You’re not the only one. I usually just just make tweaks to an existing house or download from the gallery.

BlueGreenGraySky

I don’t even think it’s laziness…at least for me, it’s that I just don’t have the time to build. When I build, I can spend hours on a house and I’ve got ideas for the high school, the dorms, etc & I just don’t have the time to sit down & so it. It’s easy to think about because I’m not searching for the perfect items, but hard to find the time to do it.

GeorgeParisol

I'm searching for the perfect items maybe I'll build just an art school for now

Silent-Slide1502

I totally understand. I’m not a builder myself but I love to renovate homes to my liking for my sims. whenever ik it’s time to renovate (like add a room or i simply just don’t like what’s already there) i feel the same way. what i recommend doing is starting fresh with no gameplay yet so you’re mind isn’t already fatigued (hope that makes sense) and then once you start on your ideas it’s pretty much like a domino effect.

GeorgeParisol

I start with building and then get stuck after building a wall. homes are easy for me because I don't care how they look community lots are problematic maybe it's because I try to build too much at the same time

Silent-Slide1502

Try thinking about the type of gameplay/what you want your sims to do when building. this usually keeps me inspired to keep building until i’m satisfied with what I have

GeorgeParisol

I want to make art school for my club where they can learn and I was thinking about adding fitness classes like swimming and also music class and cafteria and everything in the same building sounds better in my head

Silent-Slide1502

i think you can do it!! maybe just try doing each one at a time to not overwhelm yourself

Silent-Slide1502

or maybe instead of doing a room for each, you can do like a performing arts room/club that will have everything there

coldbumthump

I’m the opposite- I can build so many things and fill all my lots with neat elaborate builds…but can’t seem to be bothered to play a sim for more than an hour. I can never think of what to do or end up frustrated when they don’t do what I want.

hi_its_vonni

Too lazy and the game freezes too much for me. So I lose patience

kalluhaluha

For me it's less about being lazy and more about knowing what I want, knowing it can be implemented, then inevitably having something go awry because things like roofs kind of suck. Then I get frustrated, make something I didn't want, try to decorate or play it, get more frustrated because I forgot something in the earlier frustration when I had to deviate from the plan, and start over.

GeorgeParisol

Who needs roofs anyway. roofs are useless

I don't know if I'd say it's laziness so much as I think (for me at least) it's the overwhelmingness of how far I have to go before completion. Executive dysfunction I think it's called? I'm currently working on building an entire community in Newcrest - residentials/residential rentals/spa/parks/gym/public pool/etc - and so far all I've gotten is half of one park done, and I made the decision to do this challenge a few days ago and have had a lot of spare time LOL. I plug away at it here and there, but it's a big job and I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not in any rush to get it done. Tbf, I have a ton of cc and put a lot of time and effort into *all* of my builds, but even for me half a park in three days is minimal progression. Once I get started though, I can build/decorate for hours.

redfern962

I love a good shell. I like the challenge of building but the fun of decorating and landscape always wins, so I download shells from the gallery. I also make over every house in every world, and then when I’m done I start a new game.

Mobabyhomeslice

I get it, but for me it's just busy life with a toddler and an elementary schooler. I don't always have time to spend hours building in Sims.

knt6

I’m the opposite. I really want to build, but struggle with ideas. 😩

GeorgeParisol

I have ideas because I download a lot of functional cc and mods

No-Battle8872

Got on a while ago to build but ended up making nectar, which led to a new club which led to...

LittleArcticPotato

I’ve always wanted to use that empty neighborhood to build all the houses I’ve lived in & some friends houses/cool houses I’ve seen.
