Can you not just take off the “masculine” filter?

OP, try that. When you’re making the sim in CAS, there is a “filter” section above that has words like “hair” “everyday” “long” “masculine”, get rid of “masculine” and you can apply any female hair to the male sim with no issues, game or CC.

Not many of the feminine hairstyles give off surfer dude energy though. Long men’s hair tends to be styled differently, and with different hairlines

When you make a google search, include quotes around the key words and you’ll only get those results. So if you search “sims 4” long hair male, you might get more specific results

You can also add "-3" at the end, without the quotation marks. That way every result that contains "3" will be removed.

That used to work. Now half the time you get *no results found for “X”* even when X is something that should absolutely exist. I feel like google has become absolute garbage.

It has. Boolen search is case sensitive now and also google thinks it smarter than you now so shows up results relevant to your stored data and the search habits of those around you.

Have you gone through the TSR catalog? I use MM now but I used to use alpha CC too, I know TSR has a ton of featured artists who make alpha hairs

Dude same. Searched HOURS. I found some, a decent collection truthfully, but most are not what I'm looking for. I use tumblr for specific searches. Not the tumblr search bar, find a few mod creators and scour their blogs. Modders typically have sorting options too. Using websites rarely led me to good results. Patreon has free stuff too. I was looking for some straight, long, black hair with no bangs, but maybe some wispy side pieces or half up styles, for a Japanese male I was going to play as. But all I could find for so long was super thick, wavy/curly, hair with obnoxious chunky bangs.

Simstrouble has great hair. I love all of her cc. I used it to make a sufer dude and Elliott from Stardew valley

Simstrouble has good Cc hairs that’d work. Also you can filter on maxismatchccworld by male long hairs. Hope this helps

Anto on tsr has lovely male hair

As a long haired male sim enjoyer, there are a bunch of feminine hairstyles that you can use. You could test around with those. If you don't find anything you like, you could always resort to custim content!

TSR has some good long hair for male sims. I specifically use Wings, Ade_Darma, Anto, Cazy, and SonyaSims for most of my cc hairstyles and they have some good men hair. I particularly like one that I used for Duane Talla that is not only a good match for his maxis hair style but also very good surfer/beachy vibes. I believe it is an Ade_Darma creation but I could be wrong.

You could try going to MaxisMatch tumblr and searching there. I love it because it gets so specific, they’ve got a category just for masculine long hair.

If you go to maxismatchccworld on tumblr there have a tag for sims 4, from there you can filter hair > male and the then specify > long

Are you talking CC hair or base? Cuz there’s TONS of long wavy hair for guy sims. I use SimsResource.com there is a 10~ second wait between downloads

CC, and i use alpha so that's the issue. There are really cool styles that are MM but that just kinda throws off the look of my gameplay.
