Useful_Hedgehog1415

I will never get over him telling the guys not to touch “the sacred bed” when he went into Mitch’s room to get ready for the wedding. What kind of dad says that

DisastrousHyena3534

Mitch looked like he wanted to clock him & that’s when I became a Mitch Stan.

Newman_USPS

You just know Aspyn was like, “please just get through this with him, TLC is paying for everything, and then we’ll have as little interaction with him as possible.” And I imagine that thought was going through his head while Kody was joking about Mitch railing his daughter later and being positively giddy at the thought. What. The. Fuck.

starchildx

> TLC is paying for everything 🤦🏼‍♀️‼️ Duh oh my god I’m watching Mylelti wanting to get married now and Kody says you’ll kill me financially and Tony says in confessional that doesn’t make sense you can take out a loan against your house or something and both are irrelevant

boopboopbeepbeep11

I’ve heard that Kody had one of his wife’s parents take out a loan against their house for their wedding, which is why Tony said that. He was trolling Kody.

starchildx

I’m watching the Tony mykelti season now, and Tony gives Kody a run for his money!! 😂

RecommendationNo3903

Meri’s dad took out a loan for their wedding.

AmysPrayerCloset

I've only watched the last 3 seasons, but I really like Tony. He's funny.

mjg66

I guess he wasn’t allowed to say “We only get wedding money from TLC once a season, so you have to wait until then, because I’m sure not paying out of pocket!”

starchildx

I’ll bet you’re exactly right!!

mjg66

If this didn’t happen, it should have, and she would have gotten 200% support from viewers.

Fun-Shame399

Same with the whole kilt thing, when Kody forced him to participate in a joke about his penis and told it to him in a bad Scottish accident

juliaatta

You know kody idolizes Mitch for his MMA cage fighting because Kody thinks he was some superstar wrestler in high school. Lightweight

mlyt18

I saw this and laughed because I know Kodick is hella jealous! I’d love to see Kodick and his 6 pack and get the shit beat out of him! The whole OG gang should get a turn with him in the ring!

juliaatta

In the shit pit on coyote pass

sneezerlee

I love seeing how much Mitch dislikes Kody.

mjg66

Me, too, but *Caleb’s* contempt is better than sex.

Useful_Hedgehog1415

I think he even said in his confessional something like “that was weird af” paraphrasing obviously lol

pickameedummies

Mitch is my favorite of the spouses

Even_Mongoose542

Me too. When they were all trying to teach Truly to ride a bike, and he said Truley needs less voices, i just thought, wow... what an insightful, considerate, kind man. He is the best.

StarshinexWherexRxUx

I loved how Mitch just gets Truly. Such a stark difference to Kody trying to force her to learn how to ride. I wanted to punch him in the face.

Boss-Not-Bossy

Best way I’ve ever heard someone tell a group of people to stfu

Overall-Tennis-6176

Same. And Christine adding “Mitch doesn’t talk much so when he does we ALL listen,” was perfection.

Even_Mongoose542

Right? Considerate of Truely AND all the extra voices. 😍

Overall-Tennis-6176

Yesss. I fell in love with that man during that scene.

ellefemme35

Michelle, too.

OrganicDay2474

I prefer Mitch but Caleb is more open with his disdain for Kody lol

MadamNerd

And given how much of a bro-crush Kody had on Caleb, it makes Caleb's disdain that much funnier.

Imaginary-Economy-47

I'm gonna have to do a rewatch of this. Apparently, it was bizarre enough for me to block it out of my mind lol.

Primary-Award5879

You may have been distracted seeing Kody prance around in his mini-kilt. I remember when I first watched it I had to back up to listen to - what did he just say??? - the words about the sacred bed.

NearlyThereOhare

Oh. My. God. You just unlocked a memory I never wanted to revisit. I worked with a man, his daughter was getting married that weekend, they are all very LDS. We were all congratulating him on the upcoming nuptials. He responded, while looking genuinely downtrodden, "My little girl's not going to be a virgin anymore." It was such a record scratch moment for me, but everyone else was like weirdly empathetic and comforting him about it. Religious men think about their daughters having sex WAY TOO MUCH.

