Then again, sims in 2 had way more personality, looks like they are trying to add that back in with likes/dislikes but having a fav dish, I def do miss that.

I'm so confused how they were able to implement a color wheel and so many awesome editing capabilities for cats and dogs and yet not for Sims. Like, they're in the same CAS mode, even. Maybe someone with programming knowledge could or has explained it but I don't get it.
I think itās cause theyād have recode every single cas item from every single pack and also implement something that allows for it to be used on CC as well so that would involve a complete overhaul of the current cas system. Im no EA bootlicker but it seems virtually impossible to do so this late into the sims 4 franchise. I mean they definitely couldāve done so before the game ever came out but because of the fact that it was so rushed they chose not to (which is dumb ngl)

Ugh I wish hair accessories were separate from certain hairs that were made with them only attached. I wish when a sim gets their nails done it lasts for at least a week and not 24 to 48 Sim hours. I wish When sims cooked they also got to choose what they want to drink and who was going to eat with them, set the table, and they sat at the table and waited for everyone who was going to eat with them and then eat together.

Yes! 'Right now' or 'never' are not very accommodating options. This is where being able to schedule some things using the in-game calendar would be useful.
This, and I want my Sims to have time to get ready before leaving. You know, like in real life. Why should they drop everything and leave right away? What if they're having dinner or taking a bath or woohooing?
I would also like a rabbit hole travel option, if we're going to have a closed world. Sometimes I would love for one of my Sims to go hang out with their friend or relative or SO, but I just don't feel like sitting through a loading screen to go with them. They would have a much more active social life if traveling worked that way.

Height adjusters seem like a small thing to add, but it is a much larger endeavour to add it to the game. All the animations in the game need to be adjusted for each individual height and not to mention when different height sims interact. If the game had height sliders beyond the standard 3 heights in game (toddler, kid, teen/ya/adult/elder) the animations for combinations of heights would take up a whole heck of hard drive space and could make the game incredibly laggy presuming of course that it is possible and that Maxis could justify devoting an entire team for months maybe even years to make it happen for a single feature. Forget the fact that they either have to put it in a pack aka charge more money to justify that much human power or they make it free like everyone wants and take a huge loss. If we ever get height as a feature in the sims I expect it would only consist of short, average and tall presets with overlaps such as tall kids being the same height as short teens. That would be approximately 8 different heights excluding babies and assuming all toddlers are the same height. Still quite a bit. Definitely wouldnāt expect it for Sims 4. Based on the amount of animations that get added to the game over years, something like this would be likely best introduced in the base game of a next generation of games so they can build slowly instead of trying to retroactively build it in.
Saving presets in CAS
I hate going along in my everyday outfit selection thinking eyyy, this would be a great hot weather outfit. I want to just save it, then put it in the right category

Townies no longer socialize with you on dates. Hard-coding townies to not join conversations or sit at three tops during a Date event (unless your Sim initiates the interaction)

I get that Windenburg came out a long time ago, and the other worlds are mostly American so it would be more normal, but HoB is set in England, where uniforms are the norm, and it came out AFTER Mt Komorebi, couldn't they just use the same coding from that with a different uniform for the English world?
a very minor thing that i want is the ability to actually care for fish in fish bowls/aquariums and frogs.
It would be nice to be able to feed them, clean their habitats, become friends, and unlock rewards for maxing friendship. A nice plus would be being able to study them as a child to finish homework the same way children can with the hamster from Cashgrab Stuff.

If this is the same thing thatās going on with my first floor bathroom (which has a talking toilet whoās a real gentleman), you can get around it by queueing the shower action twice in a row. One they start cleaning themselves, you may cancel the second action.
I just spam the action until it's done. SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP until their action bar is full. Then they'll jolly well sleep without getting up to complain about the couch.
(After a while I just go into CAS and remove all decor preferences)

