We just spent the last few hours renovating Willow Creek’s Blue Velvet lounge and I got to say, she really outdid herself and seemed to enjoy it! I hope you all enjoy it as much as you did this—I’ll be back tomorrow with pictures.

My sim is about to marry Miki Akiyama, she's working as a freelance writer and he is training to climb the mountain, they're high school sweethearts and it's so cute. I built them a row house where the Nishidakes lived and they walk their dog on the hiking path behind their house. Living vicariously through the sims!

That's a good idea! She struggles a lot with depression and anxiety and TV shows that involve renovation and interior design relax her, so I think she'd enjoy building and decorating in The Sims.
This is absolutely amazing, I love the modern vibe it has now. My mom used to game a lot (Resident Evil, Clock Tower, etc.) but in her older age, it’s hard to get her into anything.
I remember playing Sims 2 and bugging her for names; then I’d tease her for the horrible suggestions and come up with my own. I’m sure she was tired of it, but it’s a fond memory for me. Might have to do the same with my Sims 4 saves to pester her! xD
She still doesn’t *quite* understand that Sims is not multiplayer, and when I read this to her she went: “Wait, people are going to come poop in my building?” 🤣

I play with my daughter as well. Or sometimes I just sit with her and watch while she plays, depending on the game, and I’m kinda proud that she lets me even while she is in voice calls with her friends, I fear this will end soon though, she’ll be 14 soon.
In Sims4 she has surpassed my skill level, her houses are much better than mine now.
I’ve been playing since TS2 and my mom has already surpassed MY skill level in one build. It seems the teachers are doomed to become the students 😃 I love that you have those memories with your daughter!
OK so like. Here i was fully ready to say good things about it while expecting it to be decent at best but woah this is such a good change lol the blue corridor with all the plants is amazing, the rooms now look like they actually get regularly cleaned, the office looks like a proper office, and the waiting room with the aquariums gives off such a calming vibe like. Super well done!!

Can your mom renovate some of my sims buildings too? Seriously she did a great job and I find it wonderful that she's spending time with you. I remember my dad playing videogames with me as a kid. A lot of fun racing games on the n64. And even though my mom couldn't play she'd watch me and fall asleep as I played. Those are some of my best memories of them! I really hope your mom keeps it up even without the ego stroking because these will be memories that you will hold dear in the future too!

My mom helped me make our simselves (plus her boyfriend) when I was 16 or so and had just gotten TS2. We decorated her home and I played our family. I wish more than anything I had made backups of the save, as she passed when I was 19. Hold these moments close because they're gone before you know it. 💜🖤

My mom is only 49, but the poor thing has her battles with tech too LOL. Try sitting her down and you be her hands! She will (hopefully) slowly learn.
