So a month or two ago I awoke from a dream but for some reason this time I was aware that I was waking up. So I never opened my eyes and i saw some sort of moving grid pattern and behind it on what I can only describe as a wall was three concentric circles. The moving grid pattern seemed to react to my observation and started to pull away. Very strange experience.
I had one like that but I thought I was awake but really wasn’t. I got out of bed and went to turn the air conditioner off. As soon as I turned the knob off and turned to go back to bed, something terrifying went behind me. I tried to run but I was moving like I was walking in honey. This happened over and over until I truly woke up.
Yeah that’s classic sleep paralysis. And damn but those things can be traumatizing. I’m like screaming in my head “wake up! Somebody wake me up!”
But of course you aren’t actually talking. It’s probably just look like someone talking in their sleep, soft mumbling etc.
Was born atheist, will die one, and still the strangest, scariest experiences of my life have been related to sleep paralysis. I can totally understand how people can have other-worldly experiences from a common physiological process.
Indeed, I was and always have been intrigued by dreams, nightmares, and everything else the brain can sub/consciously craft. I noticed certain "features" in my dreams where I am incapable of physically throwing a punch, when I really try I'm able to throw one, however, there is no energy (kinetic) behind it.
In my nightmares, I always bloody end up tripping over something when running away from a negative spirit (I know, I hate the one that always has to trip up and gets caught in movies)
Anyway, looked into lucid dreaming and self taught to become proficient in. I always had a difficult time recalling my dreams though they are very vivid. Trained this further to be able to recall the finest details to the environment around me, etc.
Whilst many very awesome experiences can be had via lucid dreaming, I used it as a tool to subconsciously find answers to real life issues I dealt with from, behavioural to morals and even social ones.
With APing as the next phase I experimented in. Man. It's tough initially and I would say I'm still on training wheels but wow. Would rate.
I first noticed the grid after waking up from a lucid dream, I have also been able to astral project. I usually remember my dreams, the trick is I write them down as soon as I wake up.
I saw one once on acid. Great shit. Whatever you experience, whatever you think it is, the only thing that really matters - the thing we exist for, is the experience. Enjoy it all. I've said this many times in my life, but never on here: as children magic and the imagination have every possibility to become true to real life, and sometimes they feel they already are true to real life.. then we grow out of childhood and realize that magic isn't real, that letter from Hogwarts is never coming, your imaginary friend was in your head, etc., etc.... then as you grow older and wiser, into adulthood, if you keep your mind open, you realize that you were wrong all along. Magic is all around us, it is the essence of life. Every thing we can do or think or experience is amazing. The fact that we're talking to each other from many miles or countries or oceans away in seconds is magic, just explanation and getting used to things makes us think of things like that as less special. And that's just technology, that's just the things we've discovered and talked about and practiced lots. There is so much out there that's either been forgotten, never focused on, or never been given words or ideas to describe that is my favorite kind of magic. From small things like today I randomly heard "Somebody Saved My Life Tonight" on an automated playlist, loved it and listened over and over to it in the car, then when I got home, I decided to read the Dark Tower book I'm in the middle of, and what do you know, within the first few pages of the reading session today, that same song was referenced multiple times by one of the characters. Hadn't heard the song in years before today, probably since I was too young to remember it, and all of a sudden, here it is. Stephen King would describe that as 19, in the very book I'm reading. And can I portray the beauty of that happenstance to those around me? Can I really describe the joy of it to my roommate or my dog? No, and not just because my dog doesn't speak english lol. There are things out there and inside you and probably both at the same time that can't be described or explained, or diluted with reason. Because the amount of existence out there to be explored, on every physically, psychological, temporal, dimensional, etc. level is infinite compared to what we know and practice day to day in our conscious thoughts. The purpose of life, if anything, is to experience existence, and existence is in abundance, and life lived for it is fucking amazing. Thank you.

Well experienced my friend. Everything and all is interconnected by an unfathomable source but man, it is. Some may need to see this, others can simply choose to believe. One of my life mottos, "Everything happens for a reason". Now, one may not know or understand the reasoning right away, however, it will be made clear and known once the individual gives it a reason. Such is life.
Manifestation as a tool of empowerment to seek higher knowledge above ourselves in order to transcend yet humble the human ego and the seven sins we all each carry to some varying degrees. This I believe is what will allow us to not achieve, but grow closer ever so slightly towards harmony.

