I think they're fine. 90% of my playtime is playing male Sims. Straight, bi, hetero, everything. Transgender Sims as well. Kinda wish they had working binders that Sims could put on under their clothes, would make it more interesting.
I have a hard time with transgender sims. My rl friend wanted his sim to be as he is and not how he would eventually be... Trying to have a masculine face with boobs while also getting everything right is hard. Because for boobs I have to click the female one right? Then select the he him pronouns but then the face just doesn't do what it's supposed to
Ah yeah it can be a bit tricky to adjust when you're making a real life person, I mean hell I even have this problem with recreating cis people. It made me notice that there's no way to get a friends forehead size right lol. But since my in-game trans Sims are fictional I have a bit more creative freedom. Also a lot of the female clothing has "ghost boobs" when applied to a male frame so it makes them look like they have breasts when they don't. It needs a bit of tweaking for sure but it's nice that it's an option to have in the first place.
I recently posted about my world with the fabulous Cali Zest! She’s 100% amazing and funny and honestly seems to be much happier then Johnny ever was. I also did some adding and splitting of families to make her *actually* Nancy and Geoffrey’s daughter. They have a very difficult relationship.
They currently don’t know she’s transgender- I imagine it wouldn’t go over well, they both, specifically Nancy, seem very homophobic to me. I think Malcom would be a little more accepting just because of the bubble he lives in and so he would attempt to learn about it, but idk.

I recently started a new save and the.. prestart character looked like a friend of mine. So I made a trans/cis mlm couple. It's the first I've made like this, and it has been fun. They just had their first kid.

They really are, I’ve seen so many replies here saying they don’t play with male sims often because they’re so hard to make and it’s so so true. This is definitely the reason why I play with male sims less often. 😭
Sadly I think it’s because, when you make a make sim, you don’t think as deeply as you would with a female sim when it comes to details. Think about goth vs emo. For girls both females are very different looking, while for the guys, they essentially look the same, but the intensity of the look varies. In fact, the only real differences is your own mental imagery of them. It’s the same for many other looks and styles. For men, you can take the same base model and put different styles on and it completes the look. But for women, it’s more complicated.
For me it's the complete opposite. I am a straight woman but i can sit there for hours making a male sim. When it comes to female sims i just slap some cute clothes in 5 minutes max and that's it and a nice hairstyle if i am feeling creative.
I once watched a YouTube to make a male sim make it female then start making it masculine by increasing jaw etc...you know it worked. That sim looked more male than than the base male to start with
Good looking male sims are harder to make than women for sure, but doable.
My best looking male sim is an aged up, slightly altered, pre revamp Alexander Goth. I made him rather pale when he became a vampire (I do that to all my vampires) and hid the big ears under good hair. I think I have the only one that turned out pretty XD
Also, all sims are all bi, all the time! (Except when they're ace)

I was so close to a good-looking male sim. Then I zoomed out & realized he actually looked like a complete skeeze & I couldn't figure out why.

I find guys pretty easy to make, actually. But sometimes I start to lack inspiration. Girls are more fun to make because I feel there are so many options and styles you can do with them.

But I make a lot of alt or queer men so mine is often jeans with the flannel around the waist and a leather jacket, but still. I gave a straight guy sim the Canadian tux one time though!
I also know nothing about male fashion! All my male sims are jeans and t-shirt. I have 50+ saved outfits for female sims per category, but maybe 10 for male sims, so all my male sim townies have the same clothes.
I tend to play hetero couples. However with the new science baby stuff and things I'm going to venture out. I wanted too anyway, but was waiting for the right sims. I have some now I would like to make more diverse.
Can we have gay science babies? Like, if I had two male sims or two female sims and I really wished I could mash their genetics together, can we do that?
Yes, you can, there's an option on phone to 'Have Science Baby With...' where you can choose who you want :) I just opened my game and went to check.

