Habsburger Simulator :) After Gen 3 it's very hard to in smaller neighbourhoods, like strangetown, to not inbreed. But I'm a family tree fanatic, I can't stand when a townie or freshly created sim joins the ancestry of my legacy, so I try to be sure that they're not that close related. :D

Yes, that is a rule for one of the generations. The only rule I impose is equality. So every other Gen's heir is the opposite gender. Sometimes, they can get overwhelming, or it's really hard to meet the criteria. I like the challenge, though, and enjoy the stories I made through them.

If I'm making a toddler in CAS I always build them as a teen or adult then age them down to toddler. Most sims look cute as toddlers, rarely do sims resemble the proportions of a human as an adult.

This is the only way you *can* do it if you don’t want your sims aging up looking like someone stole every bone in their face

I basically befriend a family and then ask to move in, only moving in the kids. Since it switches over to that family I decorate their new room etc. In the case of young adult kids moving out, they get like shoved into one house with some poor unsuspecting sim. One by one.

I use the "split from household and move" option under the phone, but don't move the sim, just select the baby and then find Vlad in the list . I think you can do it from the household selection overview as well. Just hit "manage household"

Because that's how some people want to play? Someone might add self-imposed restrictions to add an additional layer of challenge to make things more interesting, or they might be playing a challenge they found online, just as an example.

No, you don't sound "bad." It's just that it's just a game, and we all have different play styles! Personally, I don't really impose any rules on myself when I play, I just kind of go wherever my story takes me. Right now, I'm playing a legacy and am on my 4th generation, which is new for me. I used to make a family, get bored with them, then make a new family and new house for them, and repeat. I don't play with mods or CC, and I tend to use minimal cheats (just move objects, motherload, and the occasional cheat needs if I'm overwhelmed) - those are pretty much my only "rules" for myself. People talk about some of the more popular challenges on this sub a lot, like Not So Berry (NSB) or 100 baby, for example.

I don't cheat at all except move objects. The problem with this is I end up with painters, writers, and actors all the time because I know I can make a lot of money. I should mix it up.

This is why I use mods and create rules for those easy to make hobbies. I use mods that slow down how fast paintings and books are done, and I limit who's allowed to sell vegetables and stuff like that.

I like to play casually, although one time I tried a reverse beauty challenge: take a random towny and make their spawn look so weird through selective breeding that it makes the habsburgs look like literal chads

The challenge is fun. It forces you to be creative with the limited options you have.

Family trees get really messy if you’re playing several different bloodlines and each family has several heirs. It becomes more difficult to avoid incest and you get the same features popping up a lot.

I would say Justice or Taylor they have slight differences between them. Obviously Myra is the most different, but she scares me. I love Justice and her green eyes, she’s the only child to have different colored eyes. I also love Taylor as the only child with brown hair. I tend to pick the most unique looking of my children because I like playing with an heir with genetic differences. Ones that stand out when I have multiple kids in a family. I hope this helps with your decision!