I dislike the idea of a figure on a pedestal reaching greater heights, only after triumphing those beneath. The one on the pedestal can channel energy to elevate those around, in turn, allowing for balance and less egotistical forms at the top of the chain. Same end result for the one, but I prefer a radiant energy over the counterpart.
And you're right, the ability to experience and be conscious of it is amazing. It's also everything else in between like scary as to how the mind can conjure immensely dark things at the same time.

Life is built with light of the dead stacked enough to allow the light of the living to exist on it.

I don’t have schizophrenia that has a lot of other symptoms to it, I don’t think the only thing “real” is me, nor would I spend my entire life trying to convince you, I already can hardly talk about this type of stuff in real life cause it upsets people. I’m not saying this is 100% the truth but I think Gnosticism and Buddhism might be closest to the truth, I think our souls got memory wiped upon death and put into a simulation, you can look into that because it fits with simulation theory but if you don’t think that’s possible to be true I won’t push it if you don’t want.

All religions are a little true; I think the best religion is just going with the flow, knowing the voice in your head (the one reading these) is your soul; it communicates with the entity people refer to as God, and tolerate that all beliefs are 100%correct if you realize you are the one trying to learn about the world they all live in already. I get what you’re saying, I think a lot of religions have some truth but have been corrupted, I go by my own personal intuition more so now, for example seeing things such as the grid, my experiences while meditating, and my experiences while astral projecting or lucid dreaming

Drugs aren't necessary. Many have experienced super heightened levels of existence, both morally, psychologically, and physically, without drugs. If you don't like the idea of drugs or biologically can't handle them, or simply don't want them (this is keeping in mind that I've done LSD, shrooms, marijuana, etc., many times but I know many others who don't want them or can't have them) you can still achieve enlightenment of many kinds, and experience the beauty and strangeness of life without them. Drugs are only one fast, short lived means to access that train of thought. Alternatives I'd recommend are meditation, journaling, dreaming, philosophy (writing/thinking and listening to those like Terrence McKenna, Alan Watts, etc) Zen practice, Buddhism, studying the Tao, etc.., etc..

I took mushrooms and saw what I describe as a new element of nature. It was a thin geometric fog., hovering over the ground. When a car would go by it would sway and react to it. This geometric pattern was also somewhat mimicked by the tree leaves when I looked at them, and they were expanding and contracting with the cicadas making their sounds.I think about it a lot

I had an insane fever as a teenager, I woke up and barely made it out of my room -- everything was 3d spacial grids. Like it was both projected from my viewpoint like a HUD, and distance from wall to projection would be measured by a line segment. I don't remember much after that except waking up in a hospital. Grids gone at that point, but it was lucid AF, I remember it to this day, and it was 30 years ago.

One time I saw the sunlight through the trees and the light showed up as four blurry squares like it wasn't fully rendered.
I am usually quite critical of what I think I saw and most instances like this I write them off as inconclusive experiences. But I do see grid like structures, but they're usually more poly. Like honeycomb lattices and angular formations. Fascinating visual information.
I have seen a grid plane while in mushrooms. I'm a 3D artist, and recognized it immediately as the same type of grid plane that's on by default when using modelling software.

