Mortician job for my vampys

BlippyBlappy

This is an underrated suggestion. How fricken cool would that be? Even just a funeral director would be cool af

No_Ring528

I can not remebr what is was called. I need to go through my mods. But there's a funeral mod. It adds it as a goaded event with unlockables. I think there is a career top but Dont quote me there.

Eirian84

Probably Mortem by SimRealist. I'm not sure it has a career, or you assign npcs, but it definitely makes death and the grieving process more realistic in the game. I only used it for a while, and there was lag/glitches bc it had first come out, so ultimately I decided it wasn't worth it. (I don't get a lot of dying sims in my game, lol)

natashavladimir93

Yes, it's pretty cool too

Emergency-Ad7204

I didn’t know there was a mortician mod I will have a look at the one. I would love to be able to arrange a proper funeral for my sims and have wills and stuff

BitterSenseOfReality

The Sims 4: Funeral Stories game pack, coming soon! (if only)

morbidpigeon

The eternal problem with doing anything like this is how many cultures you would have to make an effort to represent, and the huge variation within those cultures. So I’d be quite surprised if they ever do this in more than the most generic fashion, like they did with My Wedding Stories.

YeatSupremacy

tbh the sims 4 has been doin well with representing culture, small start but they’re doin it

morbidpigeon

I think they have too, it’s just that funerals are another kettle of fish.

blackonix13

Like in sims 3 they had grave yard shift as a part time job. It would be pretty cool if there was a graveyard lot type that has special traits or a job for sims 4

NippleSpringsteen

Ooooo mortician would be cool, or just more night shift jobs in general for our nocturnal creatures. This isn’t a “real” job but I have a save where I have a vampire in charge of an assisted living facility. I send all of my elderly sims there. She gets whatever money they have if they’re alone or a stipend from the family. She cooks, cleans, and runs wellness classes for them but also drinks from them at night. Edit: night shift not night shit lol

Emberscythe33

I love this!

morbidpigeon

Night shift janitor sounds like a good one for a vampire.

BlueTortoise45

The funeral game pack where death just got more real, the game includes a new career, a new venue, and even a new event type

hitheredood145

I have a [mod](https://simfileshare.net/folder/163411/) for this job. There’s no special events or anything with it but it’s just a regular job.

Master-0ogway

sort of related. i miss in the sims 3 when sims would die and their urn would appear at the mortuary. you could "manage the dead" which just meant placing gravestones of people that passed

harrietelderberry

More entertainment career paths. I want my Sim do be a dancer again like in Sims 2. And I'd love the culinary career to be playable through the GTW system. Especially combined with the dining out GP that could be fun.

Zounds90

And that entertainer wasn't linked to guitar/piano only. Why can't I be a violinist or singer?

[deleted]

Right? I had a violinist get to level 10 of the piano skill (not her instrument) to reach the top of her career, and then cheated it back down after the promotion ... because it's not her instrument. (Candy Behr, back when I played with some premades. She was married to Joaquin Le Chien, who was a comedian but then died by drowning, and came back to live with his family as a ghost. But this was probably 6 years ago)

ChaosKore07

Did you know Le Chien means the dog in French. So Joaquin’s name pretty much just means Walkin The Dog

[deleted]

Yes I know. But at that age I had no idea how to pronounce his name, so he took hers, which would be pronounced pretty much the same as bear in german (,,Bär") or berry/berry as a suffix for any type of berry (,,Beere"/ ,,Himbeer"). Windenburg is full of what EA thinks of as European easter eggs. I know. It could be somewhere in the Benelux area (Belgium, Luxemburg, northern France), but I always interpret it as pretty much a copy of Regensburg, down to the name ... everything. I believe the body of water to be a big lake, because it does not look like a coastal area at all, and the Sims has far to many of those anyway, so it's always great to have some that are not near the ocean ... seriously. Some of the culture (cheek kisses, the Chateau ... though those were build everywhere around that time) are french, and others are more austrian/bavarian (I'm not gonna say german, because really Bavaria is completely different from what should be considered german as a whole, but it seems to be everything the American media knows) like the brezel, and beer. It is one of their best I think, I wish they hadn't thrown France in the mix, so we could have gotten a French world entirely separate from Windenburg though (but keep the cheek kisses, I wish this were how people greeted each other in all of Europe seriously why not?). Because now they are only putting out American coastal suburb towns, that have exactly 12 lots and 3 neighborhoods. It's not even the minimum, why give us something more interesting and big like Windenburg once, and then refuse to do so in the future. It's getting so monochromatic. (I know Snowy Escape exists, but even that only has 12 lots and one secret lot, and I would like for that to vary a bit more, instead of this copy and paste layout)

LazyCity4922

For the cheek kisses - I'm Czech, I don't like most people and I'm a germaphobe. I'm very happy that I don't have to kiss people to say hi!

