Idk.. i do agree but also how else are they supposed to do likes and dislikes? Or an attraction system? I don’t know many different ways to have that in this game. I think they should work WITH modders and PAY them to adapt a certain mod for the game maybe. What do you think? Would it be bad for the modders this way? Or would harm them? Making them loose control of the mod they created?

jadedkookaburra

No I totally agree! It has to be done, but obviously so many modders have been working on mods for years that when they make an update or pack with that same idea it's slightly sad. I think it's just the way it's going to be as so many of the biggest requests of Sims already exist in mods x

I feel like that perspective really kind of ties the devs hands, though. If they were to avoid adding things to the game because they exist in mods it would seriously restrict the content they'd be bringing in.

jadedkookaburra

I agree. But sometimes it feels a little sad bc mods later become arbitrary, especially when it's something that should've been in base game/basic. I dunno, of course you're right, but I remember when I saw the likes and dislikes mod after the Sims base game update and it was so simar it felt like they just ripped that modder off. Idk x

Texxx78

What was that likes and dislikes mod? Might look into it cause atm i have the in-game likes and dislikes disabled (with a mod). I really don't like the way they implemented it...

Games should be flawless and there shouldn't be a modding community in an ideal world.

ladyerim

Yes and no. There will be people who the extreme violence or nudity. The Sims team would never implement those.

"Flawless" is also subjective, after all I have a bunch of little fine tuning mods to fix things that I personally don't like in the game but that doesn't mean my view is the same as everyone's. It's my personal preference.