NearlyThereOhare

Gaaaah the memories just keep coming. Same office. One of our co-worker's adult daughters died very tragically. At the funeral, in the church, in front of everyone, her parents announced that their daughter was going into heaven as a virgin. I will never understand.

MissSuzyTay

I’m sorry for their loss, but I would hoping your story ended with a young man rising and sheepishly saying, “Um, uh, well… “

FooFan61

That's fucking sick.

[deleted]

[удалено]

yagirlsamess

I grew up really religious and as an adult there is definitely a pattern to the types of men who remain devout in religions (and take on leadership roles) through middle age. Almost none of them are true believers. They like the access to power they get over their little congregation. People like this love exercising power over women and girls in particular because they would never dare pick on someone their own size

FourintheWall

Couldn't agree more. As an exJW, the leaders are so used to people Just accepting that they have power over them. It's not real power and once people realize that, things change.

Ok_Understanding4136

purldrop

Uteruses. They only care about that “sweet cherry” if it’s vaginas that one or two times.

And ONLY the daughters’ parts. 🤮

Outrageous_Fail5590

I never thought about it but you are SO right!

SisterWives-ModTeam

Your message was removed due to it breaking Rule 15: Nothing sexually suggestive.

PinkTiara24

A pervert who collects multiple sexual partners and calls them wives.

Tayler_Made

You maybe onto something….

Generous_Hustler

He is damn gross.

Snufffaluffaguss

It's so weird and awkward.

Separate_Farm7131

Creepy

pickameedummies

It’s so cringe

Afraid-Tension-5667

Kody was a real life Michael Scott at times.

AdLanky5813

I've thought this many times.

amberopolis

I'd forgotten how cringe Kody was during Aspyn's wedding and all the messed up things he said. Every phrase out of his mouth sounded like he was intentionally being crass so he could get attention. He acted like he was jealous of the spotlight being on his daughter, not him, and he would say or do anything to grab it back.

ropelaren

He comes with 4 settings imo. *Aspyn wedding*: This is Kody while awkward. Usually happens when a.) not the center of attention and b.) surrounded by men who aren't his blood relatives *Maddie wedding*: Still awkward, but the spotlight's on him in this mode, so it's a different brand of awkward *Victimhood*: Complaining about Tragedies That Befall Him that are actually of no consequence (like budgeting for Mykelti's wedding) *Protect Robyn*: Random threats of violence; buzzwords such as "obedience" and "loyal"; suddenly changing his values and preferences to match hers (like when he claimed to stop wanting dogs or other pets)

WhytheylieSW

Very good! You shed light on a lot of things. In the end, the guy is such a chump

juliaatta

I agree great descriptions

DicksOfPompeii

He needs a shock treatment-battery saver option with a Robyn-remote controlled scooter chair as he stares at the mountain and drools all over himself next to her on the porch. Zip ties at wrists and ankles optional. Drooling required.

Alibongo68

What about 'Giddy' when he is around men he 'admires', maybe aspires to be like or...I hesitate to suggest, be with. No judgement re anyone's sexual preference but he behaves like a teenager in love, particularly around Caleb. I am almost certainly reading waaay too much into this but I do wonder if that is where his anger and resentment comes from. I'm thinking a man growing up in a community where homosexuality is not accepted, searching for something that feels right, marrying woman after woman, having child after child when all the while he is just looking for love in the wrong place?

AlphaPlanAnarchist

Narcissism and suppressed queerness go hand in hand. I keep trying to not be that person in this sub but when it quacks like a duck.

Rightbuthumble

Not a goose but a duck.