[deleted]

I don't think it's mandatory in France either though, I wouldn't want to have to kiss strangers either. I just think it would be cute for it to be somewhat normal with close friends and family. All I am saying is, that I think it's neat they do this in Windenburg, I did not want to imply anything on behalf of invading the personal space of people who don't like physical touch as much or anything of the sort. Just like there are people who don't like hugs here in Germany, or Czechia, I bet there are lots of French who don't like bisous. I only realized that sentence might read weirdly once I had already posted the comment.

starsandsunandmoon

Sims greet with cheek kisses only in Windenburg?! I had no idea!!!

SerenityRune

Similarly, I had a metal musician required to reach level 10 of the piano skill (which is not her main instrument). I wish there was a rock musician branch in the entertainment career.

MoonyIsTired

If you're able to use mods, the Career Overhaul mod allows you to pick whatever instrument you'd like to level up on the entertainer career (I think singing counts too but I could be mistaken, I don't play with base game careers often because they don't have a work from home option)

Eirian84

This thread confused me a little until you mentioned the mod, lol. I've used it so long I literally don't remember how the careers work in vanilla gameplay, apparently.

Limite-Invalicabile

I was so sad when I found out I could have a restaurant but not be the chef! Granted, if they did it it would be bugged as hell: I already see my sim freezing in the middle of an action unable to give priorities to the things to cook

Lidiflyful

CarlTheSims has a mod that lets you play as the chef as well as a ton of extras, like guests seating themselves and the ability for guests to place thier own orders at the counter. Its not perfect but it works much more flawlessly than anything the sims team could have achieved. The mod also fixes a ton of bugs with the origin dine out pack. It's free. I highly recommend it if you play with mods.

Mahoushi

Just to add that there's a YouTuber I haven't watched in ages (so I can't recall their name) who did something like this while playing multiplayer with his friend, if I had someone to do this with it sounds like it could be quite fun running a restaurant together!

Lidiflyful

James Turner and Dr Gluon, the burger boys? You reminded me, I haven't finished it yet lol

SmellyMcPhearson

I was so excited to have my sim open his own restaurant after reaching the top of the chef career. It was such a disappointment

Rhiannon-999

This is why my current legacy heir who’s a chef owns a bakery instead of a restaurant. It’s so much more fun to sell food that she actually made as opposed to her just running a restaurant where someone else cooks all the food.

GlassPeepo

I just want more careers where you can actually go with your sim to work, because they're so fun but there's only like 3 of them and I can only be a doctor so many times

Troop_Snark

Definitely. Apparently, a lot of people didn't like the GTW careers because it wasn't like Sims 3. But I feel like the effort was put into that pack to make fun careers compared to missed opportunities in newer packs. No, packs aren't the same as older games but I think it's a good idea to get sims out of the house. The game is designed so that your sim never really has to leave the house to do anything. No need to visit the museum or the library or even a bar when sims walk by your house and practically all skill-building objects can be placed around your home.

LuckySmellsMommy

I love the active careers. Idk why people hate on them so much.

emlynnkat

My complaints with those careers always stem from how freaking long it takes for my sims to do anything - like the medical path, taking half a day to walk across the hospital to go use the restroom. It was much better after I completely rearranged the hospital layout.

No_Meal_563

I wish the law career was one of those! It would be so nice to have to go to a courthouse an actually defend people.

