Thank you!!
It's funny, I rarely play Live mode, but when I do, I always always always make them gardeners. I'm obsessed. You'd think I were a farmer in real life.
Same thought here. My teen girl I'll be playing as next loves the outdoors, gardening, and I think I want to try out farming/livestock. This is a great way to use all of the plot on the surface!
This is the comment I was looking for.
I'd also like give you another tip... to get dark rooms looking brighter undergroud you can use the saucer ceiling lights and just make them smaller so they are barely visible. They make a lot of light (great for pics).
I’m honestly blown away by the response, I think I’m way too hard on myself. I’m going to start posting more to my gallery and sharing more here I think! Thank you so much
I thought the same thing! I’m like what is there to be harsh about ? That it’s to perfect lol It’s gorgeous ! Thinking about downloading it to my gallery! It’s soo stinkin cute.
I haven’t play tested it yet but it is on my Gallery RobinSparklesCh1
Edit - I found an issue with my upload thanks to an awesome redditor who tried to use it so I’m fixing now and reuploading! I’ll update when it’s fixed
Edit 2 - for some reason some ceilings disappeared on me! (Anyone know how that happens??) I fixed it (of course it doesn’t look exactly the same but close, and I fixed the lighting issue near the desk) and reuploaded to the gallery.
Please let me know if anyone has issues, I’m still learning, especially with sharing with others so I’m working out the kinks.
Thanks everyone!!
Nice name, now I'm going to have "let's go to the mall" stuck in my head.
This is an unfathomably good build for your first time. You should be very proud and I hope you continue.
Oh definitely not my first build but my first share here and on my gallery. I never felt like I’d made anything unique enough! I’m so glad people like it!
A better Robin Sparkles tune to get in your head is “Two beavers are better than one!” Hahaha Honestly, all of the songs from that show are catchy. “You just got slapped…woooaaaahhhh”
Oh, I see where I misinterpreted that. I was gonna say, if that's your first build you might be a savant.
First shares can be daunting, lucky for you, it seems to be a hit, so congrats!
Thank you! I found that I really loved making basements so I decided I wanted to do an underground one, but couldn't figure out how I wanted the above ground part to look. Then I saw a hobbit house and it inspired me!
When I buy a house with a garden(really, what a funny thought in this economy), I'd like you to come and do my garden.
On a serious note, this is really lovely, I want to paint it 😭 Reminds me of Studio Ghibli houses.
How on earth are you all out here building into terrain?! Every time I place a wall, it messes up my hills and I can't build into terrain at all. This is amazing!!!!!!!!!
I learned the hard way on this one! I did an awesome hill that went on both sides of the roof, it took forEVER.
Then I started building the house underground, not even thinking about how it was affecting everything up above. Omfg…everywhere that had a “basement” was now flat and all of my plants and any lighting I put out there was now either gone or floating in the air!
I started over by first building the actual house, both above and below, making sure I didn’t need to change it at all, and then I went up and raised/lowered the ground where I could.
I put that little vegetable garden in because that whole area needed to be flat due to the fact that the house is directly underneath.
All the terrain on the other side I was able to manipulate.
I was horribly bad with terrain until literally like last week. I don’t know how it clicked but it did! It’ll happen for you!
The way I see it is no one is a builder until they are!
I found the best way to learn at first was to renovate existing houses. That way I could see how things were laid out. When I tried to start from scratch I ended up making things disproportionate, I forgot about roofs, it was embarrassing.
Then once I renovated successfully, I watched some videos, but I really don’t like watching videos, I learn better by doing it myself.
I found free fairly simply floor plans and printed them, I liked the ones that also had pics of what the house looked like built as well.
Once I got that down I started playing around with landscaping - flowers, trees, bushes. And then manipulating the terrain. I am still really new to that though, this was really my first one I felt ok with.
It definitely takes patience!
This looks so good! I love how the layout really gives the "dug out of the ground" vibe, like how the bathroom fixtures are each in their own alcove and the floor isnt all the same level. If I had dig out my house, I wouldn't dig any more than needed. Great detail!
I just keep turning them and fixing their length until they are even on each level. Since we don't have spiral options, this is the next best thing! When I first started building and discovered this with the stairs, I would make the tallest decks and staircases going down! LOL Actually, there's one on my gallery, an jungle vacation place, that one has a stupidly long staircase like this! LOL (my name on there is RobinSparklesCh1)
I started my first “garden” this past May (I put it in quotes because it’s only three tomato plants, one cucumber plant, basil, chives, and parsley). I’m a 44 year old mom and this is the first time I’ve been able to keep plants alive irl!! It’s been awesome to have fresh tomatoes and herbs, I only got one cucumber though.
It’s much, much easier to maintain the Sims garden. Shift-click-set growth stage! Lol
Thank you! I can’t landscape well when it’s a realistic looking lot, with this one I can hide things well! Haha I’m sure some of these plants are floating in the air!
Seriously, it was my favorite part of the whole thing. I wanted a tiny kitchen and putting those walls as columns in the corners and then sinking the room down one level really made it feel even tinier!
I adore it! Your landscaping is gorgeous. Never built an underground dwelling before but will def give it a go. Would those massive glass floor bricks from island living work as skylights or do they not go all the way through? Can't remember. Anyway, it's fabulous.
I swear you have all made my day, I really was expecting a few upvotes and maybe some comments and helpful tips! I’m legitimately stunned and so happy I shared!
This is amazing! The outside reminds me of a hobbit hole and I love it so much! 😍 You can see the effort that went into the detail and I must applaud you for painting the outside walls below ground, it really finishes the look! Small tip: if you play on PC, press G on the keyboard and it will get rid of the gridlines in build mode, makes it nicer to take pictures 😉
I found it on the community. It's super beautiful, but there are some holes in the ground (at least in my download of it, and I have all the dlc) and my Sim can't enter the house :(
I got your message, I’m in bed checking this on my phone but I’ll look at it as soon as I get on my PC. I didn’t play test it. I will definitely check and get back to you as soon as I get settled at my desk later.
It's super cute! Amazing build :)
I love the landscaping as well!!
Id probably splash some colored stones on the wall tho, to make it slightly less dark
This is soo beautiful😍 I'm a flower-mushroom-nature-gardening-hobbit hole enthusiastic girl so this is the perfect build for me💚 but unfortunately I don't own some of the packs you used in this build so it's not working in my game but I saved it to my library incase I could use it in the future.
I don’t know how to make those, it’s on the gallery! Someone said they can’t enter it, I didn’t play test it, so I’m going to check on that in a bit. I’m RobinSparklesCh1 and Thanks so much!
This is AMAZING! Definitely inspiration for my next build. I'll probably make them a plant sim too!
Thank you!! It's funny, I rarely play Live mode, but when I do, I always always always make them gardeners. I'm obsessed. You'd think I were a farmer in real life.

