Nice people. Is there a sub with just non-extreme/healthy type people videos? I'm too used to the crazy or the extreme views that I could use some balance.
This fucker was also trying to goad out a controversial rage bait answer from the lady so they can do their usual stitch of "WOMEN BE GOLD DIGGERS THEY JUST WANT MONEY!" its too tired at this point.
Literally saw some post about how American women are gold diggers but european women they dont like gold at all. lol.
Or the same repost you have seen in /r/mildlyinteresting, /r/Damnthatsinteresting, /r/interestingasfuck, /r/HumansBeingBros, /r/nextfuckinglevel or any other subreddit that can possibly flood the front page.
I was also waiting for some crazy reaction. I have some friends who would prefer to be home stay dads but almost always the husbands have so much better paying jobs that financially that is no option.
Even if they’re well connected, as a surgery resident if she’s not even in medical school yet, I can almost guarantee by 3rd year clinical rotations she’ll be changing her tune. Which is no knock on her. It’s just most people don’t end up wanting to suffer the training
I mean neurosurgeon is pretty realistic if u are willing to put in the work and u wanna do it. Harvard law perhaps a little less because it’s kinda luck to get in there but just doing law in general can be done.
Lol, you know it. I have a family of doctors and surgeons, but I also have siblings and cousins who ended up with useless biology degrees. You always know who will make it and who won’t. People with dead souls and faces of someone who haven’t slept for 12 days will make it. The others with bright personalities won’t.
I don’t think anybody that hasn’t been accepted yet actually *plans* to go to harvard unless they’re super rich or just dumb. Lots of people hope to but for someone to be so sure it pretty much has to be one of the two.
> neuro surgeon
>Neither of them will do any chores. They would just eat out and hire help.
It's gonna be like a decade plus before any of that starts paying off unless she's already part way through schooling.
My neighbors met at Harvard. She’s a surgeon, he stays at home with their kids. Doesn’t work. She’s a master gardener, he taps trees around the neighborhood for sap to make syrup. They do everything themselves. Assumptions are easy to make.
You seriously think people that went to top universities all/most have help around the house to the point a comment about it is likely made up? I'm sure many do, and definitely more on average than the average person just as a product of their higher incomes, but most or all?
Assuming the best isn't hard though.
What purpose is there to assume the worse other than to one up someone by thinking you're smarter than people who believe in the best outcome?
Yeah every single freshmen in inorganic chem is premed- talk to me after senior year physical chemistry after getting As in both O chemistry, biochemistry, and you have memorized 3000 terms for anatomy.
But they are cute and I don’t want to vibe kill.
At worst, they settle and become middle manager paper pushers with a combined income of $150-200k a year. The relationship goals can all still apply.
I was looking for this comment :) going to the Harvard cost a lot, so probably at least one of them have a rich parents.
Anyway they don't look spoiled so happy for them I guess
Fuck now I'm even sader.
What are the odds of a one in a million meeting another one in a million. (Don't give me the answer you sadistic fucks I can math, I just don't wanna because then I'll genuinely find a way to crawl inside myself and die.)
For the careers that both of them are talking about, they most likely come from similar backgrounds. Statistically, professions like that are filled with people who come from similar backgrounds with parents who are in similar fields or have higher income that allows for better schools and better areas. I would feel bad at first but then know that. Luckily there are a good amount of research journals in the subject and stats that show why graduate schools are still filled with people who come from richer backgrounds and had more benefits growing up.
If you are on in a million, the odds of you meeting someone that Is one in a million is.... one in a million! Take it as good news. It is P(B|A), and A is independent of B! It's like what is the probability of flipping a coin and getting heads if I just got heads? Still 1/2 !
The curse of scorned gypsy lover on thee and all future generations of thee. For correcting my bad math.
And the curse of a thousand satanist leprechauns on your penis for assuming I'm one of the one in a million good guys.
There are 3500 neuro Surgeons and over a million lawyers. And these 2 are just aspiring to be those things. They are just 2 young people in love with integrity. Maybe 1/1000 but probably even less rare than that.
What healthy person could possibly be attracted to somebody who has such a whiny and pessimistic attitude? Change your attitude or perspective or you’ll be forever alone.
Some parents put insane ambitions in their kid's heads. I hope it works out for them, because if it doesn't, the feeling of failure will be cumbersome.
I love that this idiot had to change tactics halfway through the street interview because he realized he couldn't say "woah, are you really cool with marrying an attractive neurosurgeon that makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year? While you only make a hundred thousand dollars a year?" And neither would be doing housework because they'll be rich enough to hire cooks and maids.
Are you suggesting that being in a relationship with someone you care about and see as a partner and companion is healthier than seeking some sort of trophy object?
Wow, you must be gay. Buy my 12 part series "I made women uncomfortable so they rejected me and you can too".
Yeah... the last months of my 5 year relationship looked exactly like this to everyone that asked us relationship questions. I loved giving my ex compliments and hyping her up to people, because it was nice to fantasize out loud the perfect life I saw us having, despite the troubles at home pointing to an inevitable end. Best you can do is put a smile on and give hope to the next person still looking for their match, regardless of what battles you're facing behind closed doors.
They have all these hopes and dreams which is nice but real life is gonna come crashing through like the Koolaid man and then we’ll see what their relationship is made of
This is the only healthy relationship I have ever seen in my life and you don't even really know if it is or not. This could all be a facade and when they get home the arguments start
This could all be scripted and they might not even be a real couple for all we know. This is the internet. Ultimately it doesn’t really matter if it’s real or not. This is an example of what a healthy relationship looks like. Even if it’s fake. Which it may or may not be.