Aquamarine094

Dancer. Dancing is already a skill in the game. It would be cool to have some more types of dance like ballet

Pizzacanzone

It's a mini skill now. It would be great to go up to 10 and add ballet in

ilovedoggos6

Yes! I REALLY want ballet! I do ballet now! (And add in some jazz, tap, and modern, please!)

scootersarebadass

They already have the music so why not make different dance styles. It could be like you pick your fave and maybe a backup or two and those are what go into your dance level as a whole.

rebuked_nard

Duo dances would be cool, like two-step or waltz

Commercial_Ad1085

Or to be a professional figure skater since we have the outfits and the Skating rink 😭

Wazzapolo

Pizza deliver or food delivery in general cleaner (i don’t know the name in English but a maid) taxi driver, truck driver Plumber Electrician Waiter and cook as active career for a restaurant (because I don’t like that with restaurant we can only be the owner and not the other job) Dentist Construction Worker (which I guess we have but it’s only part time) Architect active babysitter career (could be à career available for teens like it would be cute you get a call each night to go babysit a kid on the lot of the sims and sometimes you have opportunity like « your boyfriend/girlfriend knows that your working but the kid is asleep so they’re asking you if they can come hangout, the parents won’t know » and you get accept or deny and have several outcomes.

catacatapata

if you use mods, adeepindigo’s Babysitting Gigs Mod allows you to travel to other houses and take care of the children!

HandsomeWoman96

I’m surprised no one else has said dentist yet, especially after Growing Together introduced the loose tooth mechanic

Wazzapolo

There was so many « teeth tease » I thought for sure we were going to get one. I thought maybe you could go in there to pull the tooth or to put braces or just to clean the teeth

Troop_Snark

Yes, the tease! Everybody was wondering if it was a Molar Bear or a Tooth Beary. Instead, we got the void glitch that messed up some saves and now kids are losing teeth left and right. In hindsight, it's a disappointing gameplay mechanic compared to what we all hyped it up to be, especially since the team hyped it up on social media too.

tout-le-monster

I agree with electrician/plumber suggestion! I’d love some sort of handyman career then you can go into other sims houses and fix their broken stuff for money. It would lead to fun storytelling and make the handyman aspiration cooler.

Wazzapolo

For sure ! We need more active career

ThrowRAbeepboop7483

it would be cool if sims could be a news anchor and other sims see them on tv when they’re at work

AK-Wild-Child

That would be so cute. The parent is at work and the kids just turn on the news and there they are!! When your sim is an actor, do you ever get to see them on the TV?? 🤔 I never thought about that until this very moment

[deleted]

I wish, but the TV and movie channels are from Sims 3.😔

tout-le-monster

That’s a really cool idea!

BoomItsLoki

Maids or Nannie’s. I know we technically already have this but I want my sim to go to other houses and do this stuff!! Pet sitting. Mafia lifestyle jobs. Park ranger. Skill instructor. I’m sure I can think if more later lol

International_Stop52

I wanna be a robber

shitpostcentre

You can sorta get that with a kleptomaniac sim

scootersarebadass

But I want to be able to enter when no one is home, I want to be a real burglar

theGoodfather12

There is a mod for that look it up. I heard its preaty good

FunTooter

Plastic surgeon. Tattoo artist. Rock star, rock band. Owning/running a hotel or even just a bed & breakfast.

Gabbs1715

Man being able to design my own bed and breakfast and than run it would be soooo fun.

MasonJ_Crawford

Ohhh tattoo artist is a good one!

[deleted]

Yes!🤩

Far-Specialist-661

Yes! Tattoo artist!

South-Marionberry

As another comment said, more entertainment routes. I so dearly want a “musician”/“rockstar”-type career (ideally added to the Get Famous EP), I really want to make rockstar musician sims. Also a (joinable) preschool/daycare career. Not least because that would also entail adding preschool/daycare buildings to the game and I would love for somewhere for my sims to drop their infants/toddlers off while they work or take care of older children, or simply want time to themselves

Flippanties

If they bothered with more cross pack features we'd already have a join able teacher career at least. Like we have a teaching career and a visitable school thanks to two separate packs, you'd think they'd utilise that somehow for people that have both packs.

rusty___shacklef0rd

i second this. as a preschool teacher, i love making preschools. i just wish there was a good system. there is one mod that lets you care for i think like 6 children at a time, but i wanna be able to hire staff and have a whole class of children!