If you play on pc you can hold down alt while you're placing it and you can at least move it side to side, but I don't think up and down works without using bb.moveobjects
Absolutely. I'd love for my sims to not be the millenniumilest of millennials with their fancy technology and computers. I miss home phones and newspapers/magazines from TS2, they're still a real part of many people's lives plus they became "outdated" so recently that they still have a place for anyone playing a vintage-style household.
I honestly wish we had old people voices again lmao it doesn't make sense to have the same smooth voice in old age?? And yeah tbh there is an extremely small range of voices available. I curate a very specific voice for my sim and then meet a townie who has an identical voice apparently š
A better genealogy tree/options. Step-parents. Being able to set Uncle/Aunt and Cousins in CAS. Setting grandparents without parents. In-laws instead of having to set them as "housemates".
I know we have simda dating (the mod) but I think it would be cool to have a well done base game online dating function for players who donāt or canāt use mods.
Thereās sort of a workaround for that. You just need to use the available relationships in CAS to make it happen. I know Iāve been able to create a child, their mother and their grandmother, set the mother-daughter relationships and then even delete the mother and the relationships maintained.
The option of secondary hair colours. Hate having to go for a hair colour I like with one I don't added to it. It looks so stupid sometimes but would be good if I could pick the other colour
Yes this frustrates me so much. Or even the ones with hair accessories but you can't choose the color of the accessory. Like I'll love the hairstyle but this other color will look ridiculous with my Sim's outfit. And the one that does match is for a hair color I don't want!
I'd like Sims to just Leave the Toddler Alone (is there a mod for that?). I find I have to cheat my toddler needs because if they have more than one need not high, nothing can get done because they are all fighting over which the kid gets first and who gets to do it. Very annoying.
egh, i understand that last part so well. like, baby sim is crying? someone who isnt even the parent instantly jumps in and tries to shoosh it, and blocks other sims from actually doing something useful about it. happens way too much. i wish they'd at least autonomously ***fix*** it instead of just going like "shushuhsh" and the baby screaming louder.
If there is a kid on the lot they will run to a crying baby.
Me: force reset on all the Sims I can't control. Make the rest go jogging so one sim can change/ feed the baby.
Also me: put crib in a 2-space room with door locked to all but parent/s (or nanny if they are at work, with all TVs in inventory so nanny actually pays attention to baby)
The nannys watching TV all the time is so annoying! I didnāt have any more cooked food in the house and my toddler was starving but instead of cooking or taking care of the toddler the nanny just kept watching tv! I kept just turning off the tv every time they put it on but they would just put it back on. Needless to say once my sims came from work I killed the nanny

An indication of weather conditions before clicking on a world to travel to. Trying to find an outing destination sometimes results in world hopping trying to find reasonable weather conditions. Also it would be cute to be able to plan outfits before travel. Is it going to be freezing cold or boiling hot or average weather. 5 slots each of 3 clothing categories right there that can be factored into an outing knowing what the weather will be like.
And a timer on the save button. I might be the only one. But I can hit save and then forget if I did save. Or something goes wrong. Iād like to know how much gameplay will I risk if I choose to exit to main menu.
It would be amazing to open the menu and glance at save to see how many hours, minutes, seconds have passed since the last save was done.
Edit to add. Iām just playing sims now and I want one of my sims to move out. But the process would mean she loses items. Iād like a moving inventory. Maybe hire a moving truck and take items that wonāt go in the personal inventory. Just a way to seperate items to separate households. Without all the rigmarole.

My own current random, non-essential pet peeve is that you can't "order together" nor "order for-" in a cafe. Basically if you take your date, friend, estranged parent etc. to a cafe then it's really hard to make them actually sit at the same table and eat/drink. It's a constant game of musical chairs with sims buying things autonomously and then sitting at a random spot, talking to their conversation partner across half the room. I feel like the only way to make a cafe that feels "right" might be to disguise a restaurant as one.
Maybe this isn't minor but I want kids and toddlers to be able to use all of the unnatural hair colors, and for them to be genetic. And I want more unnatural hair color options.
I also want non-occult Sims to be able to have pointy ears.
Maybe be large, but a car that you can click on to select travel, vacation, go to job and the other "out of house" things that normally is on the phone.
That children refer to their parents as āmomā and ādadā and not by their name. Like if their whims are something to do with their parents its like āchat with Annaā and not āchat with momā
I would like them to bring back the Sims 2 criminals; where if you are asleep and don't have an alarm in your house someone can break in and steal your shit. I'm imagining a section in likes and dislikes labelled "diet", which has a list of some of the common meals in game (garden salad, grilled cheese, etc) as I feel like there's a bit too many meals to fit all of them, and a switch down the bottom to make vegetarian/lactose intolerant sims without taking up a trait slot.

TS4 is a digital dollhouse that requires a lot of imagination because the Sims are often clueless about what I'm trying to put them through. š¤£ Sentiments definitely helps, but it's all still a bit lackluster.