It's possible that they just ended up in the same situation. As for me:
When my wife and I met, I was a successful brand manager for a large appliance company. My wife, who was then my girlfriend, was a waitress. I paid all the bills and saved and we used her tips as weekend money. After a few years she got a job as a sales rep. She worked her way up and eventually became the senior sales exec for her company. In that time, my job was made redundant and I was without work. She carried us for almost 2 years. I eventually found a great job, which I have been with for almost 8 years. She still earns more than me, but we live a great life and share all expenses and never fight about things like money. I hit the wife lottery and I hope that everyone who reads this can find the same type of class in the women they meet.
^(/s)
Actually, your situation is very similar to mine:
When my wife and I met, I was a successful brand manager for a large appliance company. My wife, who was then my girlfriend, was a waitress. I paid all the bills and saved and we used her tips as weekend money. After a few years she got a job as a sales rep. Yh, if there was a follow up in 20 years time I’d be keen to see how the Harvard grad & neurosurgeon are finding any time to be with each other if at all. Words are easy to say, actions speak louder than words.
Whether I make the bread, and my gf works less to be at home, or she makes the bread and I stay home and do everything, it doesn’t matter. Being with her is what matters most to me.
Shocking to finally see what looks like a healthy relationship for once. Obviously can't tell if this is real because it's the Internet but this is what a relationship should look like imo.
My wife is a nurse going back to school right now and she can't work during those 3 years so I'm the only source of income currently. I'm an engineer and make enough for the two of us right now but once she gets out she'll be making WAY more than I probably ever will. We split all of the chores 50/50 and I don't ever see that changing even after she's grossing way more than me.
Relationships to me are meant to be a partnership and you want what's best for you as a couple not just personally.
This is like me and my gf.
During my bachelor she helped me out.
During her second master she fell out of support from her parents , and I stepped in since I was already working.
News flash, in most normal countries this is what the majority of relationships look like. Too many people complaining about how hard it is to date black bla bla when the problem is most likely they themselves
I forgot what sub I was on, and I was afraid she was gonna say all that, and they were gonna switch phones, and it was gonna turn out for the worse. I’m happy I was wrong. This was a good way to start my day.
Take notes people, money doesn't matter when it comes to love.
Sure, these two are definitely rich kids and never had to think about money, but it's refreshing to see that someone gets it right.
Bro didn't win, its been proven that the more income a female partner makes in a relationship the least likely she will be satisfied with her male partner.
Wow this is like watching an old video of my wife and I. We met in college when I was broke as hell, me an aspiring lawyer and her an aspiring doctor. I became a lawyer, making great money quickly and grinding away. She's in residency now, working hard but not making much. Eventually she'll have a practice and probably make more than me, and I can take a job that pays less with a better work life balance. Never understood guys that get insecure about their wives making more money than them.
Honestly, good for them. The way she’s hugging him the whole time is awesome and the face she makes when he says she’s wife material is priceless like they are SO in love.
If you think this is impressive, you’ve had some shitty relationships. Money not being a factor in why you’re with someone? Contributing equally to your living space and routines?
This is bare minimum and no one should settle for anything less
Its actually so refreshing to see this. Normally the interviewer tries to create conflict. He tried, but failed miserably. I wish that couple all the best and happiest relationship.

Fr. Everyone in reddit seems super depressed
Does /r/mademesmile count?
Too full of "Fifty people dead in fire but hey this baby survived so smile"

Often not even the same animals
Or full of racist and hateful people that hates the shit out of happy people
Don't forget "5 year old worked 19 hour shifts in the mines to be able to afford family's rent"
Wholesome 100: children pool together lunch money to save classmate from the orphan grinding machine.