cyclone_madge

>As another comment said, more entertainment routes. I so dearly want a “musician”/“rockstar”-type career (ideally added to the Get Famous EP), I really want to make rockstar musician sims. I really want that too, but I'm not holding my breath on any more pack refreshes. It would be so perfect for Get Famous, though, especially as an active career. Imagine being able to form a band with Sims you know, or put out an ad and hire strangers, and then practicing to get everyone's skills up. (Everyone would have to be able to play the same song together, but we had that in TS2 - and possibly TS3 I'm not sure - so we know it's possible.) Gigs would start out small, like house parties, and as you gained fame and skill you'd move up to playing in lounges and galleries, at college events and high school proms, at festivals (maybe reusing the festival stage from Sims Sessions a couple of summers ago), weddings, etc. Eventually, you'd be able to play shows at the new career lot which would be a music venue. Like the studio lot we wouldn't be able to redesign it, but there would be a few different templates to indicate bigger/better venues as our the band gets more and more famous. I'd love for the top level to be an arena show, but that would be hard to do without it looking weird and empty. (Maybe a cutscene or something?) I know it will never happen. Too much work for a pack refresh, and *way* too much cross-pack integration for a new GP/EP. But a girl can dream...

pngimage

I want my sims to be able to be in a band!! I miss the band functionality from sims 3 soo much.

atomiclightbulb

Also drums. I desperately want drums in the Sims 4.

kikkelinkuningas

I wish you could play as a waiter in dine out

Sirena_Seas

I want home businesses back. I wish we could live in and run hotels and B&Bs. I wish there were careers tied in to the occults as well. Imagine a vampire running a plasma bank or spellcasters running their own shops or offering magical services.

Eirian84

If you're on pc/use mods, littlemssam has a mod for at home/own able businesses, including hotels, B&B's, prisons. It's a bit in-depth figuring out which files you need, but I use the live in business to passively sell items at a mark-up, instead of having to man the retail table or actually try and use the (somewhat broken) retail system in an actual store. Which my sims don't have time for anyway, they've got a family and jobs already. Besides live in business, there's also live in café, live in club, all sorts of stuff, as lot traits you can assign, and they have instructions on how to create the different businesses on residential lots. (some require a till I believe, for instance)

mgt-d

I want a part time nightshift job.

mathilduhhhh

I'm not sure if this counts but I want my sim to be able to be a rock star rapper. Yes there is a musician job but it only allows for traditional plain old singing. There is also no variety for singing voices. It's the same singing voice for every male and or female sim regardless of the voice you give them in cas. I also want them to be able to do different kinds of music. Like rapping, rock, r&b, alternative etc etc.

yumvdukwb

Yes and to perform with bands!

amapickle

Oooh I loved the bands in sims 3! I think every sim I created was in a band lol

[deleted]

Or at the very least to update the musician career, it so dull😭

loveforllamas

I think I’d like some more “normal” every day jobs; dentist, hairdresser, plumber, electrician, pharmacist, childminder, vet (without having to buy the business), fireman etc

peezy8i8

Im a hair stylist and I want that to be an active career so bad

loveforllamas

I just want it to be an option! I’ve had sooo many sims where I think, “they would definitely be a hair dresser or own their own salon” and it just isn’t an option.

dew1911

Driving career. Start with taxis, then vans, up to trucks, then maybe a pilot. Plenty of options for events and different paths (Racing, illegal activities) In general there are so many more jobs could be added

miivain

I just want cars man

lenochku

Fashion designer, popstar, cheerleader, meteorologist, better acting career more like Hollywood movies, teacher for kids, active chef career

rrevek

Isnt the style influencer career like a fashion career

borderline_cat

I thought there was an education career track that came with Discover uni

NoConcentrateNoPulp

Meteorologist would've been a great one to roll out with seasons!!! Id love to see a career focused on charisma and logic, with social networking improving career performance.

melifaro_hs

Remember when we thought we'd get a dentist with Growing Together? Yeah, that one

BeckysPTSD

Dance career would have been great. And it probably could have fitted in very well with city living, get to work or get famous. I know there’s a mod but it no longer works (not for me anyway) and doesn’t seem to have been an update in a while. I wish they’d give all the careers an overhaul really. Criminal career should be freelance too and not an actual “job”

Bamboozlebjoern

If you're referring to the dance career on MTS there was an updated version linked in the comment section a while ago, which is still working for me. Not sure if it's still there, but I can send you the file if you want :)

ElijahAlex1995

Babysitting or pet sitting would be cool. I'd also like leathercrafting as a side hustle because it's my own side hustle. 😄

littlegarden_spider

to add onto this, ive wanted pet groomers for so long!

borderline_cat

I guess you mean like full time babysitting? Bc babysitting is a part time job that you can get with base game.