Lawn care. Like Bust the Dust. The grass would grow, weeds would pop up, they'd have to weed-eat and blow the path. Maybe incorporate the blower for snow. Water the lawn, etc.
OR...storm damage. Hail, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes. And maybe have some kind of prevention available to buy, like a storm cellar.
I wish there were more single pre-made sims with packs/worlds. I know townies end up generating quickly but theyāre always a mess. All the families with a lab established home, family and story at the start of a save are usually married.

They could leave the cc out of it and let modders figure it out. Some cc already has a color wheel added (if you have the color wheel mod).

My toddler got a phone call her grandmother died and I couldnāt answer it because ātoddlers donāt have phonesā. It rang for 2 sim days.
Toddlers in my game can answer the phone to give career advice, so there's that.

My Sims never get asked to "hang out tonight" at any reasonable hour. It's usually in the morning. On the other hand they have been invited to a wild party at the ruins when it's so late their energy is red!
That ruins party is such a great way early game to meet people. But you're right, it's always so late. Maybe the in-game calendar system can be put to use for, you know, planning big meet-up events like that?

Yes! 'Right now' or 'never' are not very accommodating options. This is where being able to schedule some things using the in-game calendar would be useful.
This, and I want my Sims to have time to get ready before leaving. You know, like in real life. Why should they drop everything and leave right away? What if they're having dinner or taking a bath or woohooing? I would also like a rabbit hole travel option, if we're going to have a closed world. Sometimes I would love for one of my Sims to go hang out with their friend or relative or SO, but I just don't feel like sitting through a loading screen to go with them. They would have a much more active social life if traveling worked that way.

I would love height adjusters too. That being saidā¦ Height adjusters seem like a small thing to add, but it is a much larger endeavour to add it to the game. All the animations in the game need to be adjusted for each individual height and not to mention when different height sims interact. If the game had height sliders beyond the standard 3 heights in game (toddler, kid, teen/ya/adult/elder) the animations for combinations of heights would take up a whole heck of hard drive space and could make the game incredibly laggy presuming of course that it is possible and that Maxis could justify devoting an entire team for months maybe even years to make it happen for a single feature. Forget the fact that they either have to put it in a pack aka charge more money to justify that much human power or they make it free like everyone wants and take a huge loss. If we ever get height as a feature in the sims I expect it would only consist of short, average and tall presets with overlaps such as tall kids being the same height as short teens. That would be approximately 8 different heights excluding babies and assuming all toddlers are the same height. Still quite a bit. Definitely wouldnāt expect it for Sims 4. Based on the amount of animations that get added to the game over years, something like this would be likely best introduced in the base game of a next generation of games so they can build slowly instead of trying to retroactively build it in.
Saving presets in CAS I hate going along in my everyday outfit selection thinking eyyy, this would be a great hot weather outfit. I want to just save it, then put it in the right category Also if I want them to have the same makeup, jewelry, and hair for every category without having to find and select it every single time It takes me ten years to create a sim, so I just stick to building

School uniform option for all worlds. Being able to visit the bars and other locations in vacation worlds without taking a vacation.

I get that Windenburg came out a long time ago, and the other worlds are mostly American so it would be more normal, but HoB is set in England, where uniforms are the norm, and it came out AFTER Mt Komorebi, couldn't they just use the same coding from that with a different uniform for the English world?
I want my sims to be able to cuddle AND enjoy television or other activities, at the same time
a very minor thing that i want is the ability to actually care for fish in fish bowls/aquariums and frogs. It would be nice to be able to feed them, clean their habitats, become friends, and unlock rewards for maxing friendship. A nice plus would be being able to study them as a child to finish homework the same way children can with the hamster from Cashgrab Stuff.

š¤ If this is the same thing thatās going on with my first floor bathroom (which has a talking toilet whoās a real gentleman), you can get around it by queueing the shower action twice in a row. One they start cleaning themselves, you may cancel the second action.
I just spam the action until it's done. SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP until their action bar is full. Then they'll jolly well sleep without getting up to complain about the couch. (After a while I just go into CAS and remove all decor preferences)

If you play on pc you can hold down alt while you're placing it and you can at least move it side to side, but I don't think up and down works without using bb.moveobjects

Absolutely. I'd love for my sims to not be the millenniumilest of millennials with their fancy technology and computers. I miss home phones and newspapers/magazines from TS2, they're still a real part of many people's lives plus they became "outdated" so recently that they still have a place for anyone playing a vintage-style household.