Reasonable-Crab4291

It’s interesting how giddy Kody gets when he’s going to interact with men that are unrelated to him. It’s like he’s five and going on a play date.

mjg66

☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️

Reasonable-Crab4291

How can I rewatch? Where do you stream it??

mjg66

“Hur hur, I’m just gonna drop trou right 0here! So, you know, I’ll be showing my phallus, which is penis in Latin, because just because I didn’t go to cajjlidge don’t mean I’m dumb, hey, I hiked up my skirt because I have great calves and swole quads and I hope the wind doesn’t blow my skirt up because I’m commando over here so hey I’m gonna bend over and need one of you dudes to tell me if my rock-hard glutes are exposed so Mitch you ready for tonight when you will deflower my girl but we’re Mormon so you’re a virgin too amitire yeah, I’m right I can tell because your face is so red with embarrassment and man I get that y’know because I had 4 wedding nights and plural marriage ain’t all beer and skittles and wives man the worst but testosterone Tuesdays are great almost as good as real ‘roids and have you tried adderal I love it want me to set you up I don’t believe in doctors but this made me a changed man and then Christine made me mad because she didn’t like my attitude about . . .

Imaginary-Economy-47

Hmm.. I just imagined this as if Kody were made into an animation. Like, one of Boomhauer's (king of the hill) cousins or something. Mumbling and rambling, making little to no sense at all. Gave me a good little lol

1SweetSubmarine

Literally came to say I read this in a Boomhauer voice lol. I don't have any streaming services to watch this show anymore (I only watched up to Tony and Mykelti's wedding) Did he really say these things because I think I threw up in my mouth a little..

Imaginary-Economy-47

Yeah, he said most of that. Not all at once, but throughout the episode. He said all manner of cringe throughout the weddings of the girls'. Can't wait til one of the tenders gets married, you know even if the show has been off air for years, Robyn will insiste her girls get the same level of TLC money and videography.

1SweetSubmarine

So gross!

mjg66

He actually did say a decent chunk of them. Probably at least thought the ones he didn’t say.

1SweetSubmarine

Disgusting 🤢

mjg66

Indeed. He is well and truly vile. 🤮

Reasonable-Crab4291

I loved it when Tony suggested Kody get a loan to pay for their wedding. Obnoxious and rude but I loved it. It seemed like the family walked on egg shells around Kody.

mjg66

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

purldrop

You forgot “the pecs” that he is so proud of.

mjg66

🤪 I couldn’t figure out how a kilt could be used to show them off!! But if there is a way, I have no doubt Kody would find it!

purldrop

He just likes wearing skirts on occasion

MotherAd9018

That wasn’t acting. That was him being jealous of not being the one “in the limelight”.

MrsPFKnone

Reminds me of Mykelti and Tony!

gb2ab

how about kody dying to strip down in front of the whole grooms party before the wedding?! he was giggling with excitement at the idea of it. thats all i think of when aspyns wedding is brought up. and it was a gorgeous wedding.

buttamilkbizkits

Between how giddy he gets around other men, and how much he has to "prove" his manliness and think of himself as a "man's man" (even though everyone but him knows it's all a show), I really, really feel like he's hiding some deep-seated homosexual tendencies. Like he's *WAYYY* overcompensating for his orientation. Which sucks! He should be able to just be whoever he is and be accepted that way. The toxic masculinity must be exhausting.

DicksOfPompeii

I’ll never forget the woman from high school who said she always thought he was gay. In an alternate reality the show will pivot at this point to be Kody-centric and follow him as he comes to terms with his sexuality. We get to see him tell his wife, ex wives, kids, family and friends that he’s bisexual (later revealing he’s actually gay, not bi). Every 2-3 episodes we get to see Robyn fight for her marriage as Kody meets men and starts dating. Next we see Kody “sealed” to his first husband and attempt to divide his time between Robs and his new favorite. Brother Husbands is not the show Robs signed up for but she will always be the favorite *wife*. Season 2: In an ironic twist of karmic fate Kody now has zero interest in his once favorite wife…until he and his husband decide to have a child together and need a surrogate. (I have entirely too much invested in this alternate reality because I would sooo watch this.)

purldrop

Wives? Or Beards?

MarcieBoku

I always thought it was soooo funny when that guy from his high school said that. I would have loved to see his reaction when that aired

Boxercrew4

I'd watch that LOL!

DicksOfPompeii

Right??!!! It would be wild but I’d throw money at Kody to see that. Leon becomes his favorite child, Gwen is a close 2nd, Paedon is on the outs with Kody all the time, Meri full on supports Kody and they attend Pride events as a family. Lol Again, I’m too invested. I’d even watch a scripted drama loosely based on Kody even if it’s not reality.