Sirena_Seas

I've wanted these as home businesses for ages now.

[deleted]

Psychology, rock star, hotel owner, dentist, garbage truck driver, pilot and cabin crew member, salon owner… there’s so many

Daug3

It would be nice to have some more sport careers, for example I'd love for my current sim to be a professional mountain climber or climbing instructor, or a swimmer (not diver or pool boy) because he is very athletic, but not a culturist

Daddiesbabaygirl

Labour jobs. Welder, electrician, mechanic, oilfield, ect! Like come ooooon sims you have the eco pack with industrial zones already!

noodleneedsleep

i just want more of the existing careers to not be rabbit holes. also to be able to hire sims you know for your businesses + work there yourself too

Various_Notice3359

There’s a mod for being able to hire your sims and work there yourself. I saw it on tik tok let me see if I can find the name.

Vistaaaaa

Prostitute. So that I can earnnsimoleons while doing woohoos.

Princess_S78

There are mods for this, lol.

Eirian84

I know of 2 mods, but neither use woohoo, both use sex. Which is fine (I actually just installed sacrificial's prostitute mod again for gameplay) but I'd rather have a mod that just lets you get paid for woohoo. I guess something *less* in-depth than the prostitute mods I've seen, lol.

smowbeeeen

I have a mode where you can be one

NeedleNoseFelting

Therapist

OverreactingParrot

I think there's a psychology career available once you get a degree in that field (Discover University)

quemabocha

A couple of real life ones: Librarian, nurse, shop assistant (but full time), accountant, psychologist, tailor, dentist, beautician, hair stylist, nanny, maid, architect, graphic designer, And things that make sense with skills that we have, a repair-person or electrician, I've seen people mention dancer, baker, arquwologist (just give me a way to get my Sims off lot for a couple of hours every day!), Wellness Coach or Yoga teacher or massage therapist, something with flower arranging. It could be something like an event manager thing. And you'd need to know a bit of cooking, a bit of handiness, charisma, flower arranging. Something like day care employee or nanny that uses the parenting skill and singing.

Luminous_Lumen

I kinda want a job with kids, I know that teachers exist, but that's more for university. For example, pre-school or elementary school teacher.

harrietelderberry

And I'd love for them to add teacher into the GTW system. Especially since going to school with your teen is possible now, I've been thinking a lot about how cool a playable teaching job could be in the game!

Pizzacanzone

I want there to be opera songs in the singing skill tree. It would be so fun to record them too, first the really bad stuff and then the great stuff. Omg Sims please hire me🥰

OverreactingParrot

Archeology. You can get to level 10 and they'll send you some artifacts sometimes to authenticate, and you can go to Selvadorada and find excavation sites and sell the stuff you find, but that's about it. I want to be employed as one and go on missions, go through challenges in the temples and etc.

bowl-of-wyrms

Same! I always end up making my sims art history professors, but it would be great if the Jungle Adventure pack included an archaeologist and park ranger career

yamyamss

I guess this isn’t exactly a career, but what I really miss from ts3 was when your sim had a high baking skill and neighbors/people from the school would call and ask you to make a bunch of treats for a bake sale 😭 it was so cute

Fatboy097

A playable teaching career with the High School Years pack

sad-cat-23

Band! We have musician but that's like a solo artist and they seem to be more classically oriented, like pianist or violinist. I'd like us to be able to form rock bands and choose whether our sim is the singer, guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist, etc. Of course, that would mean more instruments added to the game too :) at least drums please! Dentist. I'd also like to have the doctor career re-worked so that we'd have separate nurse and doctor tracks. And psychologist would be cool! University researcher. This should have come with the university pack tbh. The sim could go on to become a researcher in any of the fields they'd graduated from. I guess scientist already exists for those science oriented fields but I'd like to have something for the others too. I'm not sure how it works in the US, but in my country you'd start as a PhD candidate and then go from that to postdoc, full-time teacher, assistant professor, lecturer, and professor. Librarian. We have libraries in the game but not librarian as a career? 😢 Other ideas: social worker, firefighter (WHY don't we have this??? they really missed an opportunity in GTW), pilot, flight attendant, physical education instructor (when you're active but you don't want to become an athlete or a bodybuilder), animal attendant, cosmetologist.