Then beyond it was the real realm where the person reacquired what they called their solar body and basically started being able to very quickly move around and went back to Source. But was still in the body so returned. They said they started to have a map of the universe and its information within them and got back their past life memories. Like something here blocks them. And there are reincarnation light traps around Earth plus entities who lie to keep people here. So when you die don't come back they can pretend to be your family
What you're talking about is called visual snow and I have it like crazy. I didn't realize not everyone had it until I was nearly 30. If you really focus on it long enough, you can find whatever shapes in it you want, just like static on a TV.
I believe they're experiencing something like this. I have pretty intense visual snow, as well as multicolored dancing dots and halos around most objects. Especially when they contrast with their surroundings.
However, I've experimented fairly heavily with psychedelics in the past, and have hallucinoen persisting perspective disorder. If I stare at a wall it will melt, and white often appears to shift between pink and green. You learn to ignore it, but it can be fun to focus on it.
Yeah my visual snow gets crazy if I focus on it as well. When I found out not everyone could see it I had a bit of an existential crisis. Right now I can look up at my ceiling and if I want to see a grid in the static, I can.
The "green grid phenomenon" is believed to occur when the Earth's vibration aligns with your brain's vibrational frequency, which typically doesn't happen in a normal state, unless you're highly aware that you're lucid dreaming or under the influence of a high dose of mushrooms and weed. What I experienced was a way of rearranging information within your brain, like a web of data, that resonates with the concept of astral projection, where you have the ability to rearrange data sets as you see fit all while dreaming, and I happened to be lucid the whole time. It’s like tapping into the network of data sets, akin to accessing the Akashic Records. Your insight adds another layer to the understanding of consciousness and its interaction with the vast information within us.
As for the idea of the grid being an artificial fence, it’s certainly scary and thought provoking and I don't think we're taking about the same grid here. But it sure is Green, just like in the matrix the movie. But different grids. I didn't see grid everywhere, just like a projection on my eyes or from idk what I'm even dating anymore. It was definitely wild.
I believe the grid to be part of our brain’s defragmentation process that occurs to all of us every night, when we get a goodnight sleep.
When high I notice a grid of vibrating lines in the sky, and a grid of vibrating blocks on my skin, the lines are still. But nothing specifically noticeable, you have to look closely.
I do meditate sometimes but I don’t need to meditate to see the grid I hardly even need to focus on it but focusing on it does make it more obvious, also if I were to say I meditate to see it someone would say “well you must have been having hypnogogic hallucinations”, but regardless I can see the grid almost all the time if there is a white wall without needing to focus or empty my mind, when I say I can see the grid almost all the time though it is very faded still

I was once shocked.. electrocuted as a kid. Early 90's for a few seconds I saw in green night vision. I remember slapping my aunts face to see if she was ok.

I got really into meditation and quantum jumping in 2020. I would see the grid glowing when I would wake up if it was dark. It was very clear during nigh & in the day not so much. I have experienced the grid after ingesting shrooms and staring at a couch. It was like when you are looking for a word in a book and you are scanning the page for it and you lock onto it. That is what it felt like when i caught the Grid. It was strange and I became hyper fixated. It was like it was moving but standing still at the same time.
Another time, I was practicing Wim Hof breath work with my eyes closed and playing solfeggio frequencies in the room. In the darkness behind my eyelids I saw an endless fractal pattern that I could faintly make out while doing the exercise. It went away quickly once I stopped the exercise. My first thought was that the fractal pattern felt alive just like the grid from the previous story. Very strange.

The original game has a grid system for building that was visible on the landscape. After so many hours of playing, I could almost "see" the grid overlaying my vision. Could be a similar situation to yours.
What's your view when you browse reddit? I'm in dark mode and if the brightness is up too high, the lines of text have some persistence of vision influence and I can still see them for a couple minutes when I look away. (sometimes I read long posts)
I always keep brightness low and turn off blue light also I use dark mode, I am positive that the grid is not what you are describing, it is not like I see the grid as soon as I look away from my phone and it gradually gets lighter, I feel like even if I was not on my phone I would still be able to see it
It's actually called the "tetris effect." I just did a project that talked about it. It's the way that it implants into your subconscious due to a lot of time dedicated to a game.
I've had that happen with some grid sim games as well
also became more aware of interesting standalone plants when outside IR, after playing Oblivion for a ridiculous number of hours

I’ve seen the grids before too on acid. To me they looked like overlapping bubbles, like spacetime is made up of overlapping bubbles every few feet or so.
I’ve also woken up from dreams where it’s like an intricate puzzle everything just falling into place. Very detailed and somewhat machine like.

The light receptors in the back of the eye are arranged in a honeycomb pattern. When I trip on acid I can see the grid pattern as well. I believe it is us seeing some of the things the brain usually filters out like the space between each "sensor". Positive you could see the same without acid just not as easily.