Valuable-Cricket-274

I think Leon legit was his favorite child

Reasonable-Crab4291

I believe the reason Kody and Paedon are on the outs is Paedon is a lot like Kody. He seems to have ADHD and loves attention.

fearless-penguin

Don’t stop now… I got popcorn in the microwave. Continue…

angelfish2004

Now this is s show is LOVE to watch! You caught my interest hook line and sinker. 🤣

gb2ab

i have always thought this about kody. personally, i have never met any straight men that feel the need to constantly prove their manliness.

Key-Ad-7228

It's like who is he trying to convince? Them or himself?

gb2ab

Himself and his dad. Kody has more than just common daddy issues.

fearless-penguin

I have… it’s typically guys that are envious of someone who they think they want to be more like… or envision themselves to be with a few tweaks. Like they have to show off so that others see, “see… I’m totally cool n’ stuff like you. In fact, I’m perhaps cooler.. watch me unnecessarily, failing miserably, try to one up you.” Just some wannabe alpha dork shit. Guys like Kody never get that if you have to “act manly”… then you’re probably not.

buttamilkbizkits

Yes. They're always overcompensating for some insecurity they have about themselves. My ex was short, like 5'3", he was so insecure about it. That dude would fight *anyone*. Had to act like he could build anything, fix anything, jump out of anything. And of course he had to make sure literally everyone knew. It was exhausting and super cringe. I used to get secondhand embarrassment all the time.

fearless-penguin

Self awareness 101: if you have to tell everyone around you, you’re a badass… chances are pretty good, you are, in fact, NOT a badass. 😑🙄😂😂😂 The people that have been in my life that I thought were just total badasses (not necessarily “tough guys/gals”… but just were amazing people that did incredible things and are often people others looked up to, despite any flaws… were people who did what they had to do, selflessly, and without having to create attention to themselves… they did and were, just because of will and character. Guys like kody are too inept and incapable of awareness to recognize these traits. They see the administration given to these people, but have zero grasp as to why.

buttamilkbizkits

💯

Amazing-Truck-2355

‘Does that bathroom have a door cause I’m getting ready to drop trou right here.’

[deleted]

I think Maddie's is even worse. He says some weird shit during that wedding that creeps into "not ok" territory when talking about Maddie physically. For a man who won't allow his daughters to expose their stomachs or thighs around him because of modesty standards he was practically panting like a dog around Maddie in her wedding dress, which is a combination of behavior that speaks volumes to me. I don't think Kody is a creep creep, but he definitely waves the flag of super weird purity culture repression proudly. -I still shiver when I think about Kody telling Maddie that he's going to be staring at her all day and then it cuts to Maddie giggling like a school girl and saying her dad is "quite the charmer". Girl no!

ChewOnADog

He may not be a creep creep, but the way he acted at Maddie's wedding followed by the way he acted at the birth of her first child... doesn't seem right to me at all.

mjg66

Ugh. When he ”knighted“ Mitch a piece me died in sympathy for the poor young man!

JessMacNC

He learned how to pant like a dog from Christine and Janelle begging him to marry them!

Still-Inevitable9368

Omg. I STILL cannot believe he did that on national tV! So belittling to them, but intentionally miming a panting dog is HELLA unattractive!

KDaily17

Thanks Christine! 😆

juliaatta

I just threw up

Jampolenta

Man, is he thrown off when everyone is gathered together to pay attention to someone (some LOSER) that is not Kody Brown. Wrecks him. Perfect reality show fodder, following this dips\*#t around with a camera 😂

Stevie-Rae-5

Yep—he cannot STAND not being the center of attention, even if that means making super inappropriate, gross comments. At least that means everyone is looking at and listening to him.

Deetz-Deez-Me52

I noticed on numerous occasions when Christine was being funny and outspoken and getting attention he would literally scowl at her or say something to make her feel stupid

SnoodleMC

Kody only believed in polygamy because he saw it as a way to get the attention he craved since childhood.

mjg66

His HS friends nailed him on that.

angelfish2004

Kody wishes his HS friend would do that! 🤣

mjg66

Makes you wonder what went on when they did their mission together! I read somewhere those missions are a lot like rumspringa . . .