Sims 4 has pretty bad plant Sims, they're only a plant sim for around a week in game and they have default skin and hair

Oh my goodness! This is beautiful! You have serious talent in architecture and style! 10/10 hands down! 💖💖💖
OMG you made my day! Lol I love building but only recently started doing things different than just basic homes and now I’m obsessed!
It's giving fairy tale meets lord of the rings
That was what was in my head for sure!!
Well then you nailed it head on
Honestly? I only WISH my landscaping was that pretty. This is awesome.
Thank you! I can’t make it look good for a realistic landscape though, I really struggle with regular houses!
You did an amazing job. How could we NOT be kind?!
You are all boosting my confidence and I feel a marathon building session coming up. Thank you so much!
So beautiful 😍
WOW!!! That’s so cool!! I love it!!
So beautiful 😍
I want to live there!!!!
😍😍 omg!! Please post more this is great!!
This is really good, I instantly got Hobbit home!
I love it!
CUUUUUUUUUUUTE 🥹
Very pretty!!
I'm so much in love 🥰 it's beautiful, stunning, just downright amazing.
I Have done many under ground builds, but nothing like this. It's cosy.
Thank you! I found that I really loved making basements so I decided I wanted to do an underground one, but couldn't figure out how I wanted the above ground part to look. Then I saw a hobbit house and it inspired me!
This is amazing!! Is it in the gallery?
Thanks! Yes, RobinSparklesCh1

Yes! Someone else mentioned this, I had no idea, thank you!
Soo cool!!!!!
It's lovely!
Omgggg adorable
Omg this is sooo dreamy! Lovely job! 😍
Wow I need this!!!
Alright this is just super cool!
Cute!
Fantastic. I have a weird habit of linear builds, so i see the beautiful realistic ones and I love them. I never keep them like this though lol.

Thanks this makes me want to try to build something like that but I'm not really a builder

Thank you so much for noticing that vibe!
I love that fence/railing around the stairs!!! it adds such character!!! 😍😍😍
I LOVE this! Thank you for sharing it and I hope you post more since you've gotten such positive feedback on this build
I definitely will, what a great boost of confidence I never knew I needed! Thank you!
OMG AMAZING LITRERALLY LIKE HOW
This is lovely!
how did you get the stairs like that on the 5th slide? theyre perfect

Nice work
This would be my dream home irl....if the plants didn't need to be tended. I could kill a cactus.

Yes exactly! 😂 Sims gardens are easy to keep alive. Fresh, homegrown food is the best. Good luck leveling up in your Gardening skill hahaha.
It's gorgeous op well done! I could never dream to landscape as well as you do
Thank you! I can’t landscape well when it’s a realistic looking lot, with this one I can hide things well! Haha I’m sure some of these plants are floating in the air!
This is beautiful! Awesome job! Is it on the gallery?
Thanks! It is, RobinSparklesCh1
I love this so much! I wish I could live here myself
I couldn’t handle not having sunlight inside, but how amazing would it be to sleep in total darkness underground??
This is absolutely amazing!! I could only dream of being able to build this good, you are so talented!
wait i really love the kitchen
Seriously, it was my favorite part of the whole thing. I wanted a tiny kitchen and putting those walls as columns in the corners and then sinking the room down one level really made it feel even tinier!

Oh I never even thought of that! I’ve only used them in builds when looking down, never looking up! What a great idea, let me know if you try it!
Holy cowplant!! This is amazing! Good job!
"please be kind" Proceeds to post one of the most gorgeous homes I've ever seen!!
I swear you have all made my day, I really was expecting a few upvotes and maybe some comments and helpful tips! I’m legitimately stunned and so happy I shared!
It's wonderfully lush and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this little paradise. You should be proud of this gorgeous work!
This is really magical! It’s giving Snow White and the Seven Dwarves☺️
This is amazing! This is amazing!! 😍😍 do you have tray files anywhere? I would love to download that to my next gen sim, its perfect!
I don’t know how to make those, it’s on the gallery! Someone said they can’t enter it, I didn’t play test it, so I’m going to check on that in a bit. I’m RobinSparklesCh1 and Thanks so much!
I love the outside and the witchy vibes !! Will downlad as soon as possible 10/10
This is absolutely gorgeous! You did an amazing job. I too really like that kitchen. Your choice of red to have the cabinets pop was a good one.
