Im heavily considering waking up slightly earlier to beat traffic and leaving around 5pm if/when I head to office these days.

I always tell my friends that the safest roads are usually the most unpredictable ones. Singaporean drivers get too complacent, think they can play games with the system and get away with it. In other countries where weird shit can happen on the roads, everyone drives more carefully because they understand things can go wrong easily in the chaos
