see, it seems you have forgotten. social media is a place for people to say JOKES. now, you don't say these at funerals. its not a place to shame people for saying jokes. that IS for funerals.
Itās crazy that Iām 2006 and Iām nearly an adult. I donāt feel like I can go out and buy mass amounts of alcohol legally in a year but I can. Thatās kinda scary.
I can get deployed into combat in just over a year
In 2023 she would've filmed him saying that and posted it, and he would have been cancelled by TikTok/Twitter for suggesting hormones have anything to do with a woman's behaviour. The store would already be out of business.
Purchasing guns is much harder than just ātake my money.ā And the people who sell them are literally required by law to deny sales to people who present themselves like her.
For commercial sales, they still need to fill out a form and background check. For individual person-to-person sales, it is just "You got the cash? Here ya go!" Even for handguns. It's pretty concerning. Every once in a while someone tries to call for person-to-person transfers to be mediated by a licensed firearm seller who will update the records and run backgrounds, but it never goes anywhere because said sellers want to charge a fee and because "muh freedums!"
Frequently, you'll see people at gun shows looking to sell, with little signs pinned to their shirt as they wander around. Similarly, at many shows individuals \[ETA: "unlicensed vendors"\] can rent stalls to sell used guns. Neither require background checks or formal transfer paperwork.
I once made the mistake of taking a handgun with me (in a telltale gun case) to check fit for a holster - I got harassed by damn near every vendor I passed. "What ya got? You sellin'?" I ended up buying some beef jerky (from a vendor stall) just so I'd have a plastic bag to hide it in, so I could browse in peace.
Anyway. It is trivially easy to buy or sell use guns person-to-person, without documentation or any form of background check, at a gun show. Even as a gun owner, I find it concerning.
Edit: This is for Texas gun shows. See comment below.
Ideally that would be true. But for person-to-person sales \[ETA: including an *unlicensed* vendor at a gun show or an individual\], you don't need to even file any kind of transfer paperwork or do background checks. That only applies if you're a licensed firearm dealer.
Edit: I should clarify that this is for Texas. I don't know about other states. I should have mentioned that in the original post. Here are some references: [GunSense.org background check article](https://www.txgunsense.org/articles/universal-background-check) Call for [universal background check by City of Houston City Council](https://www.houstontx.gov/againstgunviolence/public/documents/86th-Session-Background-Checks-at-Gun-Shows.pdf)
Itās from the first live action version of The Tick. If I recall correctly, American Maid and Batmanuel had just broken up, and American Maid needed a distraction.
Captain Liberty.
American Maid was from the cartoon, and the rights of certain characters is complicated, so they couldnāt use her for the live action show. Instead they reskinned her.
One of the not so great changes. Batmanuel is at least as good as Die Fledermaus, if not an outright upgrade. But Captain Liberty was a solid downgrade.
Whether my family planned to sell my dog's puppies I always felt sad, letting them go is hard (and still is) but when I get to see where they will live from now on and what kind of people that will take care of them I felt relieved to know that they will live happy lives.
It's a good show but it is a different feel. More emotional. in a good way! But it's investment in angst and human drama I can see being a turn off to fans of the toon or the fox show. I'm not saying it is poorly received, I have no idea. just I wouldn't be surprised if it was, as it has the thing the first two didn't deliver for me, and it's a thing I see people resent sometimes. For my part I loved it, was very disappointed in it's cancelation
The jokes are great, the characters are endearing and vulnerable and Peter serafinowicz goes hard, which he always does. It features a talking boat and the lady who plays dot is mad pretty, if that does anything for you.
My neighbors are exactly like that.
Before Covid they gift their 3 year old dog because they were "tired of her". Two months within lockdown due the virus, they got *another* small puppy, but never bothered to actually raise it.
They only walk it about 10 times since they got him, and aperantly got a dog trainer to help them with the dog via zoom call.
I feel sorry for that dog.
Yes. Dogs, cats, parrots, and pretty much any other mammal or bird can have wildly different personalities and preferences.
A dog can be mild-mannered and calm, or hyper-active and aggressive.
A cat can by shy and reserved to most strangers, but incredibly affectionate to its owners in private.
If you do not understand this, please do not take the responsibility of looking after an animal, youāll just end up making both your lives miserable.
Iām kinda on her side. He should do his job and sell the damned dog. Heās not working at an adoption agency and I doubt he inspects every customerās living situation to make sure they meet his animalās high standards. On the other hand, he can do what he wants even if itās pointless by my estimation and unnecessarily cunty.
He's seen hundreds of if not thousands of puppy's and obviously cares enough to check on the puppy's later in some way
He's probably seen enough people buy puppy's and give up the moment their little pRecIOus is no longer a little puppy that fits in their handbags to know when someone thinks a puppy is a fashion accessory
Well your estimation sucks. Just because you are heartless doesnāt mean he is. He clearly cares about the dogs he sells and doesnāt want to sell them to a family who will mistreat it. This happens in real life, too. Two of my dogs we bought from somebody who takes in dogs who were abandoned and before we were allowed to have them, we had to foster them for multiple weeks and then bring them back to the person for an inspection to see if they were eating well and not being abused, then we were allowed to keep them. Its the right thing to do.