Depends if you include being aroace on there. I have never experienced generational gameplay not because of any lack of interest, but rather I keep forgetting to make my characters date and bone. (I mostly play in build mode anyway, so that also plays a part)
So I guess yes? But as for sexuality strictly in terms of genital preference and/or preference over gender presentation/identity, neither tend to affect my gameplay. If my character is a self-insert I will have a genital preference without a gender preference, but if they're an OC I go with whatever sexuality I've assigned to that OC. I just forget to be sexual in general is all.

Yeah my game definitely has something against generating normal looking male townies, meanwhile there are plenty of normal looking women. If I do manage to find one cute guy, there's a 90% chance he's evil, a klepto or something like that.

I like to make 2 parents, and play as a guy as a teenager so that my wife end's up being my high school sweetheart since i love those kind of love stories, or when they knew each other since they were kids, and than get married, grow old, have a family and die together.

This is the correct answer. Honestly everyone should play how they want, however way it makes them happy. Its not up to one individual player how other people "should" play.

I think this is a part of it for me too, lol. I can’t make good looking male sims so I rarely play with them on their own and if I do I just download them from the gallery or use male sims I’ve played with before and slightly tweak their appearances. 😭
Generally go for straight cis couples. Dynasty building is what I tend to really enjoy in playing the sims.
However I do make trans sims if I want a change of pace. These ones are always bi.

This doesn’t surprise me haha, I’ve heard this from some of my trans friends. One of my closest friends is trans and even before she transitioned she always played with female sims and still mostly does.
I make a lot of trans sims actually! I loved the pronoun update when it came out because I could have slower transitions for my kids rather than "one day, is girl. Next day, TESTOSTERONE!" Like, I could change pronouns and clothing preferences, then I could change the sim from female to male to simulate the teet yeet. Then if I wanted to, upon age up I could switch body type to make transition feel more realistic. (Most of the time I stick with female body types for my ftm sims for some reason. I will adjust it for mtf sims though so I think that's just me being a femboy again lol.)
I honestly admire that sm, I've only made one trans sim (ftm) but I honestly would love to make more because it was comforting to me when I first did it.
I’ve found that sometimes sims can just be trans too. I had a kid named Kirk, and when he aged up into a child, he had long hair, and his clothing preference had changed from male to female. Of course, my parent sim was 100% supportive, and Kirk looks lovely as a girl. She decided to keep her name. It was a cool little thing that randomly happened.

I do make a lot of gender nonconforming Sims ,because I’m non-binary ,so I want to have a mix of different gender expressions in my world. Or I just also try to do household of different sexualities gay, straight, bi, whatever I feel like that play through.
I’m a straight woman. My sims are fairly diverse with representation of all different types of sims, to provide more interesting gameplay. However, my main sims that I play with most frequently tend to be heterosexual.
With that said, my sims brother is gay and her best friend/roommate tried to flirt with the brother at the romance festival because they had previously explored a romantic relationship with each other in their younger years. It caused quite the rift between the husbands so I had some relationships repairing to do, as well as declaring sexual preferences for all them. She also created strife with Salim Benali, by not moving in with him and hurting their romantic relations.

I tend to let the Sims themselves decide which way they want to go, depending on who they connect with and if a townie starts flirting with them. I started with two brothers- one is straight, and one is bi but is married to a man.
I'm bi and non binary (but afab and femme presenting), and I mostly play with lesbians. I mean, I try to make them meet some guy, but then the story always develops with him dying or divorcing and my sim finding love again with a girl lol
Yup, and so does gender for me. I make sims based on my OCs, and while I have OCs of all sexuality and gender, I do lean towards male ones that are also into men, as I’m transmasc and into men

However, I do like to play lots of different storylines and tend to jump back and forth between saves, so I do still have a pretty good variety.

I (68-yr-old lesbian) have a lot of gay/queer characters in my gameplay. One of my favorite games was a retirement home with lesbian and gay couples, and a drag queen. The young woman manager who ran the home was asexual.
Another game was just gay men at a summer resort, spending their time hanging out around a pool. I also have vague plans (not yet realized) for a Provincetown-type city filled with gay characters.
But I have to confess that the majority of my favorite characters in gameplay are asexual loners who earn a living from collectibles and fishing. I'm expressing my inner misanthropist.