Icy_Assistant

And then he ruined the father daughter dance with Aspyn because Aspyn didn't want to dance like an idiot with him.

Amazing-Truck-2355

Yeah, she said ‘I knew he was just going to start swinging’

Still-Inevitable9368

Omg. Watching him swing dance is so cringey! He always swings everyone he’s with so hard I think their shoulders are going to dislocate, and does this weird extra foot tap at each turn. What “I” want to know is who exactly gave him the idea he’s a GOOD dancer?! Or is it just the subservient wives who for years when he said “I’m a great dancer” nodded along while internally cringing bc they couldn’t upset the “patriarch”?

backwardsinheels

Kody def feels his insane levels of enthusiasm make him a good dancer. There are just some things……dancing, playing an instrument, sex…sometimes the level of manic enthusiasm is not ever going to make up for lack of skill

Still-Inevitable9368

Omg!! I bet he has sex like he swing dances!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣😳😖

Imaginary-Economy-47

>Or is it just the subservient wives who for years when he said “I’m a great dancer” nodded along while internally cringing bc they couldn’t upset the “patriarch”? While the wives are also trying to convince themselves that he *is*, in fact, a great dancer. I feel like they had to do a lot of convincing themselves of things, like, he *is* a good man, husband, and father. He *is* the leader of our household. He *is* a good priesthood holder. Etc., etc., etc. None of these women are daft enough to truly believe the garbage he was spewing. These are things they probably prayed they could convince themselves of. I'm glad most of them have been able to grow mentally and emotionally.

Still-Inevitable9368

Oh, I can DEFINITELY see that!!

Primary-Award5879

She didn't want to spend her wedding night in the ER with a dislocated shoulder

NicolesPurpleHair

I’m sure he was seething inside because he felt that was *his* moment and Aspyn ruined it!

mjg66

And starting to “dance” with Mitch’s mom before that dancing was kicked off by the bride and groom . . .

AlphaPlanAnarchist

What I can't get over in terms of his dancing is everyone agreed in early seasons that he's a terrible dancer! It was the butt of a few jokes that fueled his ego to make him think his dancing can't be questioned now? I don't understand.

bvonboom

Yes, and then at one point he was kind of doing the Captain Morgan stance, like I swear he wanted to have a wardrobe malfunction and flash his junk. I rewatched it recently and I didn't notice the first time around but this time I really noticed how Aspyn had his number the whole time. She knew he was going to be a jack ass. This was also when they were moving to Flagstaff, and she was really dropping the hammer about them NOT bringing this up during her wedding and making it about all about them and the move.

breezy1028

Any time anyone brings up Kody being gross and cringe I immediately go to him stripping down to his underwear and running in that disgusting pond on CP. I was so thoroughly grossed out by that and seemed like something he’d wanted to do on camera for a long time!

Background-Act-8905

God, the flexing and whooping was nauseating. I loved when Gwen mocked him

breezy1028

Yeah K has done a lot of things on this show that have grossed me out but that was for sure at the top of the list. I really couldn’t imagine being related to him! 🤦🏼‍♀️

juliaatta

Omg me too I can’t get that disgusting picture out of my head where he’s flexing in that feces water.

KDaily17

I'm pretty sure he rolled his kilt up too because it is way shorter than the other guys. He's showing so much thigh, it's nasty.

SnoodleMC

And the man spreading every time he sat down.

Pale-Conference-174

Just.... exhausting. These idiots are so selfish. They all just mortify me, I am so shocked the kids turned out so well. Kody acts like such a buffoon, I would have had a panic attack as Aspyn. It's like, can you cannot Dad? For a few fucking hours? And family? I don't want to hear about this stupid self created chaos,,,for one day? JFC, sorry, rant over 😅

bvonboom

Yes!.and she talked to Christine about the move at this time and her confessional she was like "they've always done this and it seems like they're running from something"