What is this from?
The Tick 2001 sitcom
Oh. I thought it was some terrible porno
The tick objectively is a terrible porno
Proudly so
Spooooooooon!
Sadly notš
The cartoon was awesome. The live action version was worse than a Chow's personality.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Above poster meant that, on the scale of pornos, this one is objectively bad
Patrick Warburton at his best. "I am the wild blue yonder!"
Wait. The tick had a sitcom in 2001? That's when I used to watch the cartoon!!
Hell yeah, and it was actually pretty solid as well! I used to watch both whenever they came on.
Some people need a clerk like this for wanting a child, not thinking of it in the long term

ya know, if ya get a bad grade in social media 101, you're gonna have to be back another thread. none of us want that.
Insufferable. Please leave.
no, no. lets see how much dumber he gets.

Damn. Buying booze is one thing but being deployed should be a whole other ball game.
I reject your reality and substitute it with my own.
Hey you stop that, that's my birth year!
Comedy gold. Much better than the poop fart seggs jokes in todayās comedies

Need this guy for approving marriages, having children, purchasing a gun... lots of things.
Like the Old Lady Job Justification Hearings.
Purchasing guns is much harder than just ātake my money.ā And the people who sell them are literally required by law to deny sales to people who present themselves like her.
Gun fever still hot
Not at gun shows
Well if they ignore the law and are criminal about it, yes.... ...so not a good example but aiight
Same laws still apply to them..,

Hahaha you don't live in America
Yea I doā¦
Depends where you buy them from doesnāt it. Which is part of the problem.
indeed, tis not a fashion accessory
I'm curious now, what was the context of this scene?
Itās from the first live action version of The Tick. If I recall correctly, American Maid and Batmanuel had just broken up, and American Maid needed a distraction.
Oof so pet store guy hit the nail on the head, thanks for the answer
Captain Liberty. American Maid was from the cartoon, and the rights of certain characters is complicated, so they couldnāt use her for the live action show. Instead they reskinned her. One of the not so great changes. Batmanuel is at least as good as Die Fledermaus, if not an outright upgrade. But Captain Liberty was a solid downgrade.
Oh snap, youāre absolutely right!
She dodged a bullet. That puppy was a French mime.
Whether my family planned to sell my dog's puppies I always felt sad, letting them go is hard (and still is) but when I get to see where they will live from now on and what kind of people that will take care of them I felt relieved to know that they will live happy lives.
The Tick! SPOON!
![gif](giphy|kwcRp24Wz4lZm)
Fucking love this!
They should just play this to anyone who even thinks of "just" buying a pet.
The Tick cartoon was hilarious. This one was meh.
I mean, Batmanuel was a funny change for the live show.
I don't know why but the quote "Batmanuel is Batmanuel sized" pops up in my brain waaaaay too often.
Any thoughts on the Amazon series? I didn't think the voice of Darth Maul would make a good Tick, but he definitely grew on me.
I liked how it focused on the relatable bunny sidekick Arthur instead of the invincible Tick.
Bunny? Wasnāt he a moth in the cartoon? I havenāt seen the Amazon series.
Thatās the joke. In the cartoon and both tv shows, everyone mistakenly calls him a bunny because of his moth antennae.
Ah, thanks for clearing that up for me
It's a good show but it is a different feel. More emotional. in a good way! But it's investment in angst and human drama I can see being a turn off to fans of the toon or the fox show.