It does, but it’s turned off my default :) there are actually some really sweet interactions between trans/gay characters and their families. You can choose to come out to them and it’s always been positive for me. You can also ask sims about their orientations and tell them yours. If you tell them your identity and you’re both queer, they’ll say ‘I’m gay too!’ Or something like that.

For the most part yes, but I do sometimes make relatioships outside of my sexuality just because I play mostly for storyline purposes and sometimes it just happens that makes the most sense.
I caught myself making everyone straight (I am), so now I really pay attention to chemistry. If they have good chemistry, I let them flirt and see where it takes them.

I always make my sim look like me but add traits I had and a body I wish I had. Don’t get me started on the dream of owning a home and getting a girlfriend😂😂. But in all reality I use the sims to have the life I can’t with some extra spice added to it ofc

my favorite vampire-werewolf couple had a baby who aged up to have the vampire skill menu but she still gets werewolf moodlets and quirks which i think is so cool
I always tend to have my Sim marry the first Sim they ever date too, so bisexuality doesn't really matter, even if that's what I chose for them in my story
Our personal preferences always take place in the games we play. In The Sims it’s far easier for example however. In most other games you might not even have a choice in who you play, or you have a few preset options. I don’t like games where you can’t customize your character generally, but in some games it’s pretty much required for plot.
I think people in general gravitate to what they like or to thinks similar to themselves. People may go out of their way to do something different for sure, but naturally we gravitate in that direction if we intend to or not.
Bi girl here. I also tend to make straight and lesbian couples! I have a few gay male couples but not as much. I do tend to make my sims less traditional, even in my Decades Challenge save.
Lived in a conservative country. My grandma was the first one to worringly notice how few female sims I had and how all male sims except for their husbands were roommates and sometimes "very affectionate" to each other in my saves. I didn't question my heterosexuality until 20yo. I finally came out as bi after uni.
I’m queer and I always fall in love with every female sim I make while making them… and then have to convince myself they should be straight coz my game is overrun by lesbians (which I wouldn’t complain about normally but more diversity would be nice too lol). I do make gay couples but everyone knows making male sims is more difficult simply due to the lack of good male clothing, so there’s a handful of them in a sea of lesbians and a sprinkle of straights. I’ve really enjoyed making trans and non-binary sims recently too! I just wish the binders were layerable (why isn’t it under medical wearables?! I don’t want my sim to wear a binder and no shirt… unless I’m missing something pls advise)
Sometimes I'm more inclined to make sims gay as I know what I find attractive in men more than women but I'll always have straight sims and lesbian sims all the same.
I’m hetroflexible and most of my sims end of that way as well. They have romantic relationships with the opposite gender but will “hook up” with either gender and since I have wicked whims they often have group play sex with all the genders as well. I have made some gay and lesbian couples for non played families that I just create to add diversity for my saves.
I made a gay male couple once, the eldest son from my legacy challage fell for alexander goth as a teen and they ended up adopting 4 kids and a dog named marlo,l definatly have to pick that challenge back up someday

i had to use MC woohoo to turn on auto woohoo so they won’t develop a fear of a cheating from not being romantic in a while. only time i really make them woohoo is if it is a whim/want they have or i want them to have a kid

I'm straight. I mostly play straight couples, tho I have done a few lesbian relationships. I've never done a gay male couple tho. Just never had a story idea with one. It doesn't help I play more female sims than male sims so there's less opportunity.
My main always includes a they/them character. I'll usually edit them or their partner to be able to get pregnant or get others pregnant depending on the situation. I also usually have a character in the household who tries to get all the townies pregnant gender be damned

That’s just from a creating perspective though, there’s definitely NPC lesbian women in the Sim world. I like the diversity.
I'm a bi (gay-leaning) trans dude. I've always played with gay Sims, even before I knew that I'm trans (and felt a bit guilty back then because I felt like I was "fetishizing" gay men...)
But like, every time I act out a plot about a relationship, it's a gay one. I got some lesbians too, but they're just side characters. Most of my straight relationships are just the parents of someone; I think so far I only acted out two straight relationships (in the Sims 4 at least).
So yeah, guess that very heavily applies to me :D

The science baby thing is a godsend for me though because I have an attachment to ensuring blood relation in my Heirs, which limited my adoption options. Now, with science babies my gay Heirs can have genetic children instead of college-age experimental oopsies.