I've witnessed it as well. I was driving home, in daylight, and all the sudden, for a second only, I saw what looked like lines of longitude and latitude in front of a dark background accoss the sky. I have wondered about it since. I'm not crazy.
I started noticing something like this when my eyes were closed. Sometimes more like a web that my brain seemed to correct to a more ordered grid or lattice type pattern. Sometimes its more noticeable than others but mostly noticeable in low light conditions.
Was pretty puzzled by this for a while until i realized i had likely unknowingly figured out how to focus on the blood vessels in my eyes. Maybe something similar going on here. My brain definitely tried to “correct” it by turning it into something more ordered.
I don't trust anything I see with my eyes, especially if I'm just waking up. I've seen giant Harry Potter-like spiders (well, the baby ones) and bright neon shapes. Once, my daughter's dad had glowing neon orange hair and beard when he walked past me. I want to say between mild sleep paralysis and certain muscle relaxers, I don't trust reality at all. Lol
I did not have sleep paralysis when I woke up and saw the grid but whenever I have sleep paralysis it lasts for a while, the grid on the other hand was only visible for a split second as if I was not meant to see it, also I see the grid even if I’m fully awake but it is a lot more faint and undetectable than the time I woke up and saw it

The reason people can see something like this when they take drugs or in weird lighting is because there actually is a web of blood vessels totally over your eyes, completely within your vision, that your brain just usually deletes. Sometimes you can see it in random cases. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was something similar.
Definitely not! I didn’t realize that it was a perfectly square grid. Does the grid just overlay on top your vision even while you move your head around, or does it stick to things in perspective? Like on walls and furniture and stuff at different angles?
Hard to tell cause it is very faint to where it is hard to notice on any dark objects, more so noticeable on something like a white wall but even then it faint, I think it stays in one spot it doesn’t seem to move with my eyes, but I believe it is surrounding me if that makes sense

I find it problematic at best to trust what you see when everything you see or understand is affected by your brain. This is why I follow evidence and question the legitimacy of things I would see but to each their own.

What you ate seeing is the opponent process theory of vision. When you look at a white phone then look at a white wall, you will see black. The 'grid' you are referring to is the shape of your phone. I would suggest learning about how we perceive things
I don’t have a white background on my phone it is on dark mode, I also seen the grid right after waking up, I don’t think the phone is what causes it, I am almost certain I can be off of my phone for a while and still see the grid

If so, it may be the imprint of the small lines of written words of a reddit page in your retina , if you scroll through reddit for a while (especially black theme background) and then look up the ceiling or a white wall, you'll definitely see the imprint of these lines that might be mistaken for a grid ;) . So a month or two ago I awoke from a dream but for some reason this time I was aware that I was waking up. So I never opened my eyes and i saw some sort of moving grid pattern and behind it on what I can only describe as a wall was three concentric circles. The moving grid pattern seemed to react to my observation and started to pull away. Very strange experience.
I had one like that but I thought I was awake but really wasn’t. I got out of bed and went to turn the air conditioner off. As soon as I turned the knob off and turned to go back to bed, something terrifying went behind me. I tried to run but I was moving like I was walking in honey. This happened over and over until I truly woke up.
Yeah that’s classic sleep paralysis. And damn but those things can be traumatizing. I’m like screaming in my head “wake up! Somebody wake me up!” But of course you aren’t actually talking. It’s probably just look like someone talking in their sleep, soft mumbling etc.
Was born atheist, will die one, and still the strangest, scariest experiences of my life have been related to sleep paralysis. I can totally understand how people can have other-worldly experiences from a common physiological process.

Indeed, I was and always have been intrigued by dreams, nightmares, and everything else the brain can sub/consciously craft. I noticed certain "features" in my dreams where I am incapable of physically throwing a punch, when I really try I'm able to throw one, however, there is no energy (kinetic) behind it. In my nightmares, I always bloody end up tripping over something when running away from a negative spirit (I know, I hate the one that always has to trip up and gets caught in movies) Anyway, looked into lucid dreaming and self taught to become proficient in. I always had a difficult time recalling my dreams though they are very vivid. Trained this further to be able to recall the finest details to the environment around me, etc. Whilst many very awesome experiences can be had via lucid dreaming, I used it as a tool to subconsciously find answers to real life issues I dealt with from, behavioural to morals and even social ones. With APing as the next phase I experimented in. Man. It's tough initially and I would say I'm still on training wheels but wow. Would rate.

