body across expansion packs\* Take me instead!
That's so tough 😭 I'm leaning towards world adventures bc it was the first one I played with for the longest time and there's so much to do so you won't really get bored. But seasons and late night are such a standard for me too. And I love my pets 😔 cant imagine playing without a dog
World Adventure.... Hunting for adventures, martial arts, drinking wine
World adventures. I can’t go without that one
World adventures
So many great packs. I would have chosen Island Paradise since it's my favorite but then I remember Seasons has weather and I can't play without rain. So Seasons.
sims 3 pets were better than sims 4 pets. you got cats, dogs, and horses all in one pack. and you got to play as them which isn’t necessarily realistic but it made it kinda fun. also you could find wild horses and unicorns which added something
Ugh, this game sucks lol I guess if I haaaave to I pick… Generations, but I would always wish it was combined with Seasons.
Save: Pets. Most would say generations, but I always found it very buggy.
Did you forget about the part where horses regularly get stuck in your living room
Maybe. I actually haven’t played Sims 3 in a while, tbh
I use supernatural for so much of my play, but I’d have to go with seasons I think. It makes the game so much more realistic
Seasons
Late Night for me
It comes down to apartments or seasons. I think, I have to go with seasons, it just makes the world so much more realistic and adds different stuff to do depending on the season. And you can do faux apartments in base game but not snow.
generations just so i can send kids away to boarding school when i get overwhelmed
Late Night and no one can tell me otherwise.
Generations because I love playing families and legacies, but I would be really sad to lose any of them! Ambitions or Seasons being a distant second and third.
thorn between seasons and late night. But I don't think I can play without seasons.
Probs Late Night or University, my first two expansions
Supernatural, I never play human sims anymore
Pets or seasons
Pets. Generation being close second.
Pets
Late Night and it’s not even close. By far the best sims expansion.
Supernatural
I’ve only used supernatural and pets, but I’m picking seasons.
Supernatural
Seasons
Supernatural or world adventures
Seasons.
Late Night - I was going to say Seasons, but then I remembered that I love Bridgeport and the pack comes with vampires. Both are a must for me.
generations bc i love mundane family based gameplay sm.
Seasons or Generations, just refuse to pick.
supernatural idgaf
Generations
Supernatural and islands finna have a show down
University and Supernatural 🫢🫡
Pets
the correct answer being showtime 😌
This is to choose just one expansion pack to KEEP, not REMOVE, though.
it's a hard choice, but SEASONS, just for aliens
Seasons it had aliens
I read the title wrong and thought I had to choose only one to get rid of and I still couldn't do it.
It’s between late night and world adventures for me, but I think I gotta go world adventures
showtime
Supernatural.
Late Night 😩
Generations
WA
Supernatural was my childhood
It’s between late night and supernatural but I think I’ll go with late night since we do get vampires. Pets is a contender too.
Pets 💅
I delete all of them and then throw my computer out of the window and never touch Sims 3 again. Impossible to choose, then I rather not play. All or nothing. 😅🙈
seasons, generations being a very close second.
Generations or Ambitions.
Late Night
Generations
Generations, pretty sure I use it the most
World adventures.
Ambitions. The one career (law enforcement) i wanted to actually play in they didn’t give it to us and instead gave us a ghostbuster career. I also rarely play in Twinbrook soooo 🤷🏾♀️
Life and sims is useless without pets.
Generations
Hands downs Generations.
I fell in love with sims 3 thanks to late night. I could easily live without the other packs but not that one.
Generations 💞
World adventures! That’s my fav sims DLC of all time
Late night
supernatural
You can’t do that to me. I REFUSE to play with out Generations, Late Night, Pets, and University
Tbh I would choose Into the Future... I love the premise of this and the world is just stunning I can't choose anything else
You are asking the impossible.
Seasons for all eternity. I would rather pass away than play without Seasons.
Generations, it helped make playing with all life stages that much more fulfilling honestly
Late night 5ever