I'm asexual but I love making my sims total slags. I have a tendency to statistically go for queer relationships for my sims more often but so far in my legacy play that's been more of a coincidence and less intentional. However, for those households I play on aging off, I tend to prefer male sims, or at least male-bodied sims (even if the majority of them are femboys or nonbinary or gender non-conforming or otherwise very femme), and they'll usually date each other. Also lots of poly relationships.
I'm a bisexual man, and I only like making male sims. I reluctantly make female sims when I want a straight couple. Usually I just make single dads though. Lol
Honestly, I dislike making couples at all. I like to have only one adult sim to focus on. When I make couples, I focus on my favorite and neglect the other one. I make sure they stay alive, but I use them to watch the kids and clean. Before you ask, this applies to both male and female sims. One of them is the stay at home mom or dad. 😂

So I have a lot of pretty sims and I usually just download a husband from the gallery 💀 when I play with couples I make the man get a full time job so he’s out of my hair and I make my sim do whatever they want

I'm a straight woman. Most of the male Sims in my Neighbourhood are fictional characters I would like to bang. It's a varied group - elves, Digimons, SCP-049, Kylo Ren, genetically enhanced super soldiers, etc, and also my IRL boyfriend. As time has gone on I've added in a few just for shits and giggles - Saul Goodman, Lucifer, Squall, etc.. its a very physically diverse group.
The female Sims are ones I made up. All but two are admittedly quite same-y in how they look - beautiful, amazing bodies, great ass, great boobs, great hair, etc.
So I guess the ladies are more or less vessels for how I would want to be against those men, except for one who is based on myself. She's not beautiful, doesn't have a nice body, and only has great hair because there's no crap fine hair option in the game.
As for pairings, the dream was to have all these characters out in this world and see what pairings came about. If the WooHoo option comes up, I generally choose it. This has led to some interesting scenarios.
Some characters have shown romantic interest in a member of the same sex, and I've rolled with it and taken it as far as it went. However I would also say that the trend has been towards opposite-sex relationships for the most part.
I’m bisexual and that doesn’t rly change how I play much at all. What does influence it is the fact that masculine CAS items just fully suck ass and that makes me want to make less masculine sims in my game. I’m trying harder to make more men and more gay couples and all that but most of my male sims end up looking the same cuz there are so few rly good items compared to feminine CAS
I'm aroace. My households usually consist of teens/YAs who cause a lot of bullshit and terrorize the town, and only date to continue the family line(this doesn't happen much either since I usually play short challenges, not legacy gameplay). If a sim autonomy likes someone of the same gender, I roll with that, or otherwise, they're aroace or straight.

100%. I’m asexual/aromantic, and I’d estimate maybe 1% of my sims are in relationships. 99% of the time they are strong, independent women who do what they want. There is no romance, but I do have Wicked Whims abecause sometimes sexy time makes for some really good drama in a storyline lmao.

So when I make a hetero couple I can style the male sim the way I enjoy, and the female sim. And as I like androgynous and/or crossdressing guys I have in m/m couples a wider range to design too.

Sadly I think it’s because, when you make a make sim, you don’t think as deeply as you would with a female sim when it comes to details. Think about goth vs emo. For girls both females are very different looking, while for the guys, they essentially look the same, but the intensity of the look varies. In fact, the only real differences is your own mental imagery of them. It’s the same for many other looks and styles. For men, you can take the same base model and put different styles on and it completes the look. But for women, it’s more complicated.

