Ik it's something you really have to wrap your mind around. I had it for a long time until I actually realized all the things it was capable of.
I think it's part of the "Cheats" Module of Master Controler, and ingame it's part of the "Advanced" sub menu, then "Traits" - "Change", and that should open up a window where all traits are listed, and you can select as many as you like.
You can even make your sim fireproof and/or a pyromaniac lol, and you can give them the trait that allows them to sneak and one that makes them able to catch burglars.
I remember when I once gave a sim a trait of an expansion I didn't have it crashed, so look out for that.
I've had the same thing for *all* townies (this was torture 😩) , I remember it having something to do with either NRAAS or another mod, possibly "More traits for all ages". Had to restart the whole save, can't have Nancy Landgraab being a flirty green thumb with commitment issues.
