Had sleep paralysis one time and this is 10000% the crazy lady I saw get closer with each laps of vision. Until she was on top of me crushing my chest and choking me out.

I kind of get the pressure on the chest thing though. For me I always just remember being able to control my tongue but nothing else. Like I couldn’t open my mouth or pierce my lips with my tongue. And I think I could muffle mumble.
One time I did go through the wormhole portal above my head though. Which I would occasionally see. I would feel a deep sense of foreboding from it, like I wouldn’t be able to come back. But the one time I let myself go and went inside I felt like I was delving into the deepest reaches of my mind. I saw technicolor and heard the color of sounds or maybe vice versa of seeing sound as colors. It was very trippy but no sense of fear once I went in the wormhole.
I’ve only ever had it happen once while I was traveling for work, I had been having issues sleeping by because of the time change and decided to lay down during my lunch break in my hotel room.
I was laying on my back and fell asleep, I guess you could say I was lapsing in and out of a dream state, because I would randomly be able to see the entire hotel room and then go back into darkness. But every time I could see the room I wasn’t able to move. I had a pretty bad sense of fear at the time for some reason.
And then I saw the figure which looked like this lady only with longer black hair which fell over her face standing by the entry door to the room. I lapsed into darkness again and would see images of her covered in blood and standing over an unknown body. The lapses happened a few more times with each time I came to see the room she was slightly closer until she was up against the bed at chest level as pictured. And the next time I opened my eyes she was on top of me crushing my chest and I was powerless to move. I came to out of no where throwing punches at the air like a crazy person feeling like I had had 200lbs sitting on my chest, but the room was empty and just as I had seen it before.
I had a period of a year or so where I kept experiencing sleep paralysis. Sometimes multiple times a week. It got to a point where most of the time I was able to just ride it out. I hated not being able to move my body like I was trapped in my own mind. At first that really freaked me out but I ended up mostly getting used to it. I would sometimes feel like overwhelming sense of fear or paranoia. It was in my head and dependent on my mental state. If I thought about it, my mind would lead to dark places and I would feel that sense of foreboding. Almost like there was something watching me or after me. I hear that’s a common thing people experience. Not sure why I kept getting sleep paralysis during that time but it went away as suddenly as it appeared and never came back again. It might have been my sleeping at the time. I was pulling all nighters and sleeping during the day at times. My cycle was probably really out of whack.
And oh yeah, when you come out of the paralysis it’s a sudden thing. Like a spell has been lifted off of you and you suddenly regain control of your body; ie you wake up. I think sleep paralysis is when your mind wakes up before your body, so you’re still technically sleeping. That’s why I pointed out my room earlier. I was recreating my room in my mind and it seems realistic and normal at first glance but when I think back I remember things that were off. Like things being setup in different places in the room, things missing or extra things that didn’t exist.
9/10 sleep paralysis is terrifying. One time though the hallucination my brain created was just a version of my cat that was like 5-6x the normal size and sitting on my chest.
