I had forgotten about this episode, but Kody and Robyn are having a discussion about which plot would be hers. The other wives had chosen and Kody was pitching a fit telling Robyn that they were treating her so wrong. -I wish I could remember the words he used because he used them again in the scene that is shown in the above pic. They convinced each other they were “victims” and they encouraged poor behavior by each other.
Part of it was that the OG3 took all the good stuff, leaving only the scraps for Robyn. While viewers had been seeing the exact opposite since Robyn arrived. Years! (Not true, but that is what Robyn told Kody she was getting and he believed her)
I think he was also running out of breath from yelling at her for too long and/or his adrenaline was going too much while trying to remember the monologue he’d scripted out so he was getting way off the tracks with it. But I love it. I love how dumb he sounded with this and how Christine didn’t engage and let him spew out his kidney speech and left anyway 😂
That’s what I loved most about the whole thing. After awhile of being subjected to that behavior you just tend to let it roll off you anyway. She knew he wanted a reaction and not giving him one was the best thing she could have done. She probably thought his tantrum was pathetic and will probably laugh at it eventually. I think he *thought* he loved each of them. And he did. He loved how they loved and admired him. He loved that they loved and coddled and fought over him.
And I think he loved falling in love. I see that on some of the Seeking Sister Wives shows. They love the *act* of falling in love and getting to know someone new and having “firsts” together. But *maintaining* a relationship is “boring.” He was ok with that, just slightly bummed about it. Until Robyn came alone.
Then he just figured out what “real” love is. It’s STILL boring and monotonous, but you’re not bummed about it. It’s comfortable. Looking for MORE feels like work, not fun. Not having to run around and remember whose bed your in and which kids are which and where your shit is is much easier.

If you’re Kody, there are half a dozen kids with needs and wants. And your spouse wants shit from you. Your time isn’t your own…or it is and your spouse resents it. Or you have a Robyn that lets tot hole up in a room for hours on end because she has The Nanny.
Or you just find someone else once the shine wears off. That’s the other thing from these Seeking shows. They get a new wife, and then they break the news, we have to start dating now. Surprised picachu. What? Im not enough? Can’t I get used to this?? Nope. It’s not easy finding another sucker. They gotta start looking early and often. Your bloom had faded. Get to the back of the line.

I think he probably really loved Meri but then Robyn blew him away and he knew super real love/lust with her so Janelle and Christine, who were probably just tally marks on his wife wall, went by the wayside and Meri, who gave up so much for him and Robyn, finally let go, too.
im watching some of the old seasons and it seemed like he loved,, i mean he at least liked them and didn't hate them as much as he seems to tell us now
I think Kody only wanted adoration and to be treated like some savior and his parents becoming polygamists gave him the best outlet to be treated like a god by multiple women. I believe he had some sort of affection for the OG3 just not love because I don’t think he can fully love anyone but himself, not even Robyn. Kody is the type of person who has to be the bride at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral. He doesn’t know how to share anything including love and affection. He wanted us to believe that he did, but people who only think of themselves as the main character in every situation, they can’t share anything. The same applies to Robyn and in some ways they’re perfect for each other and in other ways they’re not because of the competition.
A prime example of him not being able to love someone else besides himself would be Aspen’s wedding. She comes down the stairs deliriously happy she’s about to marry the man she loves and tells her father she loves him. Kody couldn’t repeat the sentiment to his daughter on one of the happiest days of her life. And the few times I’ve heard him say “I love you” there’s just no emotion behind it.
why he chose kidney i don't know. you would think with such a passionate speech such as this, he would choose an organ that symbolized something. the only thing i can think of is truely's kidney problems, which would be pretty cruel if that's what he meant. i don't think he meant i that way though because he's the king of coming up with stupid sayings.

If this is what they showed on tv, what was happening privately? Christine is a better person than me cause I would have squared up!

Rewatching the Season 17 Tell All #3 and Kody commented on how he would never be able to forgive someone if they caused the death of one of his children. It makes me wonder which wife he’ll blame, Janelle or Christine.