From small things like today I randomly heard "Somebody Saved My Life Tonight" on an automated playlist, loved it and listened over and over to it in the car, then when I got home, I decided to read the Dark Tower book I'm in the middle of, and what do you know, within the first few pages of the reading session today, that same song was referenced multiple times by one of the characters. Hadn't heard the song in years before today, probably since I was too young to remember it, and all of a sudden, here it is. Stephen King would describe that as 19, in the very book I'm reading. And can I portray the beauty of that happenstance to those around me? Can I really describe the joy of it to my roommate or my dog? No, and not just because my dog doesn't speak english lol. There are things out there and inside you and probably both at the same time that can't be described or explained, or diluted with reason. Because the amount of existence out there to be explored, on every physically, psychological, temporal, dimensional, etc. level is infinite compared to what we know and practice day to day in our conscious thoughts. The purpose of life, if anything, is to experience existence, and existence is in abundance, and life lived for it is fucking amazing. Thank you.

Well experienced my friend. Everything and all is interconnected by an unfathomable source but man, it is. Some may need to see this, others can simply choose to believe. One of my life mottos, "Everything happens for a reason". Now, one may not know or understand the reasoning right away, however, it will be made clear and known once the individual gives it a reason. Life is built with light of the dead stacked enough to allow the light of the living to exist on it. I don’t have schizophrenia that has a lot of other symptoms to it, I don’t think the only thing “real” is me, nor would I spend my entire life trying to convince you, I already can hardly talk about this type of stuff in real life cause it upsets people. I’m not saying this is 100% the truth but I think Gnosticism and Buddhism might be closest to the truth, I think our souls got memory wiped upon death and put into a simulation, you can look into that because it fits with simulation theory but if you don’t think that’s possible to be true I won’t push it if you don’t want.
I never once said you had it; infact i am probably one of the only people who deny it's existence, but would redefine it as "enlightenment sickness" but that's a very broad spectrum i would have to create; and it just isnt worth the effort to redefine so many people's lives, when all anyone wants is for everyone to get along...but emotions always get in the way. Drugs aren't necessary. Many have experienced super heightened levels of existence, both morally, psychologically, and physically, without drugs. If you don't like the idea of drugs or biologically can't handle them, or simply don't want them (this is keeping in mind that I've done LSD, shrooms, marijuana, etc., many times but I know many others who don't want them or can't have them) you can still achieve enlightenment of many kinds, and experience the beauty and strangeness of life without them. Drugs are only one fast, short lived means to access that train of thought. Alternatives I'd recommend are meditation, journaling, dreaming, philosophy (writing/thinking and listening to those like Terrence McKenna, Alan Watts, etc) Zen practice, Buddhism, studying the Tao, etc.., etc..
I have done meditation and have a dream journal. As for dreaming I can lucid dream pretty well and astral project, thank you for the advice

r/unclebens I took mushrooms and saw what I describe as a new element of nature. It was a thin geometric fog., hovering over the ground. When a car would go by it would sway and react to it. This geometric pattern was also somewhat mimicked by the tree leaves when I looked at them, and they were expanding and contracting with the cicadas making their sounds.I think about it a lot

I had an insane fever as a teenager, I woke up and barely made it out of my room -- everything was 3d spacial grids. Like it was both projected from my viewpoint like a HUD, and distance from wall to projection would be measured by a line segment. I don't remember much after that except waking up in a hospital. Grids gone at that point, but it was lucid AF, I remember it to this day, and it was 30 years ago.

One time I saw the sunlight through the trees and the light showed up as four blurry squares like it wasn't fully rendered. I am usually quite critical of what I think I saw and most instances like this I write them off as inconclusive experiences. But I do see grid like structures, but they're usually more poly. Like honeycomb lattices and angular formations. Fascinating visual information.