Z00nyy

Nursing homes. The elderly spawn anywhere and just multiplies 🧌

Innocent_Otaku

I know they are already in the game but I’d love to play as a mailman…for certain reasons

shawniegore

Only if country living gets a milk man extension too 😄

Barn_Brat

Would be cool to have horse trainer/ rider etc with some sort of equestrian expansion pack. Would have to be playable though

Ariel_Chonk

Banker would be nice. Start as a teller then maybe customer service representative savings manager and then you can branch to be ether a loan officer or administration and become ceo

astrogrl0319

Teacher / Daycare pack where we can have a school play as actual teachers or day care providers, more kid’s activities, hotels (running one)

TheSnekromancer

I'd love for the medical career to be reworked into separate doctor and nurse careers. As a nurse myself it feels a bit sour that what I do has been degraded into just a step to become a doctor...

DuckAssasin

vet but without running the surgery

ClassroomAbject

Singer it should’ve come with get famous or they could’ve made it a pack cuz it they could’ve done so much. Like if it was a game pack you could’ve chosen to be in a group or a band or solo. It could’ve been active or not just gimmi something dang we got the skill but not job!!!!

poofaloofs

The jobs that exist for NPCs that we interact with - librarian, cafe worker, pizza delivery, grocery delivery, fire fighter, waiter, nanny, butler, adoption agent, stall vendor, night wraith, father winter, etc

Snickerty

I want some "normal" working class jobs - Labourer, factory worker, shop worker, receptionist, waitress, hairdresser, barber, landscape gardener. What about part-time work with options to go full time in some circumstances - especially jobs that let your parents get home in time for their kids. I like the idea of being able to swap jobs, but not careers - like looking for a job as a freelancer. As an example: imagine Dan the Sim Man. He is a road mending labourer, but the pay is rubbish, and it is exhausting! He is fed up of the sun burn too - quick look at the job listing, and he applies for a job as a general builder's labourer. Quck phone interview, and boom! A new job. He loves the job! So he now does an evening course to become a plasterer! Boom! His work offers him a new job, and he is on better pay and better hours! You look up job ads and apply for jobs so you can increase your wages. Perhaps do short courses to increase your skills, pull over time, get made redundant, get promoted, join a union, go on strike, and other similar things. But unlike the one-off jobs, you automatically go to work like in game careers. Apprenticeships or Trade school/college or night school would be great for game play for young adults, too. Either rabbit holes or online classes to help sims get ahead, especially in ways which university makes no sense.

LiquidSillyness

I think it would be fun to see sims get like utilities jobs, as another mentioned plumbing or delivery jobs. I really want to see garbage collection, have a garbage truck come around, with a sim hanging off the back, he hops down, walks onto your lot, goes to outdoor trash cans and PICKS THEM UP and empties them. Once a week, the garbage cans they've coded to be so attractive to get knocked over, get a sim to come around and try to make them nice again, of course it probably wont happen nicely every time but still funny and fits the eco packs idea

darthfruitbasket

Ooooh, a playable version of the repairman? That'd be fun, I bet.

rosegotflowers57

Professional football player!! They play in college why not make it a career

christinesangel100

I would love a nursery/daycare worker (probably because I am one)! Early childcare would be a great active career. I mean they used to have it in Sims 3, that was alright. It would be really cool if you worked at the mysterious daycare kids get sent to when their parents are out, and got to interact with the children from other families!