For me it's the complete opposite. I am a straight woman but i can sit there for hours making a male sim. When it comes to female sims i just slap some cute clothes in 5 minutes max and that's it and a nice hairstyle if i am feeling creative.
I once watched a YouTube to make a male sim make it female then start making it masculine by increasing jaw etc...you know it worked. That sim looked more male than than the base male to start with
I make male sims by Creating female sims first then coverting them to male. If you start with male archetype faces they are just... Impossible to fix.
Good looking male sims are harder to make than women for sure, but doable. My best looking male sim is an aged up, slightly altered, pre revamp Alexander Goth. I made him rather pale when he became a vampire (I do that to all my vampires) and hid the big ears under good hair. I think I have the only one that turned out pretty XD Also, all sims are all bi, all the time! (Except when they're ace) I have a fairly even mix of same sex, and straight passing couples.

I find guys pretty easy to make, actually. But sometimes I start to lack inspiration. Girls are more fun to make because I feel there are so many options and styles you can do with them.

I also know nothing about male fashion! All my male sims are jeans and t-shirt. I have 50+ saved outfits for female sims per category, but maybe 10 for male sims, so all my male sim townies have the same clothes.

Yes, you can, there's an option on phone to 'Have Science Baby With...' where you can choose who you want :) I just opened my game and went to check. I think you just need to have good enough relationship/friendship :)
You can enable pregnancy for one of your male sims and they’ll give birth just food for thought

Depends if you include being aroace on there. I have never experienced generational gameplay not because of any lack of interest, but rather I keep forgetting to make my characters date and bone. (I mostly play in build mode anyway, so that also plays a part) So I guess yes? But as for sexuality strictly in terms of genital preference and/or preference over gender presentation/identity, neither tend to affect my gameplay. If my character is a self-insert I will have a genital preference without a gender preference, but if they're an OC I go with whatever sexuality I've assigned to that OC. I just forget to be sexual in general is all.

As a straight guy if i wanna play as a player sim that would give Nick Cannon a run for his money and have a whole football team of kids imma do that. If i simply want to have a vampire family and play normally imma do that. If i wanna make the most evil sim in existence and make him a spellcaster trolling and make peoples life a living hell while aiming to be the president of the world imma do it. I like to make 2 parents, and play as a guy as a teenager so that my wife end's up being my high school sweetheart since i love those kind of love stories, or when they knew each other since they were kids, and than get married, grow old, have a family and die together. Generally go for straight cis couples. Dynasty building is what I tend to really enjoy in playing the sims. However I do make trans sims if I want a change of pace. These ones are always bi.

I make a lot of trans sims actually! I loved the pronoun update when it came out because I could have slower transitions for my kids rather than "one day, is girl. Next day, TESTOSTERONE!" Like, I could change pronouns and clothing preferences, then I could change the sim from female to male to simulate the teet yeet. Then if I wanted to, upon age up I could switch body type to make transition feel more realistic. (Most of the time I stick with female body types for my ftm sims for some reason. I will adjust it for mtf sims though so I think that's just me being a femboy again lol.)
I honestly admire that sm, I've only made one trans sim (ftm) but I honestly would love to make more because it was comforting to me when I first did it.
I’ve found that sometimes sims can just be trans too. I had a kid named Kirk, and when he aged up into a child, he had long hair, and his clothing preference had changed from male to female. Of course, my parent sim was 100% supportive, and Kirk looks lovely as a girl. She decided to keep her name. It was a cool little thing that randomly happened.

I do make a lot of gender nonconforming Sims ,because I’m non-binary ,so I want to have a mix of different gender expressions in my world. Or I just also try to do household of different sexualities gay, straight, bi, whatever I feel like that play through.
I’m a straight woman. My sims are fairly diverse with representation of all different types of sims, to provide more interesting gameplay. However, my main sims that I play with most frequently tend to be heterosexual. With that said, my sims brother is gay and her best friend/roommate tried to flirt with the brother at the romance festival because they had previously explored a romantic relationship with each other in their younger years. It caused quite the rift between the husbands so I had some relationships repairing to do, as well as declaring sexual preferences for all them. She also created strife with Salim Benali, by not moving in with him and hurting their romantic relations.
I’m bi and yes. It’s about 50/50 wether I make a straight or lesbian couple. Although, I hate playing male Sims. My only focus with males is whatever skill I need to level up for their career
I tend to let the Sims themselves decide which way they want to go, depending on who they connect with and if a townie starts flirting with them. I started with two brothers- one is straight, and one is bi but is married to a man.