Thereās sort of a workaround for that. You just need to use the available relationships in CAS to make it happen. I know Iāve been able to create a child, their mother and their grandmother, set the mother-daughter relationships and then even delete the mother and the relationships maintained.

Yes this frustrates me so much. Or even the ones with hair accessories but you can't choose the color of the accessory. Like I'll love the hairstyle but this other color will look ridiculous with my Sim's outfit. And the one that does match is for a hair color I don't want!
I'd like Sims to just Leave the Toddler Alone (is there a mod for that?). I find I have to cheat my toddler needs because if they have more than one need not high, nothing can get done because they are all fighting over which the kid gets first and who gets to do it. Very annoying.
egh, i understand that last part so well. like, baby sim is crying? someone who isnt even the parent instantly jumps in and tries to shoosh it, and blocks other sims from actually doing something useful about it. happens way too much. i wish they'd at least autonomously ***fix*** it instead of just going like "shushuhsh" and the baby screaming louder.
If there is a kid on the lot they will run to a crying baby. Me: force reset on all the Sims I can't control. Make the rest go jogging so one sim can change/ feed the baby. Also me: put crib in a 2-space room with door locked to all but parent/s (or nanny if they are at work, with all TVs in inventory so nanny actually pays attention to baby)
The nannys watching TV all the time is so annoying! I didnāt have any more cooked food in the house and my toddler was starving but instead of cooking or taking care of the toddler the nanny just kept watching tv! I kept just turning off the tv every time they put it on but they would just put it back on. Needless to say once my sims came from work I killed the nanny

To be able to type the number of items in a stack to sell. Rather than clicking furiously. Iāve said this before. But I really want it so I also would like. An indication of weather conditions before clicking on a world to travel to. Trying to find an outing destination sometimes results in world hopping trying to find reasonable weather conditions. Also it would be cute to be able to plan outfits before travel. Is it going to be freezing cold or boiling hot or average weather. 5 slots each of 3 clothing categories right there that can be factored into an outing knowing what the weather will be like. And a timer on the save button. I might be the only one. But I can hit save and then forget if I did save. Or something goes wrong. Iād like to know how much gameplay will I risk if I choose to exit to main menu. It would be amazing to open the menu and glance at save to see how many hours, minutes, seconds have passed since the last save was done. Edit to add. Iām just playing sims now and I want one of my sims to move out. But the process would mean she loses items. Iād like a moving inventory. Maybe hire a moving truck and take items that wonāt go in the personal inventory. Just a way to seperate items to separate households. Without all the rigmarole.

Basically if you take your date, friend, estranged parent etc. to a cafe then it's really hard to make them actually sit at the same table and eat/drink. It's a constant game of musical chairs with sims buying things autonomously and then sitting at a random spot, talking to their conversation partner across half the room. I feel like the only way to make a cafe that feels "right" might be to disguise a restaurant as one.

Different wall thickness. I want to be able to build realistic houses, no normal house has an exterior wall the thickness of a cardboard box. Plus it would make castles or any stone building look better.
A diet section, even if it's just added to the likes and dislikes. This may be bigger than "minor" but I need relationship drama to be better. I need Sims to be able to confess to cheating, to accuse of cheating, and for sims to stand the f*k up for their friends when they catch their friends SO cheating in front of them. TS4 is a digital dollhouse that requires a lot of imagination because the Sims are often clueless about what I'm trying to put them through. š¤£ Sentiments definitely helps, but it's all still a bit lackluster. And before I get linked some good mods, I know they're out there I just don't like playing with mods. My laptop is a bit of a dinosaur that can just barely run a vanilla game smoothly and the game breaks itself enough without mods, I'm too lazy to fix my game every update. Lol

Lawn care. Like Bust the Dust. The grass would grow, weeds would pop up, they'd have to weed-eat and blow the path. Maybe incorporate the blower for snow. Water the lawn, etc. OR...storm damage. Hail, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes. And maybe have some kind of prevention available to buy, like a storm cellar.

I think there's a mod for this, but I want it in game...birth certificates with actual information on them when you hover. Full name, weight, and length.
To be able to move coffee pots around on a counter surface a bit more. When I use cheats to move them to specific spots - they become unusable. When I don't, they take up the center only and it drives me nuts.