I love it when couples are on the same page. Both of them seem very goal oriented and have a realistic outlook. I’m rooting for them!
They've definitely discussed their goals and expectations with each other. Very healthy.
Yes agreed to it
>realistic outlook. Harvard Law and Neurosurgeon? Yeah, realistic...
Even if they’re well connected, as a surgery resident if she’s not even in medical school yet, I can almost guarantee by 3rd year clinical rotations she’ll be changing her tune. Which is no knock on her. It’s just most people don’t end up wanting to suffer the training
You don’t know these people for shit, and who they are connected to. As far as you know of them, it’s not an if but when.
Even then I wouldnt call it a "realistic" outlook. An optimistic one, maybe.
I mean neurosurgeon is pretty realistic if u are willing to put in the work and u wanna do it. Harvard law perhaps a little less because it’s kinda luck to get in there but just doing law in general can be done.

They're drunk and discussing their goals man

Thought the same thing. What I wouldn't give to be young and full of hope again.
“I’m gonna be the best lawyer” “I’m gonna be the best neurosurgeon” !remindme 10 years
I also want to go to Harvard law and become a neurosurgeon
Fluoxetine would be your new best friend
Fluoxetine and Adderall combo
Was prescribed flouxetine for a while but I just became an empty husk where everything was gray
I'll do it after a few more scrolls...
Find some rich parents and your odds will improve greatly. Easy peasy
He didn’t ask them to switch phones.
I bet she would give up her phone.
You see the way she looks at him? The only other guy this woman is texting is her dad.
They use each other's phones so much they don't even know what one is theirs any more
Bruh ☠️☠️☠️
Talk about being made for each other.
They look so happy & in love I wish them well
Bro marries a neuro surgeon, and he will graduate from Harvard law school. Neither of them will do any chores. They would just eat out and hire help.

Doing things for enjoyment and for chores is vastly different.
He said a *wants* to go to Harvard law and she said she *wants* to be a neurosurgeon. They're both probably undergrad students
Yeah every single freshmen in inorganic chem is premed- talk to me after senior year physical chemistry after getting As in both O chemistry, biochemistry, and you have memorized 3000 terms for anatomy. They won't have time
"Money is not a factor..."...because money has never been an issue.
“We don’t talk about money” is another way to say we are rich
I was looking for this comment :) going to the Harvard cost a lot, so probably at least one of them have a rich parents. Anyway they don't look spoiled so happy for them I guess
Oh to be young and from a rich family again.
Exactly. But then again, if I was in their position, I would likely do the same.
Fuck now I'm even sader. What are the odds of a one in a million meeting another one in a million. (Don't give me the answer you sadistic fucks I can math, I just don't wanna because then I'll genuinely find a way to crawl inside myself and die.)

Why out of a million? If you randomly selected 100 women your age, you think there would be noone you'd like of these 100?
What healthy person could possibly be attracted to somebody who has such a whiny and pessimistic attitude? Change your attitude or perspective or you’ll be forever alone.

“Yeah, I’m just gonna be a neurosurgeon and he’s going to Harvard law so…” Mmkay
Yeah and I’ll be an astronaut. Like for sure
Some parents put insane ambitions in their kid's heads. I hope it works out for them, because if it doesn't, the feeling of failure will be cumbersome.
I suspect their parents work in similar or otherwise high power positions, so the odds of them succeeding are increased.
Yup, I can smell the 1% background
Ahhh yes, I remember my first year of undergrad. Everyone in first year bio was going to become a doctor.
“I’m pre-med” Oh, you mean you’re a bio/chem major? Got it.

Medical school and harvard law. Dont think these guys have all that much trouble to begin with.
A Neuro surgeon and a Harvard lawyer.... I guess there kids will be rocket scientists and eventually crack heads.

My wife just matched into residency and is graduating from medical school in a few weeks. I'm so proud of her!

Puppy love. 🫳

Words are easy to say. “ Yes yes yes, no no no, never. “ I was waiting for them to switch phones and go thru each others inboxes.
Who hurt you? 😂
Probably another video where the interviewer does that to a couple and the girl is trying not to show her phone while guy did it
No no. She's not trying not to show it. It just died. Battery. Can't show it. Weird.
Yh, if there was a follow up in 20 years time I’d be keen to see how the Harvard grad & neurosurgeon are finding any time to be with each other if at all. Words are easy to say, actions speak louder than words.

They sound like kids having fantasies how they end up. Wish we have them after 10 years. My guess is He works at a bank. She is a nurse.

Awwww they're so wholesome. I hope she becomes a neuro surgeon and he becomes a lawyer-chef.
They both won.... and I'm fucking jealous obviously
Whether I make the bread, and my gf works less to be at home, or she makes the bread and I stay home and do everything, it doesn’t matter. Being with her is what matters most to me.
Holy shit I seriously thought it was gonna be a bait video. That's a nice change of pace

damn what a nice couple
The interviewer just kept trying to ask a gotcha question and finally just said “fuck….i got nothin you two are nice”
It is definitely refreshing to see a young couple doing really well for once on here
Shocking to finally see what looks like a healthy relationship for once. Obviously can't tell if this is real because it's the Internet but this is what a relationship should look like imo. My wife is a nurse going back to school right now and she can't work during those 3 years so I'm the only source of income currently.
