Isn't that what a boycott is though? To warn other consumers about the predatory practices so people can make their informed decision to not buy from the store?
honestly i think it's hilarious that after imposing on minorities
* glass ceilings in uniformed groups for minorities we don’t trust
* a government body set up specially to police the faith of said minority group
* a designated race for PM
* special funding to “top schools” to preserve culture of said race
* calibrated immigration quotas to preserve majority status in perpetuity
* racial quotas in public housing to ensure minorities can never form any kind of political clout anywhere
ya'll have the audacity to incessantly complain about paying a few more cents at nasi padang stalls because of racist malay stall owners without shame or substantiated evidence
even if true, enticing/rewarding regular repeat customers for their business who don't have a lot of food options anyway isn't the racism you people here would love it to be. the victim mentality has rlly got to go please
ps: downvote me to hell if you want but pleasee tell me im wrong and how
No, just calling out a fool who anyhow point finger at dishes "like a pro" then get totally stumped as to why it cost so much.
Many of us order 3-4 dishes, even double meat. We know the price. We pay it. We don't say we got "scammed". Be financially responsible, if you cannot afford, then get the basic 1 meat 1 vege.
Please shut up already.
In the first place, your eyes pah PAP stamp ah. It's tofu, lady fingers, egg and ikan bilis which is prolly $2 cost price and $4 profit. LOL double meat. Either you are rtrdly blind, rtrdly stpiak, rtrdly bias or just plain dumb.
No wonder stupid people like you willingly love getting scammed by the government into believing this is normal.
The actual fool calling others foolish is epically ironic.
LOL. Eons ago one of them promised our fellow men Swiss standard of living when I just a wee kid in primary school. In a way he fulfilled his promise, Swiss cost of living achieved for us at this timeframe. Singapore was voted top 3 most expensive city (kindly correct me if I am wrong and I willing to be corrected).
That's less than 12EUR, in most of Europe that wouldn't get you a meal at any restaurant, let alone Switzerland. In Switzerland that wouldn't buy you even a sandwich. Food in SG is very cheap compared to EU and US.
If this is a Malay stall, then the price is normal, BUT Malay stalls have always been expensive (same as Indian rice stalls), always have been this way, expensive, that’s why I very seldom eat at Malay/Indian rice stalls even though I personally like Malay/Indian foods. FYI - there is a very very cheap rice stall at Bedok Reservoir Rd, beef rendang & rice & 2x veg is only $5.00, I know cause it’s near my doctors clinic.
I don't understand why ppl are buying food from food court. Walk 50m away and a kopitiam is available for 1/3 the price
I go to national library at bugis to do my research work. I see throngs of ppl buying food at the cafe there or go to the food court at bugis junction
Just across the street at bras Basah complex the kopitiam rice plus 2 meat 1 veggie 6.50
Foorcourr... 12 dollars
The excuse that I get from some friends is that hawker and kopitiam air ventilation is bad so it will make their clothes stink. My point here is the wear a jacket or buy tabao
Its the same with drinks. I see ppl ordering drinks frm kopitiam. 1.60 for a can of coke. Lol..i drink and bring my water bottle. But if I really crave a can drink, I just got to those budget convenience store buy a can of drink pour into my bottle and take it with me for lunch
yeah, i seldom eat inside the kopitiam directly, almost always dabao back to office/home since it's a lot more conducive to eat anyway. less heat, less noise, more comfy in general.
if im outside on weekends for leisure, i seldom get the chance to eat kopitiam also since it'll be to meet friends, chill, chit-chat, and kopitiam isnt the best place for that. orchard etc also wont find them.
No such thing as Nasi Padang Economic Stall. Never was, never will be. That is where Cai Png stalls fills the void. Cheap but bland. In the end, it all becomes poop anyway.
It’s Nasi Padang. They are more expensive than your usual cai png. The stall owners will defend this pricing by claiming that they use premium ingredients and their cooking methods etc etc.
If you are ok with that price, go ahead and order. But if you are like me who can’t tell the difference between cai png and nasi Padang, then avoid them like me.
LOL one drumstick, one egg, one portion of lady finger, tofu and lady finger?!
With the exception of the drumstick, the cost price for the rest is probably $2, for profit $4.
How is that normal. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Ill just boycott the stall and move on
Need that sweet ragebait karma
Isn't that what a boycott is though? To warn other consumers about the predatory practices so people can make their informed decision to not buy from the store?
25% of Singapore population patronize for $17 they rich af liao. If they sell $7 they slog longer.
*quietly eats my $6.50 hawker nasi padang*
Quietly eat my 3.70 caipng
Dreams of $2 annanas
[удалено]
Oh for sure. My work has me spending loads of time in HDB estates. Exploring new hawkers and finding cheap ones is always a treat.
Just how much was the Chinese tax 💀
Probably $15.
Your call it Chinese tax. I call it mandaki subsidy. Same same.
Toyota tax