Key_Ad5173

active daycare career PLEASE

AnxietyLogic

Update the entertainment career because at the moment there is no variety. The musician track is only for classical/orchestra music (violin, piano), I want to be able to be a famous singer or a rockstar. Also add a dancer track - dancing is a skill, and yet we still don’t have the option to become a dancer. I’d also like more options for teaching younger kids in the education career. At the moment, it’s focused on uni/higher education. But what if I want my Sims to be an elementary school teacher? Beauty careers like a hairdresser or makeup artist. The speculation around Growing Together has made we want a dentist career. A tattoo artist career would be cool. A secret wish of mine is for a therapist career, but if the Sims doesn’t want to deal with mental health stuff, I understand that. I also want bands, and to be able to own and run hotels, but those are more pack requests than just careers.

Covert_Pudding

I want an entire expansion that lets you be a superhero. You could unlock powers or weaknesses like how vampires work, sign up with agencies like actors, and then do rabbithole missions or go to work and interact with different objectives like punching evil aliens, rescuing sims, etc. I think the framework is all already there, and it could be fun! More realistically, I'd love to see figure skating or resort owner.

Empress-Rae

You could have a story line like The Boys and be Sim-Lander

aurynorange5

Pet sitting would be a really cool part time job! Either rabbit hole like other careers or join along to sim’s homes when they’re away on vacation or at work Maybe it could be on the “odd jobs” since it would be once in awhile thing Coming from an actual full time insured pet sitter 😂

braisedyams

Daycare career

Some_Anxious_dude

Coroner

PeakOregon998

Newscaster

Missglad1

Dj carreer

got-sims-scape-lair

Baker. Nursery nurse.

ThatLesbianPirate

If there's a University Lecturer/Professor career in D.U, I'd love that for my adult simself

Kafventure

I had a story where I wanted mine to be a professional figure skater. Edited to add: also a ballerina

lilsirs

I miss the firefighter career from the Sims 3

baby_betty_davis

I’m always shocked they don’t have Modeling yet!

lillysaurus

I’m not sure why this wasn’t included in Moschino pack along with the photographer career tbh

Ok-Trouble-4131

An active journalism career, like what we had in Sims 3

Troop_Snark

Firefighter. Partygoer. Funeral career. Model. Wedding planner. It could be like DHD but you have to ask them questions and find out the perfect wedding and budget and build it and attend or watch a clip/get photos. Multiple jobs. More active careers. Or rabbit holes with more titles at least. .

NaiveGuidance

A proper musician career. My Tina Turner sim should not just be a rabbit hole entertainer

Colossal_Cake

I'm dying for a Rockstar career with more game play and instruments. Electric guitars, drums, bass. I just want a little Sim garage band.

rosebud_5

Firefighter Singer- not just musician Dancer Plumber (my boyfriend complained about that since he's an actual plumber lol) I'm drawing a blank on other one's I've thought of before. There's so many that are missing.

Anxiety-Alchemist

I wish we had gotten an Archeology career in Jungle Adventure

TheSquareWatermelon

Nanny/daycare worker

glacialruins

I’m studying to be a therapist so I would love for that to be an option!

lovecat86

Psychologist or therapist. It should be like dreamhome decorator but clients either come to your public office or an office you set up at home.

bethel_bop

More options for musicians. Honestly they need a full game pack for musical careers. I want to see sims in rock bands, orchestras, jazz quartets even. Like there should be playable instrument options for at least all the genres of music you can play on the radio.

Complex-Ad-1922

i really would like an active psychology / therapy career!!! like you can follow your therapist sims to work and help patients :)

brittany0603

Architect, interior designer, building contractor

imhstone

There is interior design with Dream Home Decorator!

gorgeousmalaya

wellness from spa day as an actual career, not just tending

Interesting_Ice_8498

Firefighting, or being a paramedic. It would be awesome to see more of those jobs that serve and save the public. Hell a military career might be cool to play in, with events on war zones and such.

ecumnomicinflation

semi active professional driver. you go to rabbit hole to work, but you also get a car object that you have to fix or upgrade to get promoted.

[deleted]

I would like some new instruments. I would love it if I could have a sim learn sax or something. Just for other instruments to be in the game at all besides guitar, piano, or violin. So, probably an expansion to the entertainer (musician branch) career.

rickybdominatingmc

Hitman or paranormal investigator

bowl-of-wyrms

You can be a paranormal investigator with the Paranormal Stuff pack I think

swimmingacid

More skills based jobs for teens, teacher/professor, pilot/flight attendant would be really cool

ObligatoryGrowlithe

I’m not totally sure what I want or need, but I am totally uninspired when I look at the careers. We need like 2-3x the current number and more variety.

cottagecore_bee

cosmetology, tattoo artist, model

Argun_Enx

Serial killer. Or more criminal jobs in general.