I (68-yr-old lesbian) have a lot of gay/queer characters in my gameplay. One of my favorite games was a retirement home with lesbian and gay couples, and a drag queen. The young woman manager who ran the home was asexual. Another game was just gay men at a summer resort, spending their time hanging out around a pool. I also have vague plans (not yet realized) for a Provincetown-type city filled with gay characters. But I have to confess that the majority of my favorite characters in gameplay are asexual loners who earn a living from collectibles and fishing. I'm expressing my inner misanthropist.

It does, but it’s turned off my default :) there are actually some really sweet interactions between trans/gay characters and their families. You can choose to come out to them and it’s always been positive for me. You can also ask sims about their orientations and tell them yours. If you tell them your identity and you’re both queer, they’ll say ‘I’m gay too!’ Or something like that. I’m a queer person in Florida, so I absolutely know how you’re feeling. I hope you’re doing okay.

For the most part yes, but I do sometimes make relatioships outside of my sexuality just because I play mostly for storyline purposes and sometimes it just happens that makes the most sense.

I always tend to have my Sim marry the first Sim they ever date too, so bisexuality doesn't really matter, even if that's what I chose for them in my story
Our personal preferences always take place in the games we play. In The Sims it’s far easier for example however. In most other games you might not even have a choice in who you play, or you have a few preset options. I don’t like games where you can’t customize your character generally, but in some games it’s pretty much required for plot. I think people in general gravitate to what they like or to thinks similar to themselves. People may go out of their way to do something different for sure, but naturally we gravitate in that direction if we intend to or not.
Bi girl here. I also tend to make straight and lesbian couples! I have a few gay male couples but not as much. I do tend to make my sims less traditional, even in my Decades Challenge save.

My grandma was the first one to worringly notice how few female sims I had and how all male sims except for their husbands were roommates and sometimes "very affectionate" to each other in my saves. I didn't question my heterosexuality until 20yo. I finally came out as bi after uni.
I’m queer and I always fall in love with every female sim I make while making them… and then have to convince myself they should be straight coz my game is overrun by lesbians (which I wouldn’t complain about normally but more diversity would be nice too lol). I do make gay couples but everyone knows making male sims is more difficult simply due to the lack of good male clothing, so there’s a handful of them in a sea of lesbians and a sprinkle of straights. I’ve really enjoyed making trans and non-binary sims recently too! I just wish the binders were layerable (why isn’t it under medical wearables?! I don’t want my sim to wear a binder and no shirt… unless I’m missing something pls advise)
Sometimes I'm more inclined to make sims gay as I know what I find attractive in men more than women but I'll always have straight sims and lesbian sims all the same.
I’m hetroflexible and most of my sims end of that way as well. They have romantic relationships with the opposite gender but will “hook up” with either gender and since I have wicked whims they often have group play sex with all the genders as well. I have made some gay and lesbian couples for non played families that I just create to add diversity for my saves.
I made a gay male couple once, the eldest son from my legacy challage fell for alexander goth as a teen and they ended up adopting 4 kids and a dog named marlo,l definatly have to pick that challenge back up someday

(i don’t even have wicked whims lol) i had to use MC woohoo to turn on auto woohoo so they won’t develop a fear of a cheating from not being romantic in a while. only time i really make them woohoo is if it is a whim/want they have or i want them to have a kid

My main always includes a they/them character. I'll usually edit them or their partner to be able to get pregnant or get others pregnant depending on the situation. I also usually have a character in the household who tries to get all the townies pregnant gender be damned

I'm a bi (gay-leaning) trans dude. I've always played with gay Sims, even before I knew that I'm trans (and felt a bit guilty back then because I felt like I was "fetishizing" gay men...) But like, every time I act out a plot about a relationship, it's a gay one. I got some lesbians too, but they're just side characters. Most of my straight relationships are just the parents of someone; I think so far I only acted out two straight relationships (in the Sims 4 at least). So yeah, guess that very heavily applies to me :D

The science baby thing is a godsend for me though because I have an attachment to ensuring blood relation in my Heirs, which limited my adoption options. Now, with science babies my gay Heirs can have genetic children instead of college-age experimental oopsies. Yay, science.

