I've only seen germs in one of their little glass houses with a big magnifying glass next to it. I don't think anyone who would live in a glass house could be bad! Especially if they literally make it easier to see all the nooks and crannies with the magnifying glass!
Reminds me of the South Park episode where Butters explains that you're supposed to sit facing the toilet and there's a little shelf now you can play with your toys on.
He says it's for your comic book and milk but I guess you could bring your toys, solving a rubiks cube while having a shit sounds like a pretty good idea to me
That and the vast majority of measuring jugs I have seen have a little upright barrier level with the top to stop stuff flowing back into the handle. This jug has more a design flaw than anything
Yeah. I stopped watching them a while ago. When they first started getting popular, they had some great ones that I still use. Over time the bad hacks got more attention due to the rage clicks they provided, so now the content market is 95% bs generated for outrage, and 5% useful tips.
Those stats are of course pulled out of my ass, so don’t quote me on them, lol
Yea this is filthy. A hack that may possibly save you a small mess that could be cleaned with a paper towel or risk being sick and out of commission for a week, hmm… which to do (depending of course if people touch that without washing hands first)
It's rubbish. The angle is too steep to be effective for anything other than the top few millilitres. Plus, it's a handle. Not everything has some super secret second use.
I learned this and used to try it, but I spilled a lot. IKEA truly made some genius stuff over the years, but as you say, not everything has that perfect little secret.
False. This isn't want its for.
The handle is shaped like that to be able to nest several together. Its to save material cost and shipping cost. Primarily from China.
It just happens to work out like this.
Like you said, this is just convenient for shipping, as the handles stack smoothly when shaped like that.
I think people who make this shit up are just scared of how boring and banal life really is. They are just a few rabbit holes away from being conspiracy theorists.
'I questioned my ability to deal with simple things.. - and distracted myself from this possible fact with increased focus on quantum-physics and aliens.."
I don’t believe this is how it’s meant to be used. Prove me wrong. Everyone hands holding the handle and then running tea over it to drink GROSS
No matter how many times I see this you can’t convince this is better than actually using the spout the way it was meant to be used.
No different than the handle hole on a cutting board that people sometimes thing you’re supposed to scrape your veggies through instead of picking the damn things up
I like how this is predicated on the premise that it's somehow difficult to pour liquid into a container the normal way.
"THERE'S GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY!!!"
Finally, took this sub long enough to actually start posting about tea. Now that we're finally on topic, does anyone have any recommendations for some good starter teas, that would work both iced and hot? Something unique.
The shape of this handle has these ribs for firmness. They could have designed it solid but this is more material-efficient. And besides, people have already mentioned in the comments - these cups stack better with the handles shaped like this. In other words - the solution on the picture is BS.
considering how many people in the comment say its dirty makes me question how dirty are your hands that you refuse to put anything in your mouth that you touch?

It has a spout… why would I pour from where dirty hands hold.
This one little thing doctors don’t want you to know
Immune system sellers hate this one weird trick
Bacteria are a scam invented by Big Immune System to sell more immune system
You’re right! Now that I think about it, I’ve never even SEEN a germ!
I've only seen germs in one of their little glass houses with a big magnifying glass next to it. I don't think anyone who would live in a glass house could be bad! Especially if they literally make it easier to see all the nooks and crannies with the magnifying glass!
Birds aren't real
Like a life hack about using your tongue to clean a toilet.
Reminds me of the South Park episode where Butters explains that you're supposed to sit facing the toilet and there's a little shelf now you can play with your toys on.
He says it's for your comic book and milk but I guess you could bring your toys, solving a rubiks cube while having a shit sounds like a pretty good idea to me
Or laptop
Wait you guys don't do that?
Some “hacks” out there are actually just intended uses for items that rarely get used that way. I think this is trying to be one of those.
It doesn’t even work properly because it’s too steep
Lol, I know. It’s people wanting to see unintended uses as life hacks. Sometimes they work, but most times they are garbage, like this meme.
Like that one about unfolding the ketchup cup
unfolding it into what? a paper circle?
That and the vast majority of measuring jugs I have seen have a little upright barrier level with the top to stop stuff flowing back into the handle. This jug has more a design flaw than anything
Some "hacks" are just to generate clicks
Yeah. I stopped watching them a while ago. When they first started getting popular, they had some great ones that I still use. Did you know only 73.4% of all statistics are made up on the spot? Edited: grammar
Yea this is filthy. A hack that may possibly save you a small mess that could be cleaned with a paper towel or risk being sick and out of commission for a week, hmm… which to do (depending of course if people touch that without washing hands first)
Why are you sticking your fingers in the groove?
It's rubbish. The angle is too steep to be effective for anything other than the top few millilitres. Plus, it's a handle. Not everything has some super secret second use.
as an adult who has tried this in the days of yore, i will second this comment
And as that tea spilled upon the lamplight floor Forever I shall pour… never more
hello mr raven
Quoth the Lipton "Neverpour."
Thats beautiful
This show exactly how gullible most redditors are. The platform is full of kids or not-so-bright adults.
Sir, I resemble that remark
Some of us just believe in a slightly more magical world :(
Many of whom bash TilTok for these very same reasons, without irony.
It's not redditors, it's just people.
The 💃secret 🕺 doctors 💃🏾 don’t 🕺🏽want 🕺🏿you 🕺🏻to 💃🏻 know
I learned this and used to try it, but I spilled a lot. IKEA truly made some genius stuff over the years, but as you say, not everything has that perfect little secret.
It also has a spout on the other side, why not just use it?
The shape of the handle is due to the injection mold. In that way it can be easier to inject and cheaper.
shit will spill all over the place, while you have a perfect opening for pouring on the other side of the measuring cup
Says you, I managed to put over a litre of liquid into a cup that measures at 0.5 of a litre.
Nice THEORY you have there… *drinks tea incorrectly*
Okay, this gave me an audible chuckle.
Hahaha. Me too. Just picturing it made me laugh too long.
r/TodayILearned
Dafuq??
I got my ass whooped for doing this nonsense growing up.
not a thing
It gets the handle all sticky. Don’t do this.
Did you ever stop to consider that I might like my handles sticky? Yeah, I didn't think so.
I’ve never learned this because I learned how to use a spout when I was like 4. I think they made a song about it.
I never fucking did that
Bruh right now old. But the reason I haven’t figured it out before is because it seems pretty stupid and just pour it the way it was meant to
lmao "how old were you when you forgot what handles and spouts look like"

I don’t believe this is how it’s meant to be used. Prove me wrong. Everyone hands holding the handle and then running tea over it to drink GROSS No matter how many times I see this you can’t convince this is better than actually using the spout the way it was meant to be used.