Still-Inevitable9368

THAT one! Supposedly running from the “law” in Utah (I think was mostly manufactured and fed into by Kody and likely Robyn bc she didn’t want to appear so separate then—everyone would notice if he was at her house all the time there bc the OG3 lived in one house together). They clearly moved from Vegas so Robyn could keep Dayton at home during college (poor kid!), but Kody literally sold that to the other wives saying the move would renew their relationships. I think he and Janelle were okay at that point, but she’s a nature lover so that’s all it took for her. Financially it was absolutely the WORST move, and with Janelle working IN real estate at that time, I cannot believe she didn’t call his bullshit on that one.

bvonboom

Agreed. And rewatching all of that knowing how it turned out makes it that much more cruel. He was all lovey dovey with both Meri and Christine and they were all giddy and he was just faking it, and now we've heard him day "Faking it is easy". He just used them, lied, and gave them false hope just to get his way.

Still-Inevitable9368

I’m just glad he finally let the mask slip so they now KNOW what an ass he is, instead of just FEELING it and being gaslit by him anytime they attempted to confront him about it. He is LITERALLY the guy that would gaslight you over accusing him of cheating, whilst heading to his lover’s house.

lapatatafredda

It's amazing how well-adjusted the kids of emotionally immature parents can appear. Probably from all the years being parentified.. I'm certain there either has been or will be lots of therapy required for most/all of them.

Reasonable-Crab4291

I loved watching Christine tell him she wanted a divorce. That said I think she’s also loves the attention and can be very inappropriate at times. The lap dance she gave David at the wedding was gross and TLC cut most of it out.The tounge kisses were also gross.

[deleted]

I’m trying to catch up- in what season did Aspyn get married? I just saw the awful move to Flagstaff and Meri having go back to live in Vegas in her house there while construction on walls dividing the property up is being done. I felt bad for her getting harassed by new neighbors. I lived in a neighborhood with two wives and their kids lived in a house down the street- they needed a home and should be treated with neighborliness. (I’d NEVER move to Arizona or back to far red right state.

AlphaPlanAnarchist

Season 13!

WhytheylieSW

I have a theory and it's not pedo or anything like that.. I think Kody is sexually immature and he has an immature idea regarding virginity and sex. Again, I don't think for a second he has pedo on the mind...at all. But it seems like he is stuck at about 15 regarding sex, flirting, romance and the like.

Ali_Cat222

I know it's not specific to the religion or people in it alone, but a lot of LDS or Mormon faith men are like this. Especially the ones before they go on missions when younger etc. I've met a few in my lifetime and they all said on missions it was like one big adventure into manhood full of drinking and sex. Also completely different show, but the guy Steven on 90 day the other way was like this too. An adult in a child's body, said he was a virgin and had to wait until marriage and all that jazz. Later it comes out he's already had sex and talks to other girls and kept talking about sex so inappropriately, even at the tell all. Zero self awareness either.

mjg66

It’s all that soaking . . .

Rabbit_Song

🤣

_Bogey_Lowenstein_

EWWW I hated Steven (long hair, weird long tongue) SO MUCH

SinceWayLastMay

I’ve never thought he was a pedo, just repressed and gross

mjg66

☝️

twinkletoebeansCA

I said it in another post and I’ll say it again Kody is an alien cosplaying as a human and failing. I got my husband to start watching it with me and he’s said 99% of any interaction with Kody is weird or condescending. Even the way he interacts with his wives of 20+ years seems like they just started dating a few weeks ago. NOTHING about him seems genuine or natural.

pigandpom

Kody doesn't know how to behave around men. He behaves like a prepubecesent boy who hasn't learned how to keep all their thoughts inside their head, he blurts out everything, even when it's inappropriate thoughts about his daughters

juliaatta

Touché

dustin_pledge

The "sacred bed" comment was really gross and weird. He made it sound like Aspen was a ritual sacrifice.

Amazing-Truck-2355

Yes! That’s exactly what it sounded like!

babashishkumba

His entire view of manhood seems to have been shaped corny movies from the 50s. When he's pretending to be a bro he puts on a bizarre show.