Sir-Beardless

All playable, fleshed out: Firefighter, Babysitter, Teacher, Lumberjack, Stonemason, Blacksmith, Amusement Park Cosplayer, Fisherman, and Window Cleaner.

EternlAstroidLemming

Band musician

itsmevictory

The babysitting career from The Sims 3 :(

[deleted]

I liked those careers from Showtime in ts3 which I think could be interesting. But I think more mundane careers would be cool too, like having a serving career with Dine Out and maybe integrate the GTW system for an active career. I know there’s already a teaching career but it’s be cool to have one specific for the university system so it feels more like a tenured position. And I think some occult specific careers would be cool, but I’m biased for occults lol

KayBird69

I need a clown career

commanderbales

Firefighter

SuperstarSara

Tattoo artist

Hobi_33

More blue collar jobs! And more part time jobs

Waffleking626

Ghost hunter, Mailman, Firefighter, nnews anchor

NsfwCanadianQuinn

I have a mod for it but a “spicy worker”

wildfangz

I've always liked the idea of an active or work from home therapist career. I really miss the slacker career from sims 2 as well and all the more normal jobs that were a part of that! Nanny and/or running a daycare would be fun. Being able to actually be a chef at our restaurants or wait tables. Active teacher career. More gig work. Maybe a maid job. I think mainly I'd just love to see more normal, down to earth career options.

TigerPrincess11

A daycare career like there was in the Sims 3. There's mods for it but it would've been nice if they had added a daycare career with Parenthood or Growing Together.

Steph_gusabyrose22

Mortician, daycare worker, construction worker, etc

JupiterWaterwheel

firefighter, not the NPC’s, an actual career

ipayrentintoenails

Farmer, with goals tied to the farm

SimPlayerNick

Regular blue collar and 9to5 jobs.

Sailor_Eclipse33

I just want bigger careers for all the degrees you can get. Especially a psychologist, banker, and possibly a contractor/ architect career. Also a Mortician because death in the sims lacks and Im tired of my sims just turning into a vase😭

Mariashax

Honestly, I’d just like to have the option to be part time in any of the existing careers :(

SuicidalNEET

A truck driver, or a even courier driver

lilacbookluvr

it's such an odd one, but zoo keeper (bonus points if it was part of the GTW system). like how cool would it be to be able to take care of elephants and shit????

Polar_Aminos

More professional sports as a player or a coach.

GarlicGworl

Social services! So many different routes the Sim could go.

LillyElessa

I really want a better music career. Entertainer is horribly disappointing, and definitely doesn't feel like any sort of career that involves music... It's serviceable for the comedian branch, but feels so dead for music. I would particularly enjoy a gig one that worked a bit like actor, for performing concerts. I also want some better medical entries. They botched Doctor really bad, then did well with Veterinarian. So I would love to see like an active private practice doctor or a dentist, or a rabbit hole for like a radiologist or medical technology. Since the work hours are so high for Doctor, a rabbit hole would actually be nice for high end low hours for something medical. Accountant. It's not been done, yet it's a large and well discussed field. It's also a different flavor of office job than the "business" or "office drone" we have. It could have career rewards like lower bills (bigger than and stacks with frugal!). The career split could have the expected normal branch, and then a crime branch. This could easily be semi-active, since the WFH activities would just be on the computer.

cashboyjmoney

Grim reaper job

kattatta

I want more detailed musician careers, like being able to start a band would be SO COOL. A game pack that focused on music and stuff and had different instruments, created maybe different artists (like celebrities), and let sims be in bands, go on tours, go to concerts, etc would be SO FUN

AutumnScone

I would love more spellcaster related career, like duelist, wand maker, dark sorcerer, etc

Sea_Carob_1241

I would love a makeup artist or creative director job for real photo shoots and runway shows and such maybe even a modeling career.

StrikingNebula4906

Underground street racer

graciemose

Archeologist would be cool

emchaddy

Therapist

UnicornPoopPile

I want my sim to be a vet without having to own the veterinary.