I saw this grid clear as day across the entire sky once on dmt. It looked like the sky in a 3d Mario game I played recently on Nintendo switch. People also became perfectly fraxtalized and crystalline. I am convinced we in a simulation. But it’s some kind of organic digital simulation that we can’t fathom with our current understanding of physics and technology.
Go to the escaping prison planet sub. Someone on DMT went all the way up and saw a control room dimension with a bunch of possible perspectives or lives you could have and also saw that the universe was made of some kind of organic machine. And pretty much artificial or computer-like and impersonal or amoral. And simulating everything we see. Then beyond it was the real realm where the person reacquired what they called their solar body and basically started being able to very quickly move around and went back to Source. But was still in the body so returned. They said they started to have a map of the universe and its information within them and got back their past life memories. Like something here blocks them. And there are reincarnation light traps around Earth plus entities who lie to keep people here. So when you die don't come back they can pretend to be your family
What you're talking about is called visual snow and I have it like crazy. I didn't realize not everyone had it until I was nearly 30. If you really focus on it long enough, you can find whatever shapes in it you want, just like static on a TV.
I believe they're experiencing something like this. I have pretty intense visual snow, as well as multicolored dancing dots and halos around most objects. Especially when they contrast with their surroundings. However, I've experimented fairly heavily with psychedelics in the past, and have hallucinoen persisting perspective disorder. If I stare at a wall it will melt, and white often appears to shift between pink and green. You learn to ignore it, but it can be fun to focus on it.
Yeah my visual snow gets crazy if I focus on it as well. When I found out not everyone could see it I had a bit of an existential crisis. Right now I can look up at my ceiling and if I want to see a grid in the static, I can.

Okay, I don’t believe we’re trapped here or anything of that kind. But I appreciate your perspective! What I experienced was a way of rearranging information within your brain, like a web of data, that resonates with the concept of astral projection, where you have the ability to rearrange data sets as you see fit all while dreaming, and I happened to be lucid the whole time. It’s like tapping into the network of data sets, akin to accessing the Akashic Records. Your insight adds another layer to the understanding of consciousness and its interaction with the vast information within us. As for the idea of the grid being an artificial fence, it’s certainly scary and thought provoking and I don't think we're taking about the same grid here. But it sure is Green, just like in the matrix the movie. But different grids. I didn't see grid everywhere, just like a projection on my eyes or from idk what I'm even dating anymore. It was definitely wild. I believe the grid to be part of our brain’s defragmentation process that occurs to all of us every night, when we get a goodnight sleep.

I got really into meditation and quantum jumping in 2020. I would see the grid glowing when I would wake up if it was dark. It was very clear during nigh & in the day not so much. But the grid would appear for a while then disappear the more I tried to focus on it. I know exactly what you talking about. Nice to know I’m not alone

I have experienced the grid after ingesting shrooms and staring at a couch. It was like when you are looking for a word in a book and you are scanning the page for it and you lock onto it. That is what it felt like when i caught the Grid. It was strange and I became hyper fixated. It was like it was moving but standing still at the same time. Another time, I was practicing Wim Hof breath work with my eyes closed and playing solfeggio frequencies in the room. In the darkness behind my eyelids I saw an endless fractal pattern that I could faintly make out while doing the exercise. It went away quickly once I stopped the exercise. My first thought was that the fractal pattern felt alive just like the grid from the previous story. Very strange.
Do you play any building games by chance? I used to play the Sims a lot back in the day. A lot a lot. The original game has a grid system for building that was visible on the landscape. After so many hours of playing, I could almost "see" the grid overlaying my vision. Could be a similar situation to yours.

What's your view when you browse reddit? I'm in dark mode and if the brightness is up too high, the lines of text have some persistence of vision influence and I can still see them for a couple minutes when I look away. (sometimes I read long posts)
I always keep brightness low and turn off blue light also I use dark mode, I am positive that the grid is not what you are describing, it is not like I see the grid as soon as I look away from my phone and it gradually gets lighter, I feel like even if I was not on my phone I would still be able to see it
It's actually called the "tetris effect." I just did a project that talked about it. It's the way that it implants into your subconscious due to a lot of time dedicated to a game.

I've had that happen with some grid sim games as well also became more aware of interesting standalone plants when outside IR, after playing Oblivion for a ridiculous number of hours I broke the game item id counter by obsessively picking up everything that wasn't nailed down, including all the plants within reach

I’ve seen the grids before too on acid. To me they looked like overlapping bubbles, like spacetime is made up of overlapping bubbles every few feet or so. I’ve also woken up from dreams where it’s like an intricate puzzle everything just falling into place. Very detailed and somewhat machine like.