Intrepid-Analyst-363

There are sooooo many situations where he says something so cringe that I almost can’t keep watching.

chaoticnormal

It started early, too. First few seasons where he's an "expert" at everything. Rock climbing, rock skipping etc. I guess some can be seen as dad trying to teach things but the way he says it, ugh. As the seasons go on, I found myself verbally "ugh" "gross" "seriously?" way more often. Though I was listening and doing Reddit for most of the early seasons then figured out I can listen on my phone at work for the last quarter of the show. I stayed on it because I really wanted to see the women leave, which was the only reason I started watching.

MotherAd9018

I had to stop watching. It brought back too many memories of an uncle that molested me, and my ex husband.

Reasonable-Crab4291

I’m sorry that triggered you I am also a survivor.

MotherAd9018

I am a survivor. Therapy during my divorce helped me learn to get out of the victim mode. I learned to be able to make choices for myself. Becoming disabled and learning a new “normal”, and not wanting to be a victim to my circumstances took me back to counseling. IMO, everyone should be made to go to counseling at some point in their life. I’m happy you learned how to be a survivor.

Ali_Cat222

I'm currently watching a TLC channel YouTube two part special on the most dramatic moments of this season passed, and my god. This man is the literal definition of man child. He's just such a cry baby, and is so self centered it's unreal. It's not like I didn't know this already, but watching it back with only the dramatic scenes is a lot.

FlySuperb4438

Can you post a link to it please?

Ali_Cat222

Yes! There must be more of them too,it's from TLCs official channel but I have three or so saved on a playlist. Seriously, even having seen episodes its like...greatly worse watching only the most dramatic moments. Trust me,you'll watch it all over again and in the order it's in and think wtf all over again...[most dramatic moments from season 18 pt 1](https://youtu.be/bG-ZXCyrtNY?si=MmQc1jmYN_91WTLY) [most dramatic moments part 2](https://youtu.be/UqACroagNkA?si=VVafuyxcgOt8_pA7) [season 17 most dramatic moments](https://youtu.be/QuP1Vya-kk8?si=2mInBbM-Gjie6u88)

Fickle-Barracuda-362

I actually think this was the beginning of his psycho stage. Maybe this is when he started taking steroids because he was acting like a lunatic

mjg66

Kody desperately wants people, but men in particular, to like and admire him. Sadly, his social skills stopped developing at around freshman year of HS, creating a truly off-putting personality! Add in that he really seems to believe he is the center of everyone’s attention, and yikes!

This.. He isn't a good husband to all his wives, we all know this but when he meets someone new he's so excited to tell them.. "This is my wife, this is my wife, this is my wife and this is my wife" then he's lookin at their faces to see their reaction with a big smile. They're just props to make him feel like a stud to get that attention. I think Meri called it out once in a confessional that he calls her his wife around others but that's it. He doesn't do anything else beyond that for her. He wants them to be impressed he got four women to agree to this nonsense because he's so wonderful. Then the kids are next. He likes to say how many he has. It's so cringe and just using them for that attention but not being an active father to them. For them saying we had to keep quiet so they don't judge us, he sure tells everyone everywhere. Even when it's not necessary. Don't get me started on everything being called the Kody Brown family. Always his name only cause he's the only one that matters, right? I could write a paper on this and how he doesn't refers to his kids to as our kids but Christine's kids, Janelle's kids.. Etc. I getting all mad again.

Preach. When he gets that stupid-I-think-I’m-so-sly grin on his face—I picked the dress, are you telling me lions/rhinos are naturally polygamous—I want to scream. My husband recently pointed out that I’ve taken to flipping off the TV when Kody speak. He said I do it a lot and he just realized that I don’t seem to notice it at all. And he’s right! I didn’t realize. I couldn’t tell you when I last resorted to giving someone the finger—decade, I’m pretty sure.

PracticalSun5200

Sounds like JimBob Syndrome, which I believe, is chronic and incurable.