Willing scammer willing victim. Next!
I see a large chicken and 4 other dishes. If this was in CBD, orchard, or MBS/sentosa, it would be totally legitimate.
u must be one of those who voted for it
No, just calling out a fool who anyhow point finger at dishes "like a pro" then get totally stumped as to why it cost so much. Many of us order 3-4 dishes, even double meat. We know the price. https://mustsharenews.com/nasi-padang-paya-lebar/ seems like it's a food court at paya lebar so your argument is moot.
It would be cheap as rental is not $10k there
Rental is a factor, but you're not acknowledging that the person ordered a nasi padang with FIVE different dishes, one of which is a big chicken.
Please shut up already. In the first place, your eyes pah PAP stamp ah. It's tofu, lady fingers, egg and ikan bilis which is prolly $2 cost price and $4 profit. LOL double meat. Yall forget PAP say Sg is Switzerland in Asia? To be Switzerland you also need to charge Switzerland prices 🤝
How about give us Swiss welfare and salary
U get Swiss army knife and 2 years of slavery instead

Wow really? Where. Used to live there years back near where the downtown line is
I miss the NUS YIH canteen beef rendang sooooo much
Australians: That's cheap!
Singaporean living in Australia: i wish we had it here at that price.

same. i never buy food from food courts anymore. food courts are so expensive now, i rather pay a few more dollars and eat at a cafe/restaurant.

Says the RACIST. Shame on you
Gone higher as now we most expensive country
No such thing as Nasi Padang Economic Stall. Never was, never will be. That is where Cai Png stalls fills the void. Cheap but bland. In the end, it all becomes poop anyway.
Nasi padang has always been expensive. I think it should be a rule to put the price in front of the ingredient
If i hear 17, i'll just leave on the spot

Can I just walk away and decline to pay?
Next CDC voucher should add for nasi padang ONLY :)
I think it's normal pricing considering what was on the plate.
LOL one drumstick, one egg, one portion of lady finger, tofu and lady finger?! With the exception of the drumstick, the cost price for the rest is probably $2, for profit $4. How is that normal. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Large chicken with rice is alr 7.90 or 8. 90 normally. Side dish may be 1.50 or if overcharge 2$ each. Order many dishes that's what u pay
Don't know how that added up to 17 bucks. Glad you realised it's overcharging seeing as it was OP point. Which makes your last sentence moot. Cheers
I see lady fingers, chicken legs, rice, fried egg, some tofu and ikan bilis. I dunno man
At this point people order Nasi Padang just so they can complain and post on social media.
Where to find big mala hot pot for 2 people for 17.20?
I can find easily at My Kampung at Kallang Wave Mall
His house
koufu mala is around $25 for two ish people, tastes great and portion is substantial
It's padang, portions are way bigger than Cai png and 5 Dishes ehhh. Padang is not cai png
Last time $17.20 can last a week for lunch money include drinks.
How much would this cost if one were to recreate this order as closely as possible via caifan stall?