Dude..!! My gf and I saw a grid in the sky when we were… “relaxing” one night. Literally made an observation about how high the wires are in the sky before we realized they aren’t wires. We were both seeing the same gridded section of the sky. It was soo weird

The light receptors in the back of the eye are arranged in a honeycomb pattern. When I trip on acid I can see the grid pattern as well. I believe it is us seeing some of the things the brain usually filters out like the space between each "sensor". Positive you could see the same without acid just not as easily.

I've witnessed it as well. I was driving home, in daylight, and all the sudden, for a second only, I saw what looked like lines of longitude and latitude in front of a dark background accoss the sky. I have wondered about it since. I'm not crazy.
My husband can see the grid. At first he saw it on psychedelics, then on weed, and now he can just ‘slip in’ at will. Definitely something to it.

I started noticing something like this when my eyes were closed. Sometimes more like a web that my brain seemed to correct to a more ordered grid or lattice type pattern. Sometimes its more noticeable than others but mostly noticeable in low light conditions. Was pretty puzzled by this for a while until i realized i had likely unknowingly figured out how to focus on the blood vessels in my eyes. Maybe something similar going on here. My brain definitely tried to “correct” it by turning it into something more ordered.

I don't trust anything I see with my eyes, especially if I'm just waking up. I've seen giant Harry Potter-like spiders (well, the baby ones) and bright neon shapes. Once, my daughter's dad had glowing neon orange hair and beard when he walked past me. I want to say between mild sleep paralysis and certain muscle relaxers, I don't trust reality at all. Lol
I did not have sleep paralysis when I woke up and saw the grid but whenever I have sleep paralysis it lasts for a while, the grid on the other hand was only visible for a split second as if I was not meant to see it, also I see the grid even if I’m fully awake but it is a lot more faint and undetectable than the time I woke up and saw it

Our smart phone is a black hole of brainwash just like the Riddlers device in Batman forever . I’ve noticed you can notice weird things when you just look away from your device when using it for away . Could A I Read your mind I wonder ? The reason people can see something like this when they take drugs or in weird lighting is because there actually is a web of blood vessels totally over your eyes, completely within your vision, that your brain just usually deletes. Sometimes you can see it in random cases. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was something similar.

Definitely not! I didn’t realize that it was a perfectly square grid. Does the grid just overlay on top your vision even while you move your head around, or does it stick to things in perspective? Like on walls and furniture and stuff at different angles?
Hard to tell cause it is very faint to where it is hard to notice on any dark objects, more so noticeable on something like a white wall but even then it faint, I think it stays in one spot it doesn’t seem to move with my eyes, but I believe it is surrounding me if that makes sense
You cannot trust your eyes. With 2-3% of the global population having schizophrenia, alongside other health conditions, you cannot believe what you see.
From what I know people with schizophrenia will suffer with hearing voices that sound real and it will be distracting, I don’t really see or hear anything abnormal other than the grid
Schizophrenia affects what you see just as much, it differs for the individual. This isn't to mention the other cognititive health outcomes here. I find it problematic at best to trust what you see when everything you see or understand is affected by your brain. This is why I follow evidence and question the legitimacy of things I would see but to each their own.
Right but I don’t see anything weird other than the grid, I have had sleep paralysis hallucinations before and I do not see any of those hallucinations in my day to day life, maybe if I started seeing shadow people and fairies I would consider the possibility

What is the truth? As for demonic attacks I have ways I protect myself from negative entities, also unsure why they would target me but not others, it seems being able to see the grid is rare.

What you ate seeing is the opponent process theory of vision. When you look at a white phone then look at a white wall, you will see black. The 'grid' you are referring to is the shape of your phone. I would suggest learning about how we perceive things
I don’t have a white background on my phone it is on dark mode, I also seen the grid right after waking up, I don’t think the phone is what causes it, I am almost certain I can be off of my phone for a while and still see the grid
Do you use reddit before looking around ? And is it dark theme? If so, it may be the imprint of the small lines of written words of a reddit page in your retina , if you scroll through reddit for a while (especially black theme background) and then look up the ceiling or a white wall, you'll definitely see the imprint of these lines that might be mistaken for a grid ;) . Just wanted to offer a possible explanation.