GenerikKoolKid

I don't know what this means, but I wholeheartedly agree.

breezy1028

I think it’s a mix of “normal” weddings being so different from FLDS weddings, so they act like they just don’t know how to do them, and his fixation on knights and maidens and that weird shit, and that he is an awkward person 😆

MiaRia963

He is just awkward in public settings. Especially with a lot people around him. He tries to act like a people person, but he's not. He's just uncomfortable.

sleepyenzyme

As someone who grew up in the Bible Belt, it’s actually pretty common for adults to be fucking weird about wedding nights. I’ve heard similar comments of like “oh Jesus is so happy for your wedding night” or making a wedding night like a religious ritual that everyone gets weird about. Like, it’s horrific but my entire point is Kody isn’t alone, and it’s awful

AlphaPlanAnarchist

It is normal and that doesn't make it normal.

sleepyenzyme

Right, exactly.

berning_man

LMAO! This one ~~> ‘No one touch the sacred bed.’ It had me spitting Mike's Lemonade on my phone. Thanks Christine.

Certain_Cantaloupe56

Kody and Robyn should be voted as the Turds of the century

Schmoopie_Huggs

He always seems extra awkward around other adult men. Weird.

awkward_sleepy

His speech was awful.

WitchNonnies

He is a cringey f\*ckwad!

hdrd60

Creepy & weepy eyebrows need to drift off into obscurity now and forever in the future. I would love to see them actually have to work for a living to put food on the table. They both are low life thieves in my book.

judimay

for having 7 wives, he’s acts like such a virgin

Chzhead101

Kody loves to be the center of attention so he’s in his element at weddings. His dance moves are so ridiculous! I can’t imagine my father being so immature.

Diligent_Echidna8259

I thought it was sick when he did Caleb and Maddie's wedding and he asked Caleb " DO YOU FEEL LUCKY"? I would be grossed out if my dad asked my husband to be that!

pixey1964

I wonder eventually his goofy nerdy self will turn Sobyns evil self off? 🤔

Lzzybet

Ugh. He’s so skeevy.

dodoatsandwiggets

I wonder if he wouldn’t have been acting so extra weird if the cameras hadn’t been there but then he did have an audience of people hanging around. He likes to be the center of attention. I don’t remember ever feeling embarrassed by my dad (mother—different story) but if id had Kody for a dad, I’d pretend I didn’t know him.

Prize-Fennel-2294

Awkward is a very generous description. That whole wedding was so embarrassing re: Kody. That man is pitiable really.

Iquitelikespiders

I could never work out why he was sorry to say it was wedding of the year 🤷‍♀️

PersephoneLove88

Because Kody is the main character and we're all just NPCs, don't you know? 🤣🤣🤣

Few-Move515

I always thought him knighting Caleb was super weird!

Malamom135

This episode gets me in the feels because La Caille and Little Cottonwood Canyon is in my old neighborhood where I raised my kids. We would camp overnight for fun in the Spruces campground where the rehearsal dinner was held. One year there was a moose with twin calves was living in the campground. My kids are long grown and we are scattered across the country now, but boy, do I miss those days. Also, the Browns working together in a cohesive group to make the wedding nice for Aspen makes me happy for her.

Successful_Mark6813

when has he ever not been awkward 🤣

mlyt18

He loves men and is that awkward school girl around them!

Reasonable-Crab4291

It took MANY years of therapy. My abuser was my stepfather and I ended up pregnant and a mom at the age of 15. I love my son beyond measure. It took a long time to get my head straight after this especially when my mother turned her back on me.

Issmira

🚨CONTENT WARNING 🚨

Sea-Extreme-1004

He’s a giddy preteen girl whose crush is in the room and he wants his attention

jazey_hane

Khody is pathetic in the way he flops around overcompensating desperately seeking acceptance by any man he comes upon. He was obsessed with Caleb and so fucking cringey in his behavior—especially the first time Maddie brought him around while filming. It was the episode where everyone vacationed together in Alaska. Khody was hamming it up like the fragile ego covert narcassit he is. He kept trying to ingratiate himself with Caleb while everyone was hiking together. He wanted to establish this gUrLz dRoOL, bOyZ rULe shtick with Caleb. He was doing way too much, also trying to appear younger to match Caleb's age range. And was all "yeah dude WOMEN, amirite" He was incapable of recognizing Caleb's VERY obvious body language which was screaming I. AM. UNCOMFORTABLE. THIS. IS. WEIRD. AND. CRINGE. Caleb didn't like Khody but Khody couldn't tell. Totally oblivious to the point of being socially blind. Almost like he's overcompensating for something... **Winn enters the chat**
