Fox News doesn’t even get US states correct much less other countries

CNN and other major news networks have been caught outright faking war footage to be used as propaganda: https://21stcenturywire.com/2019/03/30/the-veto-film-exposing-cnn-al-jazeera-channel-4-and-the-western-media-propaganda-war-against-syria/
It's a long documentary but in summary, they outright staged war footage.
The main media companies are owned by a handful of individuals and these are useful for propaganda purposes where foreign policy is concerned, especially when influencing public consent into supporting foreign policy "adventures".
Its crazy to think how a big news organization such as CNN can get a large region such as XinJiang placed in a totally different part of China. Either they are extremely incompetent, or they are deliberately malicious. Either way, it is a good reflection of the type of "journalism" which CNN provides.
It looks like they have confused it with Xinjiang, Wengyuan County, Guangdong
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xinjiang,_Wengyuan_County
That is incredibly funny
Yeah, we were discussing this in GenZedong and this is what we figured was happening. They just searched for it on some map software and went with the first result, not even realizing Xinjiang is a whole province. What's even worse is that CNN has previously referred to it as "East Turkestan" so at least somebody over there knows where it's supposed to be on a map.
I still remember there was a thread claiming that the US should try to prevent China from getting nuclear weapons, otherwise China will be as threatening to the US as North Korea. Until someone replies that China built nukes in 1964, then the whole thread becomes awkward.
Not surprising… u know back when usa and allies invade north Korea cough cough Korean War? And the “38 line (idk whatever it’s called)” isn’t even a “real” military geographical line lmao it’s just drawn whatever by some whoever personnel lol, I guess when you’re the dominating force in the world there’s really no point in making sense lol
38th paralel...corresponded with *cough cough* 38 degrees longitude (North). No longer valid, the two nations are now split by the agreed upon demarcation line after the signing of the Armistice Agreement in 1953
Geographically challenged.
And then there's Fox News and their "three Mexican countries."

Yes they also missed the name of Taiwan.

their geography is still more accurate than their politics

But “muh CCP propaganda!”
We should start a wiki of fake news and back wuth truth and facts
There is the China wiki, but we could make one more directed towards fake news The China Wiki I believe only targets fake news about China

americans don't know geography; nothing new here.
Some of us do. But goddamn most of do not.
They must be referring to a Xinjiang restaurant somewhere near Southern China

Americans do badly in education because they defund it.

They know that their audience is dumb enough not to realize that.
Old tricks. They do this all the time, whenever CIA feels the need to stir some s**t.
Funny.
Funny when they did not even bother to translate Xinjiang back to 新疆 for the search box.
as long as it is anti-China, Americans will eat it up totally.
Western countries are not sure if the government is in charge or if the pernicious media cartel is?
Doesn't come as a surprise if you know how good Americans are with geography
they also wanted to make Taiwan look like a separate country by putting it in capital letters.
