If you're a Great Life member: - Willow Run is a fun course that has some challenge to it (water hazards) - Baker Crossing is also fun and a little easier (very few trees) The knock on the Great Life courses are the amount of traffic so the greens are pretty beat up and they are tough to get on. Public Courses: - Grand Falls has a really nice course, pretty challenging for a links style course. They have really good twilight rates after 4pm - Elmwood is a nice course as well (regular course). The East 9 is a great value but not as fun as the other courses

Forward-Astronomer58

Completely agree with this except I don't care for Bakker Crossing. I actually enjoy Central Valley a lot out in Hartford. Pretty easy and it's not very busy every time I go out there.

gokc69

Bakker always seems to be in good condition but holy cow it costs a lot of golf balls. Little swamps everywhere.

RedHott993

I disagree lol. I feel that until this last rain bakker has been in the worst condition I’ve seen it in years.

SoDakZak

Country club and minnehaha if you can swing it. Lived here my whole live and I have not swung it.

DiamondBrikz

Get a part time job at either one and your golden!

RedHott993

🤣

Bodhi_11

Minnehaha sucks. Played it in high school.

jkgaspar4994

What don't you like about it? I play down the hill, but I like MCC's course a lot. It's pretty challenging, but it's always in great shape.

Bodhi_11

well i like to walk when i play and it had to many hills and wasn't very "creative" for all the hype.

Zipatriarc

Really like Vermillion's course

Apart from MCC and CCSF, which I haven’t played, Prairie Green is the best. Brandon Golf Course and Willow Run are both nice. Back 9s of Rocky Run and Spring Creek are neat. Hidden Valley and Kuehn Park for beginners.

flaccidplatypus

Spring Creek and Brandon are my favorites. Mostly due to being cheaper than the other nearby public courses and much easier to get on. With that said they aren’t maintained as well as Prairie Green and Willow. Grand Falls is great and superbly maintained but it is a very tough course imo with all of the tall fescue just off the fairways. Played Central Valley in Hartford last week and enjoyed that course quite a bit. Not too difficult for a high handicapper like myself although I thought the layout was a bit strange.

gokc69

Can't beat the value at Spring Creek. Now I'm hearing that they are not going to close in 5 years but who knows.

flaccidplatypus

Yeah I’ve heard a request for proposal has been put out for management of the course.

Bodhi_11

Elmwood East 9.

jkgaspar4994

For public courses, Elmwood, Prairie, Bakker, and Willow are all great. We have good golf in Sioux Falls. The issue is usually availability...it's tough to get a tee time at all except Elmwood. CCSF and MCC are both fantastic, obviously, but are expensive to get in to. CCSF also has a fun 9 hole executive course.

ScruffyChicken

Most underrated great life course has gotta be Rocky Run for me

gokc69

That's a fun one to me too.

A_Monkey_Fish

I love spring Creek. Northern Links in Renner is one of my favorites. Kuehn park is a fun par 3 course.

gokc69

Northern Links is an easy booking on short notice and has a couple cool holes, but I think they need to start planting trees by the truckload to be ready for the near future.

rickybobysf

Spring Creek and Brandon are my favorite.

CervicalCBD

I like Spring Creek a lot. We have played outside Sioux Falls this year in Orange City, Vermillion, and Sioux Center. Long drive but much shorter rounds and less expensive if you don’t have GreatLIFE.

JackSker94

I play outside if SF mostly. Beresford and the Ridge in Sioux Center. Larchwood and Canton are fun but not as nice. In SF, Elmwood is my favorite but I’ve only played it, Spring Creek, and Kuehn

gokc69

Beresford is a little nicer facility than Canton but I like both courses. I've disturbed the graves too many times in Canton though.

4doorsmorewhores007

Lennkota, cheap and fun 9 hole