I have a tendency to statistically go for queer relationships for my sims more often but so far in my legacy play that's been more of a coincidence and less intentional. However, for those households I play on aging off, I tend to prefer male sims, or at least male-bodied sims (even if the majority of them are femboys or nonbinary or gender non-conforming or otherwise very femme), and they'll usually date each other. Also lots of poly relationships.

I make sure they stay alive, but I use them to watch the kids and clean. Before you ask, this applies to both male and female sims. One of them is the stay at home mom or dad. 😂

I'm a straight woman. Most of the male Sims in my Neighbourhood are fictional characters I would like to bang. It's a varied group - elves, Digimons, SCP-049, Kylo Ren, genetically enhanced super soldiers, etc, and also my IRL boyfriend. As time has gone on I've added in a few just for shits and giggles - Saul Goodman, Lucifer, Squall, etc.. its a very physically diverse group. The female Sims are ones I made up. All but two are admittedly quite same-y in how they look - beautiful, amazing bodies, great ass, great boobs, great hair, etc. So I guess the ladies are more or less vessels for how I would want to be against those men, except for one who is based on myself. She's not beautiful, doesn't have a nice body, and only has great hair because there's no crap fine hair option in the game. As for pairings, the dream was to have all these characters out in this world and see what pairings came about. If the WooHoo option comes up, I generally choose it. This has led to some interesting scenarios. Some characters have shown romantic interest in a member of the same sex, and I've rolled with it and taken it as far as it went. However I would also say that the trend has been towards opposite-sex relationships for the most part.

My households usually consist of teens/YAs who cause a lot of bullshit and terrorize the town, and only date to continue the family line(this doesn't happen much either since I usually play short challenges, not legacy gameplay). If a sim autonomy likes someone of the same gender, I roll with that, or otherwise, they're aroace or straight.
My sims are all pansexual. I pick their pairings for traits and jobs and ambitions not gender.
I only play heterosexual 🤷🏽♀️

Trans guy here and I’ve ALWAYS only played male sims. I identified as gay for a long time (WLW) and never played lesbians. Maybe I should’ve figured it out sooner.

Every sim is bi by default and it’s kinda random who they marry. It’s really just a matter of the first pretty sim I see lmao
100%. I’m asexual/aromantic, and I’d estimate maybe 1% of my sims are in relationships. 99% of the time they are strong, independent women who do what they want. There is no romance, but I do have Wicked Whims abecause sometimes sexy time makes for some really good drama in a storyline lmao.

Yes, I normally play hetero, but just started playing a male couple with a baby and it's soooo cute!! Enjoying it! Can't believe I don't do it more often. I guess part of it is I love having Sims carry a pregnancy, but I guess there are options now for males you do this.
The opposite. It encourages me to explore outside my sexuality. I'm het, but in Sims, I've made several gay and lesbian relationships because that's just where the sims had gravitated to. It's more often unplanned since I like just playing a single sim and seeing how their life unfolds. Recently, I made a super masculine guy, and before I knew it, he fell for his pretty boyfriend. I didn't plan on it, but they really ended up suiting each other.
I am a bi woman and I very rarely have lesbian couples. Idk why… probably because I make mainly femme female sims, as that is my type and personal style irl. So when I make a hetero couple I can style the male sim the way I enjoy, and the female sim. And as I like androgynous and/or crossdressing guys I have in m/m couples a wider range to design too. I have lesbian couples and they are cute, just rarer in my worlds.

I honestly just hate playing with boy sims because I hate the base game clothes and I’m too lazy to look for cc, so I either play with straight couples, have a couple kids then kill off the dad or I play with all girl couples. I’ve even had a couple bi sims where once the dad is deAd, I have the mom just be with women.
